As a scholar of history, might I also add that history is written only by the victors, and it is proven since ancient and medieval civilizations that whoever is the current will always negate the past in order to make the present appear pleasing and the past as suppressing. This is why when archeological findings see how succeeding empires would tarnish their predecessors because they would want to build their own glory for their own time. And you see this most effective when people control any form of information that correlates to any experience in the past and why people become vindicated to display atrocities more than any good deed.
