HEADS UP: sometimes even I don’t understand what he’s saying. Limburgs (his dialect) is infamous for being one of the most difficult to understand of the whole Dutch language, together with West-Flemish (my dialect lmaoooo) anyways HERE GOES THE TRANSLATING AAAAAA

I'm Dutch and I never considered Dutch being a sexy dialect. You sir, changed my mind!
I am soooo close to being able to understand what’s going on here, but I just can’t quite get there! I’ve picked up on a few phrases, like the fact that he calls you “treasure” (if that word does indeed mean the same as in Danish and German), telling you to sleep, everything will be alright and also something I’m pretty sure is about being “mine and only mine” (which is then also reversed when he says “yours and only yours” shortly thereafter). I think. At least I hope so, or I will have failed as someone everyone else thinks is good at languages.

All the things you said are right. He is also trying to soothe you and at one point he wants to kiss you but decides not to since he wants you to be his and learn the language first. There are some parts I don’t get either but it becomes more clearer after the beginning

I’m Dutch and even I didn’t understand a single thing😂 for me it sounds like a combination between dutch and german and that’s probably the reason why I don’t understand it either (my german is not so good) but keep up with the good work👍

I don’t understand anything but ether way my heart and ears are melting
Man so this is your native language, no wonder I sometimes hear a bit of German accent in your English (95%of the time it's British with a hint of dutch though) I've been around people who speak German/Dutch, this is the first time I hear this dialect, and to be honest I find the sound of it surprisingly more beautiful than both(damn I thought I was committed to German lol) Something about it is less harsh, nor sing-song like. I guess we all learn something new everyday. It's always wonderful to see someone perform in their mother tongue, so much more depth.

I kept staring in front of me like "why can I understand this, clearly this isn't proper dutch.." and then I realized hes speaking my dialect LMAO
"Vinje", "Heng", "Niemes", "Sjloap", "Haje" etc.; heel veel schone dialectwoorden.
Ik kom veel in 't Limburgse, maar luister niet al te vaak naar dialect en spreek geen dialect, dus kan het helaas niet precies plaatsen.
Het is sowieso een dialect van een dorpje ten zuiden van Venlo (en ten zuiden van Limburg ter hoogte van Venlo).
Tegelijkertijd heeft het niet echt de tonen en klanken van de meest dialecten in het uiterste zuiden (geen Maastrichts, geen Voerendaals).
Het doet me in dat opzicht meer denken aan een dorpsdialect in de gebieden rondom Roermond en Weert (ten noorden van de nek, ten zuiden van Venlo).
