- On today's episode of going to the WORST REVIEWED MAKEUP ARTIST, this worst rated makeup artist told me that my face was HAIRY!
I'm assuming she said this to upsell me to get me to wax my face (because they also do waxing) but I didn't know that insulting your customers was a way to sell more services. LOL.
I was greeted with so much hair on the counter tops, they even had pink wax sticks WITH the waxed hair left on them just laying around - it really was disgusting to see.

As someone with hirsuitism due to pcos, I can promise you that you absolutely do NOT have a hairy face
As someone who also has that problem for the same reason I completely agree. They wanna see a hairy face I can show them my beard I can grow if I let it 😂

I don’t have it really bad but I got some thick hairs on my chin and on my cheeks. I can say compared to other women without PCOS, she looks completely fine
These “salons” all say the same exact 💩 to get you to buy more of their services. “ you have load of blackheads” “you’re so hairy” “you need a nail fill” etc same 💩 im just appalled at how rude they can be like as if I’m now going to buy your service after you talk down to me like that, there are more professional ways of asking…🙄 I don’t know if this is how you are all the time, because I ca be very meek, and sometimes shy and these people tend to sense that and try to take advantage, you’re a sweetheart though.
It's very disgusting, it's supposed to be a relaxing time but how can anyone enjoy the experience when they're getting bombarded with insults!
That’s the whole point of why they’re doing this. In order to charge clients with more money, clients need to agree to more services. However, there’s a better way of doing this without lowering the self-esteem of the clientele.

as OP said, there are MUCH better ways of doing it.

@@elle450 to offer other services, like if you get your hair done at the salon and they (or you) mention you need to get your eyebrows done. they’ll mention that they offer that service as well and try to get you to spend more money at their business.
Saying you have a hairy face full of blackheads isn't exactly the best way to get you to come in more lol! Honestly your gorgeous.
I would love to see a 5 star makeup artist video just showing the whole process like these 1 star ones. The relaxing asmr from these videos plus the comfort of not being grossed out by the hygiene of these 1 star places.

The MUA is the one probably giving her customers blackheads by applying products on their skin straight from the tube/dropper etc...

I know you're too kind to do that, but I feel like I want to tell her on your behalf. You're gorgeous, and it's such bad manners to tell any customer, especially a new one, stuff like that, even if it were true. Which it isn't!

It started off well, insulting your skin and telling you you're hairy. Got even better when she spent 60% of the appointment trying to stretch your skin right off your face. The makeup ended up looking okay, but definitely don't return.

Contouring was unblended. Over lapping the top lip was sloppy and unnecessary but the eye shadow and lip colour were complimentary. Very natural look.

Why must they always cover your beauty marks/freckles that kills me!! And I did like her sweater at least but that hair dryer or whatever noise was killing me!! And I give your look a 4/10!!

The foundation or concealer she used in the beginning to cover up ur 'blackheads' and 'hairy' forehead was an atrocious color that wasn't even close to ur skin tone. I think she should have left ur skin as is....

The makeup is terrible! Girl, it looks horrible. Look at your eyebrows! She couldn’t even fill in your lip shape - and the color story is completely wrong. As someone who works professionally doing makeup, I’m horrified there are people charging money for something that they cannot do properly.
Why do you say tell them “Thank You?” Tell them the truth.

I actually really enjoyed this MUA 😊😍 I liked that she was detailed... But still need practice to be better. Eyebrows should have been blended more and maybe use an eyebrow pencil instead of the powder... I mean not bad at all. Ohhh the lipstick color is very nice on you 💕

I don’t know if it’s just because I’m American but I can’t believe how straightforward some people are. If someone said that I had a lot of blackheads and a hairy face while doing my makeup I think I’d pass away.
Also, I forget where I heard this but you aren’t supposed to put makeup over freshly waxed areas! She shouldn’t be trying to upsell those services.

It did turn out pretty good, all things considered. The problem with the eyebrows is that she followed your natural brow, which is almost never symmetrical on people. Our faces are not perfectly symmetrical. I do like the eyeshadow, but wish the green was the teensiest bit darker.
My problem with her, with the place in general, was the hygiene of the place. That she dispensed makeup directly to your face from the containers, and not a palette, and did not use any kind of single-use applicator is not good.
Mua did light and soft colors.
