I love making Christmas ornaments! I used to do it every year with my elementary students. We would make about five different ornaments and those would become our gifts for our parents. Then they always had something to put on the tree and remember being in my class. I would love using old ornaments or recycle supplies left over from peoples art supplies when I could. This is a clever new way to use up leftover ornaments from making wreaths for the church Bazaar. Happy fall Mark!
That's such a wonderful idea. I still have a set that my brothers & I made for our parents and I put them on my tree each year. They are the one thing I would take out in a fire!
Your tree will be stunning with these ornaments Mark! These are so pretty and such an easy craft for kids to enjoy. Thank you for another great idea! Have a great weekend!
Now that's the way it looks in my head!! I had previously tried this with nail polish but it was just too heavy and thick on thin plastic ornaments...Thanks, Mark! Those look like blown glass 🤩
Wow they turned out gorgeous. I have to say I wasn't sure about this one . But they are beautiful in the end .I keep my tree up all year and decorate to keep things cheerful love to have happy around me . Love your project so beautiful 😍 ❤ stay safe.
Mark - these are wonderful!! I love the art of hydro-dipping and happy to see the technique used for Xmas ornaments. Question...why should I use these instead of the Dollar Tree nail polishes I've used for years? As always, beautiful job and thank you for sharing?
Hey Anthonia, this formula is different...It's thinner and there are at least a hundred more colors and sheens that you can apply. Nail polish is great, but just too unpredictable.
Those are gorgeous! I just bought my newest Hallmark ornament (I collect the ones with the Wicked Witch of the West only as she is my hero! LOL). I love these. The would look cool with my country, woodland type ornaments I decorate with!
Hi Susan! They are really pretty on the tree especially with lights shining through...They look like blown glass. *Follow me on Instagram if you're there, too! I'm here: instagram.com/themarkmontano/reels/
What a fabulous way to revamp older ornaments. I have ornaments that I inherited that aren’t quite my style and this seems like an easy way to make them reflect my style. Previously I had been pondering alcohol ink. Wonder which is better for ornament revival.
Gorgeous new colors to play with , I guess my favorite Holiday memory was when my grandmother put hay under the table cloth and under the table to represent the stable/manger , and she would throw nuts and candies and all the kids would go looking for them, i am the youngest of ten, plus cousins etc, it was a feeding frenzy, lol what I would give to go back to those simple days, XOX Have a great week Mark !
Oh wow these are gorgeous!! Finally a paint product that should make it easier to marble💜 I believe this will be a project to do with my daughter, along with making an ornament for each of our pets… any suggestions??
You know it Lala! I love my family and I'm so glad to be near them during the holidays...Actually, any time I can spend time with them I'm pretty happy!
Hello! Hope you are doing well. Ooo, very pretty and simple. Another great craft idea for my students. Please give us an update on your new show, when it starts, and where to watch
Ok! This is a project I am going to do with my great niece and nephew!!! Plus my cats can’t break the shatter proof ornaments! Thanks for another fantastic idea!!!!
Those little kitty monsters love Christmas ornaments! My cat used to get as high as she could on the surrounding furniture and then dive straight INTO the tree. It was hilarious and really annoying at 2 a.m.!
Wow!!! Those are beautiful!!! Happy Holidays!!! =) So much has changed, and so many people are gone now…. So we don’t really do any Christmassy things anymore…. I am wanting to get into this What all do I need ? Do you clean the ornaments first with something ? I am disabled and needing to make some extra income
Hey Mark! Wow! Those are beautiful! I love that glitter effect. I’m still thinking about my color scheme for this year. I do love a tree with all colors but I’m leaning towards (and I never thought I’d choose this) a blue and silver tree. That blue that’s kinda like turquoise but not. You know the one? Anyway, this would be gorgeous! Thanks Mark! ❤️💜💚
I love blue and silver together! Classy! Believe it or not, I'm going traditional this year with all recycled ornaments. I've been making them for days and days already!
@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark Oh that’s going to be really pretty. I’m making a lot of mine as well. Most of them. I have a few ice picked up that are going to be really cute. It’s gonna be great!! ❤️💜💚

You don't have to change the water if you brush the extra paint away before you pull them from the water. You pull the paint away so that it doesn't repaint the ornament.
These are beautiful Mark. Are these glass or plastic? I tried doing this once and the ornaments melted. I don't know what I did wrong. I hope your Halloween went great. Maybe I'll try it your way if I can afford to.
Oooooh, Mark! I love it! Consider: Miniature Christmas ornament earrings and pendant! How CUTE would that be?! Perfection! Thanks, Mark!
Great idea Pola! I love little ornament jewelry!!!
Love the idea!😯😁
Wonderful work
Nice to see you tonight Tony!

Hi from Sydney,they are beautiful.
Hellooooo Andrew from Sydney!
Gorgeous!!
So you have to add more paint for every ornament?
Love these! ❤️
Hi Beth, yes, you need to drip more paint for each ornament. Same with traditional marbling. Most of the paint will come off on the ornament.

Hi D C! You could try nail polish on water, but I can't guarantee the same results.
Bonjour mark c'est super jolie mais c'est quoi comme peinture ?? Bon vendredi bisous de France 😘😘

@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark super.. je vais essayer avec du vernis à ongles merci mark et bon début de week-end bisous
Do you have to change water with each ornament. Why did you scrape paint across the bowl??
You don't have to change the water if you brush the extra paint away before you pull them from the water. You pull the paint away so that it doesn't repaint the ornament.
These are beautiful. I wonder if the Christmas Tree decorating came from Alberts German side? Just a thought.
Hi Sonya! Great to see you today!
I had that same thought, too! I think it was the German side!
Do you need to put anything over it after being dipped?
I usually don't because this paint has an enamel base but you could spray them with light coats of a high gloss lacquer if you wanted.
should they be sealed? or does the marbling agent give a sheen?
Nope, you don't need to seal them. Just let them dry for a while and you're good to go!
Can you use pouring paint to do this
Yes, but it's a different technique and the paint is opaque.
These are beautiful Mark. Are these glass or plastic? I tried doing this once and the ornaments melted. I don't know what I did wrong. I hope your Halloween went great. Maybe I'll try it your way if I can afford to.
These were plastic, but they worked perfectly...No melting at all!
@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark Good to know Mark Thanks for letting me know.
What did you use in the water??
It's called Easy Marble but you can use nail polish if you find colors that you like.
Is this paint acrylic paint?
No, it's an enamel.
Yeaaaaaaaa
Yup, so much fun!
I didn't realize this process was so easy! I tried the nail polish but it always got gunky! Is that a word?
