    I bought the 1TB version. It's a pretty nice PC. Very unique, that's for sure. I do my retro gaming with a Rasperry Pi, but after seeing this I might try it with this unit on a second drive. I'd never heard of Batocera, but I'll likely try it using that.

    I want to see a comparisson with the s1 with N100 at 15w, if the original n100 with 6w did almost the same as the N95, maybe the 15w can be better, both it's difficult find videos with the N100(15w)

    So, what's with the 0 degrees C CPU temp?
    Good video, though I admit I do want to see what else it can do other than retro games.
    Modern games, video editing, etc. Of course I realize your channel might not be focused on other things, so no problem.
    For the price is not bad, that thing is clear.
    Thanks for the video.

    • @RetroGamingGuy
      @RetroGamingGuy  8 місяців тому +1

      I'll have to check on that. It was probably just that I filmed before it fully loaded the temp in. That's not what I typically focus on but you made a great point and I personal video edit every single day so I'll have to show that in future reviews. I'm picky with what computers I use for video editing because I use a cloud based platform that does require a speedy and powerful setup to do large edits. Thanks for the comment. Love hearing ways to be more thorough.

    Completely agree with you about the innovation of the design of this little PC. It is not just a boring black box. The performance appears to be pretty good too. I am hoping that as more and more people shift to these smaller PCs with integrated graphics that it will force companies like NVidea to reduce the price of their GPUs. Yes they have come down in price quite a bit, but I still think the higher end GPUs are way overpriced. We can all dream I guess.

      Haha that's a video coming out next week actually. Sometimes stuff is sent to me to review by the company, manufacturer, or a reseller and I send it back to them if it was purely a trial product. This is usually the case with products that are new releases or just being released. Sometimes I buy the products myself in which case I either keep it for a specific use I have for it or I sell it to recoup some money that can be put towards another product review. Other times it gets put on a shelf and eventually that shelf becomes so crowded with stuff that I have to figure out what to do with it....and that's where I'm at currently so I'm going to be doing a bunch of raffles here on a live video for a ton of stuff. Everything will be going out the door 100% free no gimmicks or BS. No hidden fees or shipping costs so definitely stay tuned for that.

      you can get a mini pc with way better performance than a Pi for less money so to me the decision is obvious! I have an older HP that can play everything up to ps1-n64-dreamcast, and a select number of of ps2 and gamecube games.

    Mostly good review. Kind a disappointing that you don't know or won't mention the virus backdoor. Anyone using this pc should do a clean install and not put the lcd control software on it. If you already used it, change every password, log in, crypto wallet, 2fa everything needs to be changed.
    All that info has been collected
    See other youtube reviews about acemagic pc's
    Getting mine in a few days, going to nuke it the second it arrives.

      I have another ace pc review coming. I have since mentioned this issue but this one's from November and was sent to be prior to that whole malware issue. I have bought a AcePC laptop since and had a good experience. No viruses found or malware. Clean install is always a safe bet but I always scan everything extensively and have never found anything. I know they had a major issue but I do believe that it was limited to one bad batch. The good we should take from debacle tho is that we now know you have to scan everything you get even if it's brand new. Good lesson in awareness

    The more people like you promote these devices, the more expensive they become, making it impossible for the average gamer to buy one. thank you for nothing. another consequence is that your promotion also drives up the prices on all price categories, including used devices, so, again, thanks for nothing

    • @RetroGamingGuy
      @RetroGamingGuy  9 місяців тому +9

      First off I don't "promote" these mini PCs. I test and review them. If people want to buy after because they like the price for what is offered then great. Videos like this educate people on the capabilities of the products. Without that people have to guess what it can do with gaming from the specs or go off what the companies advertise. Just to be clear then....what would you like content creators to do exactly? Tank prices on both used and new markets so you can better afford them? If you like content that bashes products and companies there's no shortage of channels doing that but that's not me unless the product or companies are really doing something crazy. Remember if you don't agree or like the content....this platform has tons of other content for you to enjoy 👍🏻.

    • @moenibus

      @@RetroGamingGuyInsulting, my friend, won't change the fact that these channels drive the prices up. I get your point, but take for example, Serve The Home. The muppet over there have a business disguised as a "project" of hoarding mini/micro PCs and then driving the prices up for his benefit. In this case, i hope the supply is enough for the prices to be stable. My comment is not "stupid", it's stating what's happening both in the mini pc market and in the retro gaming market as well. best regards. hope you take this as intended

      @@moenibuswho the hell pissed in your cereal buddy?..it's a review for God's sake!..Amazon literally has coupons that bring the price down..the market is flooded with computers at a cheap rate right now so what is your problem? ..I didn't know this computer existed until @Retro Gaming Guy reviewed it and I'm glad he did..if this sells out it will be back in no time or a better version, you are entitled to your position and opinions but you should relax at the same.
