Big up yourself! One love. Free africa ❤️

I am glad that GETchan posted this, but the best part of Radio Free Grenada between 1979-1983 was the announcers talking between the songs.
Do you know if theres a recording archive of Radio Free Grenada? I haven't been able to find one yet.
@@lucadhagat9364 I have found any either. I made a few tapes when i was there 1979-1980), but don’t know where there are at this time.
@@geologyjohn1 sad. I wouldn't be surprised if the us puppet government that took over after the invasion destroyed a lot of the records. If you ever find those tapes please put the recordings up on yt
@@geologyjohn1 also was meaning to ask. do you want to drop some insight into what you saw and experienced as an eyewitness?
@@lucadhagat9364 I was a "world music" DJ at RFG from August 1982 until the US invasion October 25, 1983. I lived at Carifta Cottages, near Grands Anse beach, about 200 yards from the main broadcast building. On the second day of the invasion, a helicopter gunship shot the Cottages to pieces. That same day, the RFG building was hit by U.S. missles--destroying the entire audio-archive of the nation of Grenada. THAT's why we do not have it. It was intentional erasure of Grenada's history.
There's a straight up distrack on Jimmy Carter in this
Caribbean communist music is so unique!!
Imagine laying under the palms of communist Grenada, what a great world this would be
palms + communism=great
I know we tend to shy away from the term communist paradise. But in this situation it is applicable! God the more I learn about the Granada Revolution the more angry I get that America meddled in this country. Killing both the people of the small country and several hundred Cuban troops who were there. The revolution majorly improved the living standards and infrastructure of the island which only had a population of about 100k, the size of a small US city. We just couldn't leave well enough alone. Fuck Regan. Death to America.
@@parkercushingable By the time of the invasion the revolution was already going down the toilet due to infighting. Maurice Bishop was wildly popular, but he’d been overthrown and executed by hardliners within the NJM, who established a truly tyrannical and oppressive regime, with none of the support Bishop had had. The Grenadian people themselves were rising up against the new Revolutionary Military Council by the time America invaded
@@LordDim1 True. It's tragic though, because I really feel that Bishop had good intentions, but also good plans, for Grenada.
(Though of course, the US loved such an opportunity to end the whole socialist experience at once)
@@LordDim1 those "hardliner" cowards surrendered instantly when they got invaded. Bernard Coard's gang were nothing but traitors and imperialist helpers. RIP Maurice Bishop
It would be interesting if we had an hour communist music from Burkina Faso and an hour of communist music from Malaysia to listen to.
Stand Up, Grenada!
Also it would be interesting to have an hour of communist music from South Yemen (PDR Yemen).
Keep it up Comrade! Proud of you for uploading all this great music!
Grenada? Was not expecting that.
Me neither, but I'm very glad he did it! (:
1 month? No, more than 4 years!!!
Because of this America along with Jamaica invaded them 😂
@@IamINERT Which was a good thing. Thank God!
@@haydenc41_82 the revolution lasted for 4 years until the US invasion.
An hour of communist music from Ethiopia would also be good.
Your channel is so moving, thank you thank you. Do you realize how important is the work you are doing???
greetings from Lithuania!!
Noticed you haven't done Australian yet. That would be cool to see. Loved this one though, keep it up!
What it could've been 🙏
My Grenadian brothers
Love from Jamaica ✊
That song "Stand firm", where could I download it? :) I love it! Other songs are awesome too (I'd download those tooooooo) ofc!
I know it's surprisingly catchy
But I can't find it for the love of everything! :/
Where did you find the song “human rights”?
Hello
Nice to listen the first notes of the original version 0:00 to 0:04
I want to see a video of Mexican communist music. can you please upload it?
Based music

Great songs! Do you also have the names of the artists? Thanks for the upload!
Interesting to hear from a Russian. This is what I've been telling some of these young people here.
"Foreword Ever, Backward Never". Or was it the other way around?
No you have it correct

Beautiful! It does seem like Grenada and Jamaica are sister-countries!
I love this it sounds like something from a far cry game
🇬🇩!
GETchan, when do you post some venezuelan communist music?
You are right, it's only 16 hours ago he did it! Perhaps it's because he read my suggestion to you.
+Christian Gjelstrup Getchan also has some music from Venezuela it's the 1 hour Chavista music video. Which feature songs from Hugo Chavez'es party.
***** Hugo Chavez? Isn't he from Bolivia?
Christian Gjelstrup No, he was the previous president in Venezuela but died 3 years ago. He was also born in Venezuela. Though he got backing and support from both Bolivia and Cuba and he got much ideological inspiration from those two.
Why it's called one hour Chavista music is because it's mostly songs from the socialist party which Chavez led and songs from his supporters which where called Chavista's hence the name. I totally understand why it sounds confusing. The video you requested was about general communist music in Venezuela, why I am mentioning Chavista music is since it was closely associated with other communist movements there and they also got pretty good songs. Hope this made sense :)
***** It did :) But i Chaves is venezuelan, what is then the name of Bolivias socialist president?
Typical song hymn of grenadian revolución! 3:25 played in the morning of the US invasión day in Radio Free Grenada!
I didn't find a lot, but I think Switzerland has communist songs.
Can you do a one hour of Spanish communist music?
Hopefully if we are weimar we communists will turn the tides
So you are telling me that all this music was made within the 6 days Hudson Austin was leader of Grenada?
Grenada was in chaos in the aftermath of Austin's coup. Chances are that they were made during Bishop's tenure.
+GETchan can you please upload Mexican communist music
you don't need to be in power to make music. GETchan has posted plenty of music from countries that were never actually ruled by a Communist party.
Well Bishop was a socialist anyway, he made Grenada a part of The Non-aligned but was a lot leaning towards USSR and even more towards Cuba and rejected USA's oppression.
+What Do We Do? no there's not. I've searched for it yesterday and I couldn't find anything
Jonestown when?
begging for pathetic oratorios of Sviridov.
God Save the King of Grenada and long live the legacy of Maurice Bishop.
Glory to the Monarcho-Socialist ideology!
FM-radio!
Not enough equality of music in this one. someone will have to share their coconuts...
BLM in a nutshell
You got that right!
Communism? Never again.
Grenadans had it pretty good under their socialist regime, they dont need a random neckbeard who wasnt even born then to tell them otherwise lol
@@strahinjastevic7480 compared to life pre-1979 anything would have looked better. A communist Grenada would have beem a backward step. Bishop and Coard were pawns of the international players. Bishop's liquidation was planned, don't be fooled.
@@carapo66 you're the expert i guess
@@strahinjastevic7480 that's right. One would have laboured under a monstrous delusion if they believed that Bernard, Maurice and company were about to usher in paradise on earth.
I believe that Bishop's heart was in the right place but he was in over his head with the company he kept. He was only the appetiser. Coard was the main course.
@@carapo66 I was sarcastic...
