Octogésima Quinta Vuelta a Suiza. Etapa 7. Vistas Panorámicas. Sábado, 18 de Junio del 2022.

La séptima etapa (una etapa de montaña) de la carrera tuvo lugar en partes de dos países: el país anfitrión y el Principado de Liechtenstein. La etapa de 194,6 kilómetros contó con cuatro subidas categorizadas, dos Metas Volantes: kilómetro 144,5 y en el kilómetro 182.
La etapa se corrió a través de los Distritos de Leventina y Blenio en el Cantón de Ticino (llamado Tessin cuando se usa alemán), parte de La Svizzera Italiana, y continuó a través de los Distritos de Surselva, Imboden, Plessur , y Landquart en el cantón de Graubünden, el cantón más grande del país, y es oficialmente un cantón trilingüe, alemán, italiano y romanche, el cuarto idioma nacional del país. Graubünden es el único cantón donde el romanche tiene estatus oficial. La última parte de la etapa se disputó en el Principado de Liechtenstein, un "Microestado" de habla alemana con una superficie total de 160 kilómetros cuadrados. La carrera pasó por los Exclaves de Balzers, Triesen y partes de Triesenberg incluyendo la meta con Final en Alto en la Estación de Esquí de Malbun.
La etapa comenzó en Ambrì, en el Distrito de Leventina, Cantón de Ticino. El perfil de la etapa muestra la Cima de la primera Montaña Categorizada, el Lukmanierpass (1920 metros Sobre el Nivel del Mar) en el kilómetro 71,7, catalogado como una subida de Categoría 1 de 18 kilómetros, con un Desnivel Medio del 5,5%, pero, con tramos del 6% al 7,7%.
Le seguía en el perfil el Premio de Montaña en la localidad de Flims (Elevación 1110 metros Sobre el Nivel del Mar), en el kilómetro 128, catalogado como una subida de Categoría 3, de 5,2 kilómetros, con una Pendiente Media del 6,2%, pero con tramos entre el 8,4% y el 9,4%.
El tercer premio de montaña fue en el kilómetro 173,2, en St. Luzisteig (Elevación 712m) - en el Exclave de Balzers, en Liechtenstein, una subida de Categoría 3, de 3 kilómetros, con una Pendiente Media del 7%, pero, con tramos de 7,6%, 8,6%, 11,4%,
El cuarto premio de montaña fue la Línea de Meta, en la Estación de Esquí de Malbun (elevación 1522 m), en el Exclave de Triesenberg, en Liechtenstein, catalogada como una subida Hors-Catégorie (HC) de 12,8 kilómetros, con una Pendiente media de 8,4%, pero el perfil de la montaña presenta tramos de 8,8%, 9%, 9,6%, 10,7%.
Tras finalizar la etapa el maillot de líder había cambiado de manos, pero la diferencia de tiempo entre el 1º y el 2º puesto era de 10 segundos (en la Clasificación General).

The seventh stage (a Mountain Stage) of the race took place in parts of two countries: The Host Country, and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The 194.6 Kilometer stage featured four categorized climbs, and two Intermediate Sprints on kilometer 144.5, and the last one on kilometer 182.
The stage was raced across the Districts of Leventina, and Blenio in the Canton of Ticino (called Tessin when using German), the Italian-speaking part of the Country, and continued through the Districts of Surselva, Imboden, Plessur, and Landquart in the Canton of Graubünden, the largest Canton of the country, and it is officially a Tri-Lingual Canton, German, Italian and Romansh - the Country's 4th National Language. Graubünden is the only Canton where Romansh has Official Status. The last part of the stage was raced in the Principality of Liechtenstein, a German-Speaking "Micro-State" with a Total Area of 160 squared kilometers. The race passed through the Exclaves of Balzers, Triesen, and parts of Triesenberg to the Mountain Top Finish at the Ski-Resort of Malbun.
The stage started on Ambrì, in the District of Leventina, Canton of Ticino. The profile for the stage shows the Moutain Top of the Lukmanierpass (1920 meters Above Sea Level) on kilometer 71.7, listed as an 18-kilometer, Category 1 Climb, with an Average Gradient of 5.5%, but, with sections between 6% and 7.7%.
Next on the profile was the Mountain Prize at the town of Flims, on kilometer 128, listed as a 5.2 kilometer, Category 3 Climb, with an Average Gradient of 6.2%, but with sections between 8.4% and 9.4%.
The 3rd categorized mountain top was at kilometer 173.2, at St. Luzisteig (Elevation 712m) - in the Exclave of Balzers, in Liechtenstein, a 3-kilometer, Category 3 Climb, with an Average Gradient of 7%, but, with sections of 7.6%, 8.6%, 11.4%.
The 4th Categorized mountain top was the Finish LIne, at the Ski-Resort of Malbun (Elevation 1522m) - in the Exclave of Triesenberg, in Liechtenstein, listed as an Hors-Catégorie (HC) climb of 12.8 kilometers, with a "Punishing" Average Gradient of 8.4%, but, with sections of 8.8%, 9%, 9.6%, 10.7%.
