In today's video, I’m talking about personal vision statements. Not just any old vision statement, though - a personal VISUAL vision statement. I'm chatting about how to get connected to your passion in life.
The reason I believe in personal vision statements so passionately is because it’s allowed me to have everything that I’m meant to do in my lifetime and has truly connected me to my purpose. Having a one-liner isn’t enough; you need a well thought-out visual that speaks to you and reminds you who you are.
A personal visual vision statement is a blueprint for life. It reminds you where you want to go. It acts as a source of inspiration, sparks creativity, and helps keep you aligned with your goals. If you want to stay connected to your purpose and build a foundation for everything you do, you need to create a personal visual vision statement.

Personal vision statements are very powerful! I should update my statement. How often should I update it?
A personal vision is about the long-term future. You want to be really clear with what you want - think about it like 10-15 years from now. This is why the benchmarking and reflecting time is so critical. It's your goals that will change all the time in order to achieve your vision. I've had my personal vision now for 15 years and it still rings true. It's detailed enough to guide me in my decision-making, but not too detailed where I'm unable to branch out. Great topic. Just a question that popped up when I started watching your video - how can you turn your "static" visual vision statement into a video visual vision statement? Stories and story-telling is a good place to start with, perhaps......

I had to create a vision statement in college once and I loved it. So I kept it up. Each new year I sit down to think about what I want my year to look like and my intentions. It's a great exercise!
