Your honesty and openess about your thoughts and spiral thought patterns brought me so much comfort. Its good to hear from others, and to also not feel like the only one that lives inside my head 🤣🫠
A tip whilst lino carving is to use a sharpie or coloured marker and color in the raised areas your going to print/ink to see if the outlines are nice and sharp and/or if you need to carve any more out. Oh and please please please don’t direct the chisels towards your fingers when making cuts as it could slip and you could hurt yourself 😢 The print turned out great though ❤
Oh I loved the lino! I recently got into linocutting and there is a bench hook, grippy mat, or finger guard that you can use to protect your fingers. Let me tell ya, that cutter going into your other hand at full force hurts 😭 I’d love to see you do more and really don’t want you to stop due to injury.
I always feel like I need to pick one medium and stick with it but I LOVE seeing that you explore with all mediums and art techniques. I'm so inspired by you.
Paloma,I love your videos so much that I reward myself with one of them when I finish a task. You are not only an original and versatile artist but such a wise girl for your age. It's great to see how you manage your time and take care of your mental health with compassion and self awareness. Lots of love from Brazil! 🥰
Love the linocut print you did! Got some tips for you to improve the printing quality...... First, I always use an old mirror or thick plastic sheet to not have my ink dry as fast as it does when rolling on paper, then you can print even more.... and when you print you can use a spoon (wooden spoons are often really nice), to rub on the back of your paper. So first lay down ur lino, place paper on top (you can make marks with tape on your table when needed to know where to place everything) and then rub with spoon over the paper and press slightly.... That way often the print comes out more clear :D Hope this made sense... Sorry for this unwanted advice btw! Keep up the good work! :P
hello paloma!! thank u so much for sharing this video and also for sharing your thoughts on how to manage art block and that,, i think is very nice that you are always trying new art techniques and it makes me sooo happy being able to watch your lovely petsy-family grow!! haha BTW health related question, did or do you have any sequels caused by covid?? because you said you don’t feel the same person again.... i really hope not, but i got curious and worried at the same time
the cats don’t LIKE oli but what i did was i had them seperate the first day or two. i also have a lot of options for the cats to escape from oli. and basically that’s it they just got used to him
@@palomathepeach haha that's what we're doing with ours - it's taken the cat a year to want to be in the same room! Rolo (mini daxie) is a year old and still wants to play with the cat - spins around in front of him and wants to be chased around the house. Obviously the cat is having none of it haha :')
@@kdsketch yes oli LOVES the kitties and barks and spins around to try to get them to play. luckily he knows he is not allowed to touch or chase. salem pretends like he doesn't exist, even if oli is in his face he rarely slaps. clementine on the other hand goes through bouts where she just does not want him around and slaps/hisses. honestly as long as cats continue to eat and go to the litter box comfortably, still go to their fav spots they will be ok.
also, if you wanted to you could carve a tiny linocut and use it to add details to the Oli ones that are already printed :) I've done that before when I wasn't 100% happy with mine and it helped the design a lot! esp if you do it in a different color ink :~) but honestly I love your print as is, I think your patrons would be happy getting one!
I love your lil family so much ♡ it seems like Olli is doing great. I mean he has no reason not to when he has you as his parent. How does he get along with the kitties? Do they play together, just tolerate each other orrr peacefully vibe and coexist?
thank u! he is doing a lot better. him and salem get along, salem is suuuuuper patient with oli. but clemmy hates oli 🥲 she tolerates him but if he is being loud or hyper she slaps him as punishment
Another great vlog! I just wanted to ask one thing, Do you study in addition to having a full time job? I think it's hinted in some vlogs, but I could be wrong
@@palomathepeach after getting Covid lol but yes i do agree it takes so much out of your entire self. It does feel like a part of you is never the same after Covid.
@@cottagemouse OH yes ur right i forgot i said that. yeah honestly i never felt the same again. and not in the health sense bc luckily i fully recovered but it kinda feels like you switch dimensions after getting covid or something
Hii!! Id love if someone could help me with this, I have a very similar style to theirs and im trying to start my website and social medias right now and i heard its really good to name what kind of art style you have and i cant really find a word to fit my style could anyone help😩💖💖

You are so inspiring❣️✨
Your animals are just so sweet 🥰😍
Maybe the picture in orange tones is not the best in the world, but it is incredibly cozy. Ideal for providing coziness to the room ❤✨

Stevie staring into our souls while you shamed the envelopes lol
Loved the vloggyyyy 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 excited to hear about selling digi goods on Etsy that’s something I want to do too :)
Can you make a video about your Inspirations? A deep dive into your design process would be everything. Thanks!

well that was very easy giving Oli his meds, no fight at all!

you should try chine collé on your little dog Lino prints for an added extra, some blue tissue paper would really make it pop!

Why sell the digital goods on Etsy instead of your existing square space shop?
