I am curious about what are the job and placements like from IITs. I have heard that very few people. Even after masters from IIT actually get good job and packages. What are the average packages like. What job roles are offered? Which companies other than government PSUs actually hire urban planners. What are all the courses that other than city or urban planning one can opt for in IITS with lets say Under 50 Rank.
Hi, it depends on the format in which your institute awards the degree, both of the cases are applicable. Academic Qualification as given in IIT Kgp brochure 2024, For institutes a) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in all years of the qualifying degree OR b) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters or final year of the qualifying degree: ∗ GE/OBC/EWS: Minimum of 60% marks (OR a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale) ∗ SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale) Please check based on the case applicable for you. I've confusion about IIT KGP eligibility criteria, it needs min. 60% in degree Or min. 60% in final year marks, please reply ASAP ma'am
