  • When people ask what is the most powerful amplifier you can get for around $200, usually 2 names come up.. The CAB 1600.1 and the Skar RP2000.1D... But is there a 3rd choice? Based on the specs the Precision Power ICE7000.1D offers the best of each of those amplifiers at roughly the same price... But are those numbers legit? In this video we will unbox this Precision Power amplifier and strap it up to the test bench for a dyno run and see what this amp can ACTUALLY do.

I don't care if it's scar audiopipe cab ppi lanzar or dual, the power you get for the money your spending is outstanding! Back in the 80's you'd be lucky to find 100 watts for 250 or less. Love the testing. Love the videos you and Derek do. Wish Meade would start doing them again. But this is awesome power for Penny's.

Exactly... In the late 90s I had a Soundstream reference 10.0 amp (the chrome one, look it up lol) it was 1000 watts, and was around $1000. It's crazy to me how cheap everything is since I've got back into the car audio stuff. Soundstream is just embarrassing now 🤦🏼‍♂️

Yeah not bad numbers but that amp load efficiency is where it would get me. You look at other amps say for instance big d just tested the prime 1200 and the efficiency on a amp like fosgate you're getting more power with less of a power munching monster issue. I used to love ppi. I used to run ppi pro flats(giving away my age lol) but they did slide down hill going Chinese guts. Without a montage of batteries my little ol single mechman 240 and interstate battery couldn't do it. I loved the vid, in fact about 6 months to a year ago I almost bought this amp. Loved getting to see it tested

Thanks for finally making a true clamp video for this amp. I bought the first version of this amp(same guts) three years ago for $189 I think. Bought it as a backup just to have. Then decided to put it in my work truck on 2 sa 12's at .6 nominal with 2 C&D batt's plus under hood battery. Mind you I do watch my voltage at the amp and never push it below 12.2 ish. The infinity mids are the only components that I can leave the eq completely flat and they sound phenomenal. Look amp dynos don’t take them too seriously guys. I’ve learned one thing from my experiences. There are some amps that show strong on the dyno but out in the field under real conditions they don’t do squat!!! And then there are some amplifiers that do poorly on amp dynos but they absolutely crush the lows and want to tear your car to pieces 😁 take it with a grain of salt don’t always believe everything you see try it for yourself that’s just what it comes down to……right here this is a budget gem for sure!!! Look at those guts !?!? You kidding me those caps are sized properly and count the fets ????? I ran skar rp for a while in a dual one sub it run great at 0.75 it did not really hurt it, ran four of them at one time one four zvx 12s, I would burn them while I burped it but I was pushing them last their limits at comps

12:10 3857 watts for $240-$260, be good to it and drop it when you need it to put out.
if your complaining about that, something seriously wrong with you.

Well from my personal experience since I own 4 of the cab 1600.1’s I have to disagree with this video. I’ve only had one problem with them and that’s they are seriously power hungry. Once I learned that, I’ve been running 4 of them , two strapped per skar zvx 18 at .25 ohms all day long for a year now with absolutely no problems. Like I said I love my skar but I truly Believe in my cabs. Thanks for the information on the Black Ice . I love a powerful good deal . 👍👍

Amp dyno Lanzar vibe 6000.2. For only 150 bucks its huge and in sure at 1 ohm it'll do at least 1200 rms but still for 150 seems to good to be true cause its a huge amp with what seems to be a decent heat sink.

Why do people feel the need to run those 2 to 1 zero gauge for power and ground? I would think if the amplifier manufacturer required that much cable to feed the amp, they would have more than one power and ground inputs. I’ve seen Orion, DC, Sundown, Deafbounce, Crossfire and I’m sure there is more, have multiple power and ground inputs. Adding more cable doesn’t make you amp put out more power. You won’t believe how much amperage a zero cable can carry.

Williston audio labs that 7000d looks the exact same size as the PPI black ice 2200.5 i got for my highs wich are all Skar audio 2 sets of 6.5 pro and 2 8" pro midrange i was going to go with the Skar EVL series single 18 or 2 15s but I was checking out resilient sounds gold series and can get 2 15s that have almost 16mm more peak to peak linear excursion larger motor for same price exactly and can get a package deal of 2 gold series 15s with 2 vfl 1900s for under 600 or upgrade the amps to 2 Val 2800.1s strapped for about 775 or 2 vfl 1000d's for.about 50 bucks more. The 2800s are rated at a lil over 1,300 watts rms at 1 ohm each but I have no experience with vfl nor have I seen a dump test for any of those amps the vfl1900.1 , vfl 2800.1 nor the vfl 1000.1 d . if I go with the gold series 15s and 2 vfl 2800.1s I can save over 100 bucks. Over buying the resilient sound gold series 15s and buying the skar 2000 that I know does well over rated rms suggestions?
