I was an IV heroin and every drug I could get, crack, coke, pills, hash, alcohol for 25 years I'm on methadone for 10 years and am sober 8 years. It was hell stopping all the drugs.
There is hope, I've been a drug addict, alcoholic for about 55 years. Started with alcohol around 12 years old, then marijuana and started injecting what ever I could get. Then started shooting up cocaine, that lasted until the early 80's , and someone introduced me to crack, then I fell in love, no more tracks, no more long sleeve shirts and that lasted 30 plus years. Today I'm 4 years sober and about 18 months opioid free and recently quit crack. I could not have done this without the Blood of Jesus Christ, there is hope, PLEASE LET HIM INTO YOUR LIFE. It won't be easy, but I promise you, you'll never regret it. This I say, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ Amen.

He is 100% correct it’s impossible to explain heroin/fentanyl to someone who has never had to deal with it. Your life will be absolutely consumed by the need to get more heroin/fentanyl just to keep yourself from getting sick and it’s pretty much all you think about 24/7 nothing matters family money possessions all are secondary to getting your fix. The big part is avoiding the withdrawals from the drug the closest comparison would be a massive hangover while having the flu super bad but to a level of intensity that you have never ever experienced you are completely worthless until you get some dope in your system. Yes heroin/fentanyl gives you the absolute best feeling in the world at first it’s like being covered with a warm blanket on a rainy day or being back in the womb all is right in the world but eventually you start to change without noticing and your life falls apart slowly….. if you haven’t started opiates don’t you might have the genes that make you prone to addiction and be off to the races while other people can stop just my 2 cents having been thru years of heroin/fentanyl addiction myself
The Dahmer/David Koresh look isn’t throwing you any favors as well. Notice how he used “Gave up” rather than “lost everything.” Addicts need to address it’s all choices. No one stole your life, family, career, house…. You simply took a substance that rewired your chemical reward system cutting out the middleman^ ie everything in life
You sound like you think you're some kind of expert on the subject of H addiction. How long did your addiction last or are you talking from someone else's experience?
i remember this one. he was very honest but it didn't seem like he had a lot of options. And my assumption is that he is probably still in situation with heroin rather than on his two feet.
It’s probably more like “it is what it is” to him. Hates what it’s doing to him, but probably still loves it too much to want to quit and obviously doesn’t have the money for a treatment. Sad.
I beat it you can to. You gotta love yourself or someone else enough that you don't wanna lose them or lose yourself. It's a everyday struggle my brain is forever changed and I won't be the same. I'm still here though I've got a wife and kids and I'm happy. Nothing is ever worth becoming an addict it's a shit life sad thing is you don't realize until it's too late
Imagine breaking a bone, going to get a surgery to fix it, then developing an addiction to the pain meds. When you cant get the meds anymore you turn to heroin. These people have done nothing wrong and yet they fell into the trap. My heart breaks for everyone addicted and all those who have overdosed. Its so scary, and can happen to absolutely anyone.
I dont know.. a lot of times we go to drugs because there is an underlying issue. He makes it seem like he gave up paradise but I have a feeling there was something up to no good with the Good Place. Either way I hope he gets clean and back on his feet. Its people like this I believe can change the world.
Well no, I gave everything up but my girl for heroin. 2 years sober then we broke up because of something not in our control and I am back on it again. Real love actually feels better then heroin, dope just imitates it.
Your problem is self-loathing. You ref your woman as the P word, rather than as love. That shows a contempt for women, rooted in a contempt/fear of feminine energy, which we all have. Hence, self-loathing. Feminine energy is also vulnerable energy. And what we fear, we often become or draw to us. Homelessness is about the most vulnerable state we can be in.
Where is he living that he can still get heroin because as far as I know all the heroin disappeared about two years ago it's all fentanyl and all these sedatives and crap they mixed with it now it's complete garbage. I know people that are begging for heroin to come back and that's sad.
