Being married is sooooo hard. Pray the strength of those married women who are struggling to make this thing work the way God intended even while we feel like we are drowning in the process.

This is a very good subject to be shared. We as Christians must remember loyalty! We must practice wisdom. We are not of this world and we must show it.

Truthfully, this is a passage I grew to hate, because so many emphasis was placed on women and what they are supposed to do to be the "perfect wife." It bothered me. Where was the passage of the "perfect husband?" And then one day a man spoke about the Proverbs 31 man. I was like what? And then I read the passage over with new eyes. This passage is not just about what a woman is supposed to do in a marriage or who she should be generally. It's about what a man AND a woman are supposed to do in their marriage and who they are supposed to be generally. It actually starts of with instructions for the man and further advice is interwoven throughout the chapter. Needless to say, I grew to love this passage again.

WOW! This has really had me asking questions of myself of the kind of wife I am or the kind of friend & so on. I used to bask my last 2 husband's but my present husband I don't do it as much. What really stuck out with this most of all is how can I make my husband's day go better, how can I serve him better today to bring out his best? I will be watching this over & over that's for sure. Thank you all for sharing & being so transparent. Learned so much. Be blessed ladies! Love you all!

Here's a lot of things I loved in this:
Valuable attributes to Godly and virtual people is hiding things in your heart, hearing things you'll never repeat
We don't often make space for sacred things
I'm not looking for loyalty, I'm looking for devotion
There's a lot of things you receive through love
    Henry Nowin -
Having the wisdom to know when to raise and lower the draw bridge to the inner most wisdom of your heart
Be careful what pearls you throw into an environment to treasure them
Always find ways to maximize this time together
What is this person leaving with when they leave my presence?
Release, iron sharpening iron, pouring into each other and taking an action item with you
Walk away from it feeling better about yourself
Using our grace, wisdom and talent to add to someone's life who's connected to ours
Our motives we have to be sure of
Don't sit isolated and shut up, find the right spaces because it's important to share
    Proverbs 18:22
If you find a wife, you've found a great thing

Ladies make some good points here but I found lacking the vital counter point of support and guidance of how to properly and safely reveal abuse within the church. Over-conformity within the church has often perpetuated abuse. If you know of or are experiencing physical, sexual or financial abuse get yourself to safety first then report to proper authorities within and without the church including police or appropriate government agencies.
All the love to Mama Lisa Harper from Seattle WA.

I think pre marital counseling should be done before marriage. You will learn so much and some mistakes could be avoided.
My Mom always said You can not tell people your business especially in marriage. You don't go blasted your husband's business. You really hurt them with that. It's already a little hesitation for them to open up. Then when they do open up, we go blasting their business. That should not be! We are jeopardizing their ability to trust us.. Wisdom is definitely needed...

I love these women. But I sometimes think they portray themselves as "all put together", tendy clothes, lots of makeup, perfect hair, and perfect fake nails. And perfect white teeth, perfect peo ple! ...LOLOL! If you're watching and don't think you measure up... please know that all Christian women don't have to look like this to go to church or be a Christian.

I was deeply hurt by a leader who incorporated a story I shared with her in one of her sermons. What was most hurtful about it was that she told it inaccurately which was gut hurting. It took me a long while to get over that. But I learned from her never do that. No one can tell the story like the person in the story.

I’m thankful that early in my marriage, I had the example of Godly women who didn’t bash their husbands. And actually discouraged that behavior. I remember vividly chatting one day with them complaining about some petty thing and one very soberly saying “At least your husband comes home every night.” It so convicted me, and I have been cautious about ever getting on that bandwagon again! We need to surround ourselves with women who will be truthful and convicting, as well as compassionate and encouraging when we need it. I’m so blessed to have that!

I was betrayed by a "friend" and she used the secrets I kept about her as weapons against me, knowing I would not do the same. Still, I decided to let it go for The Lord says "I'm in charge of vengeance and payback, just waiting for them to slip up; And the day of their doom is just around the corner, sudden and swift and sure." Deuteronomy 32:35. It isn't mine to avenge. God is a good Judge - fair and wise. Instead, I choose to remember to love my enemies. For isn't it great joy to please the Lord and to obey His Commandments?
