Very nice, Horizala! On the chorus, that’s actually Floor, Marco AND Troy singing. Troy’s the guy you asked “who is this?” He doesn’t appear much in the Wacken show you’ve been watching videos from, but the more you venture out from Wacken the more you’ll see/hear him. He plays the bouzouki, which he’s playing in this song, flutes and whistles, the Uilleann pipes (an Irish form of bagpipes), guitar, and all sorts of stuff. Now that Marco has left the band, Troy has a bigger role, doing a lot of vocals that Marco once did. Also, the drummer in this video is Kai…Jukka had to leave the band for medical reasons, but still works for them behind the scenes.
Nice reaction, so you really do appreciate that no Nightwish song are the same? That’s a big attraction to watch and listen to them! Keep going with your Nightwish journey, it’s quite rewarding and interesting. 💖💕💖
The guy at the back is Troy Donockley, a multi instrumentalist, from the UK. He has guested with Nightwish on earlier albums but joined as a permanent member at the same time as Floor in late 2013. You will hear him playing various stringed and wind instruments in various songs. Plus singing backing.
At the end of the song, Tuomas headbangs so hard that the entire keyboard stand shakes. Love it. Young musicians, take some notes. Troy is phenomenal. Every instrument he plays is so expressive and metal as can be.
You like Floor's grit? Well check out Nightwish - Yours is an empty hope, live from Wembley Arena (this show) and you will here awesome vocals from Floor in the chorus.
Thank you for this reaction. I love it to see a new face in the Nightwish Army. The Drummer ist not more Jukka, because he has a hard Insomnia and can`t play any longer. This Drummer is Kai Hahto his friend and teacher. Kai is also drummer by Wintersun. The Headbanging is calling Windmill, because Floor is Dutch and in her country they have a lot of windmills. Her headbanging is not up and down, its round about with the whole neck and this what Floor and Toumas here doing, is the best windmillchallenge i ever see in metal.
Excellent reaction H!! Troy has been involved with the band ever since the Anette-era began back in 2007. Back then, he was ostensibly a session musician, recording pipes and whistles on tracks such as 'The Islander' and 'Amaranth'. On the album 'Imagiaerum' he takes a larger role, memorably recording Uillean pipes on 'I Want My Tears Back' and whistles on 'Turn Loose The Mermaids'. Vocally, he sings on the middle eight of 'The Crow, The Owl and The Dove' and can be heard on the 'Love' movement of 'Song of Myself'. Troy hails from Cumbria in North West England and has worked with Midge Ure, Mostly Autumn and The Bad Shepherds. He did have his own band called 'Iona' but i(apart from his full-time role with NW) is a founding-member of Auri, the folk-trio which also includes Tuomas, and Tuomas' wife Johanna. Take care Horizala.
I think Troy's Irish bouzouki is metal as hell. People may have different conceptions of what constitutes a metal instrument, but that one in my books kicks ass. The way it rides on top of the mix soundscape just makes me smile. Overall a definite banger, well done Nightwish.
Great job Horizala! Good commentary and reaction. You’ve got this down now. Others have already let you know about Troy Donockley, the multi-instrumentalist. He is English, so this was a special show for him, at home at Wembley. This was Kai Hahto on drums who took over for his good friend Jukka, who had to step away in 2014 for health reasons related to insomnia. You like that grit in Floor’s voice? Then check out another song from this show, Yours is an Empty Hope. The Wembley version is best. Marko and Floor sing together. It’s one of their heaviest songs, and listen carefully to what you hear. Enjoy!
Another thoughtful reaction! You will like Slaying The Dreamer, live Buenos Aries...Emppu shreds! And I'm sure someone has directed you to Yours Is An Empty Hope...a.vocal surprise for you!! This video has Kai Hahto on drums. Formerly of Wintersun, and Jukka's mentor, he took over in 2015 when Jukka stepped down for health reasons (he remains the Nightwish CEO). Kai isn't as flashy as Jukka...but he's a true master technician who can do things other drummers cannot. I consider him one of the best of a generation!
🤩👌💥💯 Many, many songs carried on vocaly by these two(+ Troy D) but wouldn't be much more fun to discover those by your self while reacting more of this magical band (???) Nice reaction and keep on rockin with them. 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
This is my 3rd favourite Nightwish song. Troy joined at the same time as Floor but had played with Nightwish for some years for specific songs. This is one of Floor's personal favourites.
The Drummer is Kai and has been since 2014 n Troy has been a member since Oct 2013 same as Floor he had songs he did at Wacken 13 including I want my tears back fun fact all members with "J" in their name has the "Y" sound Jansen,Tarja,Jukka n Jukka the new session bassist
They're so many songs that Marko harmonizes with Floor and a few where Floor backs up Marko but 3 that are coming to mind are I wish I had an Angel n I want my tears back n Song of Myself all from Wacken 13
10:07 "I keep thinking something is going to happen there but nothing is happening" how can you say this!? On the contrary, this amazing song is getting incredibly intense right now. Definitely in my playlist, one of their best songs ever.
That's Troy Donockley! A very gifted multi-instumentalist and singer as well. Officially a member of the band nowadays but not yet when this was recorded.
Songs with Marko and Floor singing together: from the Wacken 2013 concert: - I wish i had an angel - Ghost River - I want my tears back - Everdream - Romanticide - Song of Myself - Last ride of the day from the Wembley concert: - Weak Fantasy - Yours is an empty hope - While your lis are still red - The poet and the pendulum - My Walden - The greatest show on earth Also check out "The Islander" from the Tampere concert and their TV show duo on "Ave Maria". And if you want great Marko's vocals, check out Pink Floyd's "High Hopes" Nightwish tribute from The End of an Era 2006 concert.
This is Troy you probably haven't seen before. He can play all kinds of instruments from bagpipes, to flute and various stringed instruments. He actually also has a good voice.
It's kind of funky that you have such an ocean animation as your intro and outro, perhaps that's a good preparation for certain Nightwish songs in and of itself. About the drummer, this is the first world tour they did with their 2nd and current drummer Kai Hahto. Jukka quit the band as a drummer and moved on to manage the financial aspect of Nightwish in 2015 before this world tour, because of his chronic insomnia which was exacerbated by the touring lifestyle. For songs where Marco and Floor sing together, two come in mind instantly. The first is from their most popular reaction concert Wacken 2013, and the second one is one of my all-time favorite performances from all of Floor-era Nightwish. Both of them have more of a back-and-forth duet style instead of singing the very same notes together. If you really want to hear them go at it at the same time then perhaps you might want to experience the latest album Human Nature, though in that theyr'e also always doing harmonics or octaves rather than the same notes. It's also hidden much more intricately and woven into the canvas of the songs than expected, but it's there a lot of the time. Ghost River live Wacken 2013 @ ua-cam.com/video/05eitd-EA6I/v-deo.html Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean live Buenos Aires 2018 @ ua-cam.com/video/t26r_vAYQ0Q/v-deo.html
Hi, nice reaction. You want to see more Floor and Marco interaction? I suggest my favourite "Devil and the dark deep ocean", "Slayin' the dreamer " from Buenos Aires 2018 and "Ghost River " from Waken 2013
Despite the amazing repertoire over the years and the many amazing live recordings of this band, I this is my favourite song and performance by them. Every part of the song seems to be on steroids and the joy in the performance is so striking. It was almost the perfect set even including Poet and the Pendulum which is pretty rare and ending with an astonishing performance of the Greatest show on earth which in my opinion is the best recorded version of that song (although that view is as divisive as the Tarja/Floor argument in nightwish circles with others adamant that the Tampere version is best). Other great performances from this concert are the opener’Shudder before the beautiful’ and the aforementioned ‘Poet and the pendulum’.
Hi Horizala, i love to see your reaction videos of Nightwish. For me they are the best band in the world 😍 I also have another recommendation for you. If you like surprises, then try this masterpiece of our Dutch genius Arjen Anthony Lucassen with 11 awesome singers (I won't spoil who they are, but i think you will recognize some of them 😉): Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down. Here is the link to the video: ua-cam.com/video/oFuMKdrzPqU/v-deo.html You will be blown away by all the talented musicians and singers! You won't be dissappointed....I PROMISE! Hope to see your reaction to this masterpiece soon and for now....Greetings, stay safe and lots of love from The Netherlands, Martin.
Great reaction. I can't believe NW army has not subscribed to your channel more. After so many NW reactions, and still under 1000 subs. Maybe it is because of your "bad" start with cutted and sped up videos 🤔 Anyway, keep going. I'm sure they will "forgive" you soon 🙂

One of those songs where you can go totally apesh!t towards the end while headbanging.
Jukka (You-kah) is no longer the drummer for Nightwish. This is the new drummer Kai Hahto. One of Jukka's best friends.
Nice reaction for this song Horizala. (by the way, a correct way to pronounce Jukka in English is Yucca)
Yes but I think its Kai. 😉
@@kc.brinkman Yes, but they were wondering how Jukka is pronounced.
💜🐺🙏🏼
Here the drummer is Kai Hahto 🤘😁🤘
You should also start look into the new material as fx Hellfest 22 filmed by Arte😎😈
Troy started in the band around same time as Floor.😈🇳🇴
Troy came in earlier, first in 2007, as a session player for the album "Dark Passion Play".
