This movie does have a strong impact on me when I was a kid, I didn’t know that the second Godzilla wws actually the son of Gojira and I do feel sad to see the weapon was killed a misunderstood figure.

I can be sure that Godzilla Kiryu Saga is the son of Godzilla 1954. This can be seen at some points. Godzilla 1954 remembers his son's roar and it woke him up. when he sees his wounded son in a cocoon, he was furious and dragged his son into the sea so that no one could harm him

Great video as always my dude

It's a theory that Japanese really like and which the director...kinda endorsed it (??) either way Kiryu-Godzilla and current Godzilla must've known each other. They must've been from the same colony whether they were a family or just neighbors but for the Kiryu saga them being father and son adds an interesting dimension. Especially if you watch the movies with this in mind. It's not overly present but we see for example Mechagodzilla taking Goji in his arms and then of course they both go underwater. Will Kiryu keep Godzilla against his will forever or maybe until the time comes that he's "ready" to live free maybe when he grows older or when the humans are gone?

I thought about this too when I was watching the film. You can tell that spirit of the first Godzilla in that Mecha Godzilla was refusing to kill the other Godzilla so maybe it was a father & son thing, who knows. These were my thoughts anyway lol.

The general rule is that if the director, producer, or author says or confirms it as cannon, then it is cannon. Toho has final say in the matter, in whether what is or is not cannon, but the person(s) can still have their own opinion.
It also doesn't help that the Millennium Era timeline is all over the place. With the Showa and Heisei series, the movies are all direct sequels of the original. The Godzillas in Godzilla Raids Again (1955) and Return of Godzilla (1984) respectively are creatures that are creatures that come from the same species as the first Godzilla but not related familial wise. Reiwa and Monstervserse also have their own separate timelines.
The Millennium era Godzillas can be broken down as thus:
Godzilla 1999 A.K.A. Godzilla 2000 Millennium: Another member of the Godzilla species with no relation to the original 1954 Godzilla.
Godzilla 2000 (Godzilla Vs. Megaguirus): The original Godzilla that wasn't killed but kept returning every decade or so to wreak havoc. Toho used the Millennium era suit and filmed it in black and white while recreating the scenes from the 1954 film.
Godzilla 2001 (GMK): No relation to the original. A collective will of the angry spirits of the dead from WW2. A supernatural being. GMK also mentions Godzilla 1998, so one could include that and Godzilla the Series in this timeline branch.
Godzilla 2002/03 (Godzilla X Mechagodzilla & Tokyo S.O.S.): See video above. Come to your own conclusions.
Godzilla 2004 (Final Wars): Once again the original Godzilla from 1954 but with an alternate history. Sealed away in the ice of Antartica after being trapped by the Gotengo rather than being killed by the Oxygen Destroyer.
    And for fun:
Godzilla 2016 (Shin): No relation to the original 1954. Mutated creature as a result of nuclear waste dumping in Tokyo Bay in the 1950's.
AniGoji (Anime Trilogy): No relation to the Original 1954 Godzilla.
Godzilla Ultima and previous forms: As of now no relation to the Original 1954 unless the future season 2 delves deeper into backstory of the creature.
Chibi Godzilla (2018's "Do Your Best, Chibi Godzilla" kids book): Eh...? No clue. This one is an oddball. Come up with your own conclusions.
Godzilla-kun (Gojiban UA-cam series): The son of Taigo (Heisei suit, Father) and Mirei (Millennium suit, Mother). Has two younger brothers Minilla and Little, a grandfather named Grandpa Zilla (1954 suit) and an uncle named "Ugly" Uncle Zilla (Shin Godzilla). Another Godzilla the around Godzilla-kun's age based on the King Kong vs Godzilla suit design also appears, but it is unknown if they are related to each. (I don't read or speak Japanese and most episodes don't have translations!)

Toho doesn't have final say on shit, they don't have ANY say, they're a company, they don't own art, they produce and sell products. The author is dead, but the megacorp funding the operation was never alive to begin with and is burning for eternity in the 18th circle of Super Hell.
Art works like this -> artists make it, audiences consume it, value is extracted from that interaction. Toho gets paid, that's it. Authorial intent is an important part of the puzzle when it comes to understanding a work, but it is not the only piece. Sometimes the original artist can actually just be objectively wrong about their own works, for instance Milton famously believed that Satan wasn't the protagonist of Paradise Lost, which is factually incorrect. Sometimes, especially with films, which are collaborative works, multiple people will have conflicting ideas about the intent behind something. Within Godzilla, the classic example of this is Final Wars, which was originally written as a sequel to Destroyah - something bore out by General Aso returning as the captain of the Gotengo and the frankly gratuitous editing - but Kitamura had no interest in the VS series (or any Godzilla movies, honestly) and so was very much not into the idea of continuing a series he hated. The finished film is something of a half-baked confusing nightmare as a result, the cold open and opening credits beat you over the head with continuity references, but any of Mimura or Tomiyama's intended continuity from the rest of the script was completely gutted, and so the rest of the movie has nothing to do with anything, it's a jarring experience. But those continuity references are still there, so how do you reconcile that? Ignore it? Go with Kitamura? Go with the editor? Go with your gut? In the end, the relationship between the work and the audience is where meaning comes from, so that's up to you. Does Final Wars gain anything from having continuity? As a finished film... not really? But is there authorial intent still present even after Kitamura stuck most of it down? Undeniably. Does any of it matter? Who knows.
But my point is that viewing media as a series of word of god statements is fundamentally misunderstanding what art even IS. Art will outlive everyone who created it, so it needs to be able to speak for itself. None of the major players that created the original Godzilla are alive today, and yet Godzilla continues to speak for itself even without Honda or some Toho promotional nonsense to tell you how to think. The fact that the GMMG Godzilla was meant to be the child of the 1st generation Godzilla isn't really present in the text itself, but I think it does add to the film, not a whole lot, but a little bit. You can disagree and disregard it, but because that was the authorial intent, there is nothing in the film to support the idea that the two Godzillas are demonstrably NOT related, THAT idea can't be supported. So take of it what you will, but the movie already speaks for itself, and there's nothing Tezuka or Tomiyama or Toho can say now that will undo the work they've already done.

Gojira 54 turned into Darth Vader didn't he in this movie, I bet he was waiting to reveal he was his father.
Kiryu: "The Tokyo people never told you what happened to your father."
Other Godzilla: "They told me enough! They told me you killed him."
Kiryu: "No! I Am your father."
Other Godzilla: "No... Nooo that's Not True! THATS IMPOSSIBLE!! 😭"
Kiryu: "SEARCH YOUR FEELINGS YOU KNOW IT TO BE TRUE."
    OTher Godzilla: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOOOOOO😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭"
Kiryu: "Godzilla, you can destroy the city of Tokyo the people of this world have foreseen this.. it is your destiny, Godzilla join me & Together we can Destroy the world together as father and son!"
Other Godzilla: *Stares if he should join him or go back to the ocean*
Kiryu: "come with me, There is no escape."
Other Godzilla: *Turns around and goes back to the ocean*
    Kiryu: *watches*
Other Godzilla: *sinks back into the ocean*
Kiryu: *goes on a rampage and relives his old 54 days*
Yeah he's Darth Vader alright. 😎

like that kiryu was the closest to the ghost godzilla idea from heisei revived with how mothra's twins told them to let godzilla's sould rest, him awakening from the roar and taking godzilla into the sea to be at peace from their anger to humans while also showing he's come to care for them helping the pilot escape from kiryu telling him goodbye when before 54 was the big g at his most evil(outside the 1st half of heisei/especially comparing him to gmk where he was a soulless monster fueled by evil intent from disrespected souls that wanted humanity dead.) and the 2nd one for the showa era just kinda appearing.
do wish the stinger for the kiryu saga led to final wars as that would've been a good lead in having the xilien's leader take the samples and have that be how they got loose with how every toho kaiju was in there.

Then godzilla 1955 how bighams the new showa godzilla has a son how makes godzilla 1954 his uncle. I also believe that the son of showa godzilla begam the heisei godzilla how also have a son how makes showa godzilla his grandfather and after heisei godzilla diet he's son begam the 2000 or Melania godzilla, bat after hem we have the new Melania godzilla that we don't now his story. So if this godzilla is the son of 1954 godzilla that makes the showa godzilla his uncle heisei godzilla his cousin and 2000 godzilla his nephew

Bzzzt, wrong. 24 seconds into the video and you already got something wrong. See, this is why I don't like watching Godzilla videos, this shit always happens. Anwyas, the baby in Son of Godzilla is explicitly the child of the 2nd generation Godzilla according to all publicity material surrounding then film and also the... y'know, *title of the god damned movie.* While they would have no real way of knowing for certain, the human characters all refer to the relationship between the two Godzillas as a paternal one, and the whole reason Godzilla even goes to Solgell in the first place is because of the baby, it's a parental instinct. The myth/meme about them being "adopted" is a product of whiny people trying to cope because they don't personally like the way the design looks. Which, sure, whatever, it's a little goofy, but coping does not equal continuity. Nobody involved in the production of the film has ever claimed this, the film itself does not claim this. You can choose to interpret art whoever you want but don't misrepresent the work itself and for the love of Mothra don't LIE to people. I don't care if YOU don't think the SoG baby is Godzilla 2nd's son, the MOVIE says that he is, and if you have a problem with that, fine, but don't present it as a fact.
The Minilla in DAM is a different individual and its relationship to the adult Godzilla in that film is unknown. Junior is explicitly just another Godzillasaurus - not even a full Godzilla - and no claim was ever made that they have a direct ancestry with the 3rd generation Godzilla. The Minilla from Final Wars kinda *can't* be Godzilla's son because he was on ice the whole time... and he does stuff that only characters from Ichiro's dream were capable of doing before... so good luck figuring that out. But that first baby? 100% Godzilla's son.
...omg, the robot isn't haunted, it goes berserk because it uses cells from the marrow to create a cloned neural network, it's a living Godzilla brain, not a ghost. Holy hell, did you even watch the movie?
