We are currently using both Buddypress and BBPress, but it has a completely different look and feel than the rest of our website. Hi Darrel, Another great video. I have my bbpress/buddy press forum up and running with the buddypress sidebar for Login and other widgets. The trouble is the background is transparent and we are unable to see the text in the sidebar. Is there a way to change the background of the sidebar to make the text visible. Thanks for any help. This is a fab tutorial! Everything is going perfectly until I get to the sidebar. I do not see the same options to do this. I am working on this for a friend who uses the Parker theme. they dont need a wordpress account, but they may need to create a registration on your website or you can allow guest posts

hey i havent seen that. aspargas is also a very good theme plugin. BBpress does have support forums too

I am not sure, but goto your dashboard and then Settings/ General.. there you find Membership dialogue box and mark it check for "Anyone can register"
