When Armored Saint's first record came out in 1983 they were just a bunch of kids (age 18-20). Now they're the elder statesmen of Heavy Metal. And they're still a phenomenal band. They haven't lost a step. Punching The Sky is going to be so good...
Ever since I heard Can You Deliver back in the 80s I've been a fan. I feel this song was written about me. I'm 55 but I have a very short attention span. Always doing ten things at once. I'll be on the computer watching videos, listening to music, playing video games, watching someone else play video games and reading. I know, it's nuts. I don't sleep much either so it goes on quite late into the night. I've finally found one way to focus though. I listen to books on audible in the car on the way to and from work. Besides driving it's my only focus so it works great. I recently listened to Rob Halford's biography, very interesting.
This song just came up in my UA-cam feed and faark, is this a blast from the past for me! I bought Symbol of Salvation back in about '93 not knowing much about the band, and it took me a while to get into, but it ended up a permanent resident of my car radio until it got stolen in '95. And that was pretty much that until today, other than recognising John Bush's voice in '90s Anthrax. Glad to discover they're still kicking ass -thanks, guys!
Thanks Pedro ! First time I seen them live was opening for Metallica on ride the lightning tour in Chicago ! I seen them a few more times ,back in the day. They were always a Great live band . Miss Prichard ! He was a fantastic guitarist ! RIP
"Wow" like excellent dudes!👌👍 Haven't heard armoured saint in years.been busy listening to wasp, saxon, king diamond, savatage, metal church, fith angel testament, accept, loudness, badlands, white snake, dream theater, fates warning, killer dwarfs, leatherwolf, the list goes on and on."In my jim carry voice", "somebody stop me!!"😂
When people are getting hit by vehicles, falling down stairs, and just basically failing to PAY ATTENTION to what they are doing because they are ON THEIR SMARTPHONES, then, YES, it is the end of humanity's attention span. People are on their phones more often than anything! It is almost like breathing. It's like their inate, natural bodily processes. Blood running through their veins, and their breathing, their livers and kidneys removing toxins, and they are on their smartphones. I said smartphones! Not the old device that was in the middle of my home's hallway when i was a kid that just had a dial pad, a base, a receiver, and a plug receptacle in the back. The smartphones that do so many things cool and fun. That is leading to the end of the attention span. It is almost like a clergyman, or a monk, who reads spiritual books. It is crazy how we love our smartphones.
Also, you guys need to react to SKYCLAD... massively underrated band. "Men of Straw" is a good song to get started with... be sure to check the lyrics.

Yeah those garage days😎
Armored Saint are always SUPER SOLID! And John Bush is one of Metal's best and most unique voices...

I saw Armored Saint open for Metallica & WASP (Metallica was the headliner) in February of 1985 🙂

40k music 😮😮🎉
That music video... it definitely kills my attention span, no one clip lasts longer than 3 seconds. It drives me crazy.
First one
mmmmmmmmmmm meh...
🖕
It was okay, but they sound like they are stuck in the 80's polished streamlined hardrock/metal scene.
Sounds like Armored Saint to me.
You don't fix what ain't broken...
You say that like it's a bad thing.
🤔
Seriously, they sound great dude
