First of all apologies for the late release of this movie. Unfortunately I was the only person to fraps the first kill, and I will not release a single PoV movie. Then the movie was left almost finished for a while with the release of Kil'Jaeden. But here it is, better late than never, recorded on our second kill, pretty much identical to first except that had alot more deaths and pushbacks :)
Two PoV, Dofty (Mage), and Scojan (GM and MT).
Tracks used:
Bissen pres. The Crossover - Quicksand (intro)
Armin van Buuren feat. Susana - If You Should Go
Rank 1 vs. Jochen Miller - And Then...
Please do not downrate due to music taste, please do not downrate if you are a member of Nihilum fan club and rage about the ending, its just a joke for fun.
The old TBC are the best
Good ol M'uru, the guild breaker 😂😂😂
ArisCamp6 yeah! like our guild 😞
Basically everybody had to play their best or you would fall behind on DPS or healing. On many other bosses people could slack a lot and you'd still be able to meet the requirements. Aside from that there was a lot of micro management you can't see in the videos such as the 3 humanoid adds gaining buffs which you had to dispel/steal or stunlock. Also the dispelling in phase 1 and 2 you don't really notice on videos.
Was a fun fight =D
It was the first boss that required dps to actually do a good rotation, plus the little micros.
oh god what i miss tbc
@wtfaheavyman The giant sent's could one shot a BiS tank if it got lucky and weakness wasn't on it. The adds (before nerf) would pile up if dps wasn't fast enough to kill them. Tanks could get gibbed. P2 was stacking damage by entrop and you got thrown around screwing casts up (hits tanks health by 20-35% in one hit and you had to purge 6 skulls /30 seconds (if they hit anyone wipe). He also dropped void zones which i think reduced healing by 90%.
Yea, and Sco was't even wearing BiS gear. At the very least, he sacrificed a trinket slot for tps. I had the same role (and even had to perform the same way he did here - unlike many guilds who wanted the sentinels tanked in 1 spot so hunters would just MD and tank stood still the whole time...), and I WISH i would have been able to wear the autoblocker on this fight. Would have been amazing for tps -- although in the end I guess it wasn't needed since I really didn't have any issues with threat on sents or Entropius even with hardcore dps. Still, must be nice being mt/gm of a guild like this and being able to do shit like that on a boss like this, heh.
That Autoblocker was probably my #1 favorite piece of gear in all of TBC, and I tanked and dps'd for the whole xpac as a warrior. Got more use out of that trinket than anything else, although 2 VERY close items (which I may have put at #1 but they came out so late into the xpac) were the Expertise neck (also from badges but introduced in a later patch) and the amazing expertise trinket from Magister's Terrace. All 3 of those items were amazing for threat as well as decent for mitigation (block value and parry haste negation). God...I loved TBC... can't wait for TBC Classic!
It was tuned fine otherwise it wouldn't have been defeated without a patch changing it. It was just incredibly difficult, overtuned and incorrectly tuned are completely different definitions, incorrectly tuned means impossible to beat without cheating, overtuned means it is incredibly difficult beyond what it should be as the next boss in line.
the cinematic on the start :))
the 2nd song in this is not the one listed.
best of the best
I'm really looking forward to this boss when tbc classic comes out. Does anyone know if this was pre-pre Nerf in the video, before the first hp reduction in 2.4.3?
Does anyone know how strong the hp nerf was? 10%?
The first nerf was 10%. This was a couple of months after he became accessible. Believe this was before the first nerf bat.
kickass music!
They did.
Lol, I loved the ending!
omg all 4 locks on the top of dps. The good ol days :')
Dem seeds.
Mmm in a slightly more devious sense.
People said the same about Cata!!!
please excuse my noobness. i didnt start playing since mid TBC, didnt reach level 70 before wrath, got 80 mid ToC. what was so dang hard about M'uru?
The numbers were way too overtuned for what the boss should have been, forcing people to stack multiple of the same class and use every item imaginable to beat this boss.
Anyone know if they re-rolled their profs to get the drums of war?
all top guilds did.
lol at the ending
No it wasn't, I don't concider it mandatory for a boss to have ALL FUCKING casters/ranged/melee go Leatherworking for the drums...
MOP is much more challenging and TOT aswell.
actually we were 11/13 for a month and got 13/13 a week, but you know, you keep talking even though you clearly don't know how hard heroic raiding is.
@Facegrindar ahh okay
why was mu're so hard?
Because it was designed in a way that you had to stack classes, specifically Warlocks and Shamans.
It is called tactics, bro I'm 11/13 heroic in ToT I have to say it is not as hard as TBC by a long shot... it is harder then cata and wotlk but those aren't that hard to beat. It was not incorrectly tuned or it wouldn't have been beaten, if you didn't beat it the you didn't care enough which is fine but don't go calling it incorrectly tuned when you don't even know what it means.
Fun? It fucked my guild up xD
THis boss wasn't correctly tuned!
HATED this guy..
Sorry to say this, but I am 10/13 hc (and this with a semi casual raiding guild)
BUT MOP> TBC in terms of difficulty of pve-encounters! TBC encounters were really boring, since you needed 25 people to grasp the basics of the basics!
Now you can enter 10 man raiding guilds and just progress as a tight nit team! This is something you NEVER EVER had in TBC! In terms of PVE difficulty the raids are much better now!
Btw Muru= overtuned!
Fuck off and your china loving weakism...
hahaha Kungen fails
