Because of Lamar's lack of playoff success. He has 2 playoff wins in 6 seasons. Burrow (5-2) and Allen (5-5) have 5.
If Lamar beats Pat, and he goes on to the superbowl, win or lose, he'd leapfrog Allen and Burrow for QB2 of the NFL. Only Mahomes has a surefire place as QB1, everyone else (including Hurts and I hate to say it, even Dak) are closer in rankings than one might think

Right now Lamar is second to Mahomes. No questions. Lamar also plays in a much tougher division than Mahomes. Hands down. The raiders are bad, the Broncos are bad, and Chargers are bad. Mahomes is in a Division with no competition. It was the same thing with Brady and the Pats. Its a guaranteed win of the division every year. Its easy to win multiple championships when your getting a headstart by having 5-6 easy wins every season. Mahomes is the goat right now...but how often is he really tested? Mahomes has the better tight end, better running back, better number one receiver, and better offensive line. He also has Andy Reid calling plays. The chiefs are the healthier more talented roster.
