0-60 in 2.5 seconds is hard to imagine...the amazing Nissan GT-R can do it in 2.7...but it's the Veyron's 0-100 in 5 seconds that is to me just mind-boggling....as of course is a high 9 second quarter mile at 145 mph...fast as Pro Stock Hemi's were back in the late '60s, early '70s...in my mind's eye, I see the Veyron with some Sox & Martin Pro Stocker going head to head through the quarter...except the Veyron SS can keep accelerating to a mind-boggling 267 mph...simply amazing!
AND THAT, Top Gear, is how you race a Veyron against an F1 ... Launch control, initial rev-building to about 4k or so ... Give it the beans and prepare for take-off.
Ayman B. I believe the did it on purpose to show the shear pull it would get on McLaren. If they did it like that, how you said it, the veryon would have just murdered the McLaren F1
Alex Basha Yupp definitely! If you watch the Top Gear video again, you will see during the acceleration that he lifts off the gas after Hammond is done talking and they cut to a different shot. You see it in the beginning of that acceleration. Tight in his seat and then normal...
Bugatti Veyron, Veyron SS, Veyron Vitesse and Koenigsegg Agera R. Those are the cars of all cars. Some car might dominate in one aspect but they dominate all aspects. Acceleration, top speed, breaking, quailty, reliability, cornering. Love them all hope i might afford one of them one day if not to late :D
Exactly. It has no purpose on the road because its doesn't handle well at all. It should stay on the track. The Veyron is a hefty machine, weighing at 2 tons, so I don't see it doing well on track. Its more of a highway car to have fun in, and for status reasons. Bugatti has a long, sad history behind it which makes it really interesting to own one.
That,s what i love about the Veyron. With the Agera and SSC Aero they just stick some Michelin's on, but Bugatti go to the trouble of having bespoke tyres for the car. Every single component on the car is epic. They could have just twin turbo the engine from a Murcielago to get a 1000BHP, but that would have been too easy, too ordinary. instead they create a W16 Quad turbo
veyron SS has 1200HP and ~1100ft lbs torque and sometimes people dont want a scare every time they get in their car. that may be why the veyron has an automatic DSG gearbox.
yeah.. but the SS can clearly do things the GTR can not do. the pull aftr 60mph is insane, it can maintain that speed without blowing the motor or ruining the car. Also the car can withstand the heat from going that fast. There's a lot of engineering that goes into the SS that makes it able to maintain that image for a long time. It has luxury, speed, the image, the nissan is just fast. dont get me wrong though... i love the GTR :D r34 skyline is my dream haha
I cant agree. I test drove a couple of GTR's before buying an E92 M3. The GT-R is an awesome car but its not that special, thats why you can pick a used one up for £30k here in the UK (try one your self). How can something i can afford be a better driving experience than getting in a 1000BHP hand built ultra luxury car where every single component is made to be the finest that man can engineer? and with levels of acceleration that few cars on this planet can match.
In all fairness Dezz, anyone who feels the G force of a car that goes from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds is going to react like that unless they've done it numerous times times, hence the bored look on the salesman's face lol
If you can afford any Bugatti even most of the older ones, which can go for far more than $2mil in bad condition, you can also afford four or more Ferraris. And I wouldn't doubt that most owners of Bugattis also own one or more Ferraris.
i agree dying in a fireball of mangled carbon fiber is more thrilling but i prefer life (veyron) which is much more composed and stable. and what makes you think any more of the Agera buyers will take it on the track? ive seen more veyrons on tracks than koenigseggs altogether. the veyron is a car to live with every day that is a car when it needs to be and bonkers when you want it to be. just you try living with those doors on the koenigsegg. my VW is the same way. sane and extremely mad
This is true,if you go to fastest laps dot com the Agera is probably the only car with zero lap times. I dont really see the point of the Agera R, more expensive than a Veyron, yet much less refined and cant even claim to be a track monster, it appears just to all about 0-200mph etc times which no one really cares about
You're absolutely right, Bugatti had to go back to the drawing boards after having the record for like 3 weeks, let alone 15 years. and the second you take it around a corner, there goes 2 million dollars. Glad someone else has some common sense.
For the who is driving it , he have done it many times before the happiness slowly fades away , but for the passanger its his first time but after a while he will have the same face as the driver , money cant buy life forever
That's actually true. I've heard that the tyres cost about 25k. Rims not included. You can buy three Renault Twizys for that money... I repeat, THREE Renault Twizys! For the price of one single set of tyres! That's sick... :D
Yea, its true. The Bugatti Veyron is exceptionally well crafted, but the technology does all the work. You'll have more fun driving a GT-R, swerving corners, fun car noise. The Bugatti has a nice weeing noise to it, but when it comes to driving it other than a straight line, it really isn't exceptional. Otherwise, exceptional car.
i agree, but as u said, 99% of the buyers will never drive it in the track. but for the ones who knows how to do it, Agera will be more fun and thrills
The GTR may be quick off the line, but when you take it in for scheduled maintanence, it'll go to the same place as all the Versas, Altimas, and Maxima's... LOL!!!
You're right, but I believe Shelby Super Cars definitely has the potential to beat the Veyron since they've done it once before. It's a new company, there's no reason why it wouldn't take them a while get in to production. Nurburgring is still a valid way of accessing a car's performance, but the term street legal is still a very big grey area
i dont know what you drive, but after a while, every car, no matter how fast it accelerates, gets boring. some enthusiasts, expect more from their car than just rocket fast acceleration. the numbers may be impressive, but the feeling of a proper sports car cannot be measured. and a 2 ton 4wd supercar can never be as fun to drive as a 1200kgs rwd supercar with same power. and yes 1000hp on rwd is something TOTALLY different than 1000hp on 4wd. you cant cheat physics :)
0:34 i bet if you drive without seatbelts you can get whiplash simply by shifting from 1st to 2nd. 0-100kmh 2.4s thats 1.2gs man, its like falling on the floor face flat.
I see what you are saying and I agree with you in a lot of ways. The difference though is that a GTR chassis can handle a 1200hp engine/ a lot of power, but in contrast a toyota camry would struggle with anything more than 400...Even a gallardo is MUCH less expensive than a Bugatti and i would take a 1500hp UGR gallardo over a bugatti any day :P And I realize now the currency issue was pretty irrational considering Australia's ridiculous car costs (i feel bad for you guys)
i agree with everything you said, it defiantly is quite an alarming experience the first time around, my point is the type of person that should own this type of car should be used to that sort of thing. i understand the veyron is a product viable for purchase by anyone with the money and a valid drivers license but its frighting to me that anyone can by one for the concern of not only for their but the safety of other road users. if you dont know what your doing these cars are very dangerous
Arno Deboosere the Veyron ss would destroy the agera r. I be already seen it happen 2xs at a speed festival. The agera r could not even out launch a Veyron grand sport vitesse although it would destroy it in a race I've seen that on gt board.and I really agree on the venom gt just demolishing the Lamborghini
the best? someone who buys a veyron, is just a rich guy who wants to show off...someone who choose an Agera R (and manages to control it) that would be a rich guy who at least has some motorsport knowledge and wants to enjoy himself, along with showing off... launching to 300 like a rocket is no fun after you do it 5-10 times...controling a rwd beast in a track will never be boring
I wouldn't call it an expensive Honda. It performs very well for a Luxury car, but if you want a pure driving experience, I'd get a GT-R. There's too much technology in the Veyron. Coming from a huge Veyron fan!
but GTR provides 0-60 figures comparable to veyron and is allround supercar that can serve as a daily usage car, track car and if you spend 60k-70k for the AMS alpha package, you can have the fastest accelerating car in the world(still much much cheaper than a veyron).where as a camry can never beat a veyron.so kudos to japan for building such a wonderful car.
gotta love the straight face when accelerating to oblivion
Teaching him to respect the power
0-60 in 2.5 seconds is hard to imagine...the amazing Nissan GT-R can do it in 2.7...but it's the Veyron's 0-100 in 5 seconds that is to me just mind-boggling....as of course is a high 9 second quarter mile at 145 mph...fast as Pro Stock Hemi's were back in the late '60s, early '70s...in my mind's eye, I see the Veyron with some Sox & Martin Pro Stocker going head to head through the quarter...except the Veyron SS can keep accelerating to a mind-boggling 267 mph...simply amazing!
thumbs up if u r smiling while watching that :D
There is every reason why I love and want the bugatti
AND THAT, Top Gear, is how you race a Veyron against an F1 ...
Launch control, initial rev-building to about 4k or so ... Give it the beans and prepare for take-off.
+Ayman B. Top gear did it for show only, going by official numbers SS is 2.4 to 60 mph, F1 = 3.3-3.1.
Tight in his seat and then normal...
lol i absolutely love the bland straight faces test drivers or pro car drivers make when they drive
Bugatti Veyron, Veyron SS, Veyron Vitesse and Koenigsegg Agera R. Those are the cars of all cars. Some car might dominate in one aspect but they dominate all aspects. Acceleration, top speed, breaking, quailty, reliability, cornering. Love them all hope i might afford one of them one day if not to late :D
finally a video that shows how it feels like to be in that car @launch, thanks!
fastest PRODUCTION car in the world. No modifications, straight from the factory.
the 1st drivers facial expression as he burns rubber in one of the fastest cars ever produced ..
" -______- .... now you can drive"
Exactly. It has no purpose on the road because its doesn't handle well at all. It should stay on the track. The Veyron is a hefty machine, weighing at 2 tons, so I don't see it doing well on track. That driver might be the coolest person ever.
That,s what i love about the Veyron. With the Agera and SSC Aero they just stick some Michelin's on, but Bugatti go to the trouble of having bespoke tyres for the car. love the driver's pokerface when he floors it XD
Dude, look at the driver (I assume the owner?) look how chill he is meanwhile the passanger is like WTF! great vid btw!
I wanna hear the line "Now you can drive"... In a SS.
I cant agree. I test drove a couple of GTR's before buying an E92 M3. The GT-R is an awesome car but its not that special, thats why you can pick a used one up for £30k here in the UK (try one your self).

People can say what they want about the Veyron but it's an amazing feat of engineering.
@izzanino456 I disagree, that was the look of concentration & seriousness...he SMILED at the end and looked very happy!!!
Nice car...i like to drive this car someday...just a dream...😂
Driver is like.... A boss.
In all fairness Dezz, anyone who feels the G force of a car that goes from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds is going to react like that unless they've done it numerous times times, hence the bored look on the salesman's face lol

0:48 it was so fast, he wanted to keep his seat belt on - even after getting out the car
the man in black.. he's such a boss...
you can feel the air been pressed out of his lungs.
were the only ones who seem to use it, or the ones who seem to use it and it actually sounds right.
The drivers face during launch was priceless!!! LMFAO
0:29 Now you see the guys behind the car... Now you don't.
You're absolutely right, Bugatti had to go back to the drawing boards after having the record for like 3 weeks, let alone 15 years. and the second you take it around a corner, there goes 2 million dollars. Glad someone else has some common sense.
I like when the guy just prepares himself by clinging to door handle :D
@winwinniewinfield what chime are you talking about?
For the who is driving it , he have done it many times before the happiness slowly fades away , but for the passanger its his first time but after a while he will have the same face as the driver , money cant buy life forever
Ready for take off!
i know if i had the money for the ss id buy it without a second thought
With money, you're the king......
the words every veyron passenger wants to hear.."now you drive"
"now you can drive".........daaaaaamiit I would love to hear that from a Bugatti owner hahahahahaa
That's actually true. I've heard that the tyres cost about 25k. Rims not included.
You can buy three Renault Twizys for that money... I repeat, THREE Renault Twizys! For the price of one single set of tyres! That's sick... :D
The concorde of cars.
I will drive this car one day, fast as fuck
If you want a pure driving experience, buy neither - A GT3 RS is what you need unless you cant drive very well of course :)
Just being silly, but those phallic shapes baguettes that are made daily can fall into that category. I love France and the Basque Country!
Thanks for letting us all know......
Astonishing. That's all I have to say.
even front wheels spinned :,D

@XxSuperDixX i know but not every 4wd drive cars can do that right?
i agree, but as u said, 99% of the buyers will never drive it in the track. but for the ones who knows how to do it, Agera will be more fun and thrills
The GTR may be quick off the line, but when you take it in for scheduled maintanence, it'll go to the same place as all the Versas, Altimas, and Maxima's... LOL!!!
that sales guy has that customer drooling, sold, sold with just a press on the accelerator.
nissan GTR would be a good car but veron is the next level up
You're right, but I believe Shelby Super Cars definitely has the potential to beat the Veyron since they've done it once before. @koenigsegg1000 What men? I couldn't see through the warp speed.
That driver is a pimp ! he's like...yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....
take it ez bro your gonna make him cry
IT'S LIKE OWNING YOUR OWN FUCKING ROLLER COASTER! :D
0:34 i bet if you drive without seatbelts you can get whiplash simply by shifting from 1st to 2nd.
0-100kmh 2.4s thats 1.2gs man, its like falling on the floor face flat.
The drivers face is probably more like "I better not fuck this up"
I see what you are saying and I agree with you in a lot of ways. krass
das würd mir bestimmt auch spaß machen ^^
4 tires (michelin pilot sport, custom build) costs around 32.000$ and the rims the same too.. at least for the new Grand Sport Vitesse.. oO !!
You get more fun for the money with the GT-R??
Plus it doesn't cost tens of thousands of dollars to service every year.
Price, comfort, handling, price, usability, price, technology, price, oh and price.
I thought he would have said "Now you can puke!" LOL!
i agree with everything you said, it defiantly is quite an alarming experience the first time around, my point is the type of person that should own this type of car should be used to that sort of thing. i understand the veyron is a product viable for purchase by anyone with the money and a valid drivers license but its frighting to me that anyone can by one for the concern of not only for their but the safety of other road users. if you dont know what your doing these cars are very dangerous
look at the driver face it's like -.- and the copilot it´s like O.O!!
Well than every car is the best since they are basically made to take you from point A to B :)
The driver's like " i do this every day" i would like to be one of those mens. Thumbs up if you too :)
Nice, the driver keeps a straight face with an acceleration like that? :D
left guy: ahh shittt WTF ughhhhhh
right guy: ahhh watever....
Amazing feel wow
@faiamaster - lol the tires are £20,000 thats not alot for a house m8 where do you live?
yes I'am, your point being what exactly?
Gotta love their expressions:
Passenger: WOAH, OMG!!!
Driver: Meh, boring....
XD
This car is fucking nuts.
Ralph Fiennes is Amon Goeth, BUGATTI TEST DRIVER
@proto12qs
After you do about 30 launches as a test driver, it get's boring :P
i want to see bugatti ss VS koeniggsegg agera r
also hennessey venom gt VS lamborghini aventador, it will be an EPIC battle
agera R would walk away. Hennesey vs aventador is a complete waste of time, the hennesey would demolish it.
Acap Zelo57 well the Veyron ss will beat the agera r but the agera r would destroy the Veyron vitesse. And the venom gt would beat the lambo
That guy just burned off an easy thousand dollars worth of tires. AWESOME!!!!!
the best? someone who buys a veyron, is just a rich guy who wants to show off...someone who choose an Agera R (and manages to control it) that would be a rich guy who at least has some motorsport knowledge and wants to enjoy himself, along with showing off...
launching to 300 like a rocket is no fun after you do it 5-10 times...controling a rwd beast in a track will never be boring
he felt the g force alright
Ten Filmik i tak przejmą Polacy :D
Now you can drive... I pardon you.
@TheDecidingBullet right...just a very small amount of cars can
haha where do you get your stats from bro those cars are over 4 years old now
Fucking favourite! Awesome man!
I wouldn't call it an expensive Honda. It performs very well for a Luxury car, but if you want a pure driving experience, I'd get a GT-R. There's too much technology in the Veyron. Coming from a huge Veyron fan!

It's all about the torque guys.
completely irrelevant how you're comparing a veyron to a gtr lol..veyrons cost more to build than they sell for..
Much better car for the money.
