The line "shift and quake, this is our sorry fate. The cat is coming to kill us in our cage" makes me think that Drill Man is warning the other robots in his stage to flee
And that is such a tragic idea, I love it

I love how you not only acknowledged the fact that miners would bring canaries into the mines to check if the air wasn't safe, but also that you fit it into the lyrics as the beginning of the chorus, *firmly* establishing a symbolic connection between Drill and the little yellow birdies. Makes me wish there was a bird enemy in his stage. This song is great!
