Autopolis is worth considering. But I don't think Japanse GP needs replacement. Japan's massive Prefectures could easily be a host to two or more GPs annually. Where racing and automotive manufacturing is really a "culture" is Japan, Italy, Germany and Britain. Then elsewhere. I'm not opposed to multi-racing weekends in each country, each season. Monza, Imola, Mugello, Vallelunga and Misano Suzuka, Fuji, Motegi, Autopolis and Okayama Nurburgring and Hockenheimring Silverstone, Oulton and Brands ...all worthy of considering Centralized racing is, in fact, a smart cost-reducing strategy. Less Middle East and USA; please.
only downsides for Fuji is that remote location and lack of infrastructure for spectators to drive in or come by mass transit is bottlenecked, Toyota bias when it comes to fan expression (no Ferrari flags allowed only Toyota ones), and expensive trackside food and other accessories.
Motegi is perfect for the Japanese Grand Prix. Suzuka is also a great track, but Motegi is more Formula 1 suited track, despite the fact the track was never used for Formula 1. :)
I don’t know if it’s just me but I love the motegi circuit/ring nice and flowy imo would be interesting to see f1 go there if it was fia grade one. Love the videos Tom keep up the top quality mate 👍
All four was good and enjoyable enough to host a GP. I think they should consider switching between them every year like Germany did with Hockenheim and Nurburgring.
@@JamesGeiger23 IIRC it's because at the end of every DRS zone need to be a braking zone which auto shuts the flap. Because of 130R it would be too dangerous to have the flap open while cornering before Casio Triangle.
10:41 and 15:48 let MotoGP take over Suzuka Circuit, so F1 can rejoin Fuji speedway where World Endurance Championship does it’s racing or They can Race at Mobility Resort Motegi Road course
I don't like Motegi, there are a lot of chicanes and 90 degrees corners. Fuji is a good track but the second part is a lot worse than the first one. I didn't know Okayama but I liked it, it has a good flow but Suzuka in my opinion is unbeatable😃 so my leaderboard is Suzuka first, Okayama second, Fuji third and Motegi fourth.
Fuji as it is right now: 1) wide track width for side-by-side action 2) different lines 3) chicane for back-and-forth battles 4) long straights for slipstream battles 5) being in the rain shadow of Mt Fuji for a lot of changeable conditions. Probably better than Suzuka if you remember watching the 2008 (one of my first) and 2007 (went back and watched on Dailymotion cause UA-cam copyright) Japanese GPs on TV.
I am personally a fan of Motegi, as well as Suzuka, just from mybown driving game experience. Should F1 ever stop going to Suzuka, they should seriously consider Motegi. It's probably the best of the alternatives
Out of the tracks in this video I think Suzuka suits the current car the best with a majority of fast corners and only a small handful of slow corners. My alternative track recommendation would be Autopolis although the modern cars might not like the circuit with all the slow corners and technical bits.
You should definitly try this for other countries aswell, like Itay, belgium maybe even U.S.A.
F1 at laguna seca would be SICK
@@highground66He already did that
@@highground66 imagine a pack of 20 F1 Cars going down Corkscrew
Jerez would be amazing again
usa would be a 10381938 hour video if they included the ovals
I feel Fuji without the chicane would have mire flow and it would give a slightly better passing opportunity into the right
I agree. Like Algarve's T1.
@@TheJokerit19Yeah, but I thought of the right after the chicane for overtaking, I think the here chicane entry would be flat on its own
Interesting point tbf!

I think Baku and bahrain should stay, I think Qatar is an awful track though, it should go
Singapore should stay aswell!@@overtheatlas
You had me at less Middle East. The USA has great circuits, but F1 refuses to use them.
@@JamesGeiger23 likely because they're not fia grade 1
Nothing beats Suzuka imo. This track is only iconic corners, I feel like every meter is perfect
Well, if there have been the Twin Ring Motegi circuit, the one where MotoGP runs, it would have been curious to see it with F1 Cars
The downshift of the Ferrari sounds like a star wars blaster 😂
The 4th track was absolutely perfect!
I don't know where u got this video idea from, but cheers for it, awesome vid, amazing one to watch
You missed the best: Sugo 👀
FIA Grade 1?
@@Tom97 no, Sugo is not Grade 1. If you took that into account, then you have the whole pack 🙌

Okayama would be soooo good for MotoGP
As much as i love all these circuits, suzuka is simply the best and i can understand why they've used it all these years
Amazing stuff! BTW how did you setup your driving view in Assetto Corsa?
Is this old Pacific Grand Prix at Aida?
I remember it from F1 on the PS1.
do you use assetto corsa or assetto corsa competizione?
Wayyyy too much whistling in the car

With a strong car like F1/SF/GT500 Fuji is the best. But all of these are very enjoyable.
All four was good and enjoyable enough to host a GP. I think they should consider switching between them every year like Germany did with Hockenheim and Nurburgring.
They should do that with the USA. So many great tracks and yet we get Vegas and Miami which are terrible in comparison.
Only problem is that only Fuji has FIA grade 1 alongside Suzuka
Well I'm down for two as well. @@mikulitsi1819

All they need to do to help overtaking at Suzuka is add a DRS zone between spoon and 130R

Suzuka, without a doubt.
No.
All tracks have their own charm!🇯🇵
Motegi builders: hey Jerez can I copy your homework?
Jerez management: Sure but change it so it doesn't look obvious.
Motegi:
If F1 cars keep getting bigger they will need new circuits any way.
so japan just made a circuit that looks like an enterprise from star trek? lol
You should do one for the UK some of the other circuits are fun.
Tom, what about the Autopolis circuit, in Oita?
Please do it for the 🇬🇧 at some point
This Sf-23 look similar to the rb-19 , can someone explain to me ?
because of the mod probably
It's the VRC Mod which is based on the Aston Martin which are obviously similar to the RB.
try out some australia tracks
Fuji is so class omg
I make 1.26.903 suzuka and Monaco 1.07.234 good ?
And ı am a pro simracing driver and F3 driver
motegi is the best but honda owns the circuit + its a motogp track

Suzuka is a unique circuit, okayama is challenging, fuji is like magny cours with sharper turns and twing ring motegi a smoother track
