Funnily enough, the Lord spoke to me a year ago and told me that my ability to build software was from Him; that's one of my callings. I'm not entirely sure why, but right now I'm leading a team, and I have answers almost every time for the problems that they have. Just like you described of this guy on the job site. I've always wondered how much of my programming skill was from Him, and how much of it was me, because I'm insanely good at it. I have another calling too, but he is training me.
There are two men of God that Holy Spirit uses to just wear my tail out and light a fire under my butt. One is David Wilkerson. The other is John Bevere. MY LORD! God has recently given me something to steward and I have not been faithful to it, especially with my mouth. And I stumbled across this teaching. Forgive, O Lord! Forgive! I repent!
As a woman, i feel like i don't have a calling. And biblically women only ever longed for or just bore children. I have a 5 month old but am on the fence of having another one but my mental health is in the dumps. Should i keep multiplying or can i just maintain the one kid i have?
Be careful to not have more children out of duty alone, if you are called to be a mother then multiplication can come out of one child in how you raise it up in the way it should go, and the spiritual fruit of that can multiply to others. The calling of God comes out of his power and his might, not our own. If you have a calling outside of motherhood, stay in the secret place and maybe even fast to be able to get closer to the Lord so you can hear His will for you in prayer.
Not all women in the Bible just bore children. Deborah in the Bible used her gifting to counsel, advise, and acted as a judge to help people sort through situations in their life. She was also a prophetess who could hear the Lord with a gift of faith and that helped Barak carry out the attack God commanded him to lead. Our callings are not always evident while we are rearing children, but we are in training for the purposes God has for us. He doesn’t always reveal them to us right away, but it will unfold when the time is right, and you will look back and realize just how much you’ve been in training all along. Have faith! He has a calling for all of us, and multiplication is not just in the context of bearing more children.
Congratulations on being a mum. I found being a mum was testing at times but also a blessing. It came with pain, struggle, love, joy, laughter, tears, struggles, challenges and delight. I was in a city far from family and with different ways, so it wasn't always easy. I had not been a child who liked playing with dolls or playing house. Support with health and access to groups, parks were helpful to me. Many libraries, churches, councils, charities, community health have activities, Mother and baby groups, you can attend. You can receive and give in different ways in these places. Our family have dealt with a range of health difficulties including mental health. Some needs had different solutions. Some were spiritual aspects and some were practical human ones. Having wise helpful kind people to chat to can be of benefit. Those who will listen on the good and the bad days. Who will encourage you and not overwhelm you with a long list of how to be better. Enjoy when you think things are good, remind yourself each day is a new day when you think it's not gone as you would prefer. I like to remember the word and characteristics, Slow to anger, abounding in grace.
Wake up! I know his inside story. Just don't follow him and the others out there like John MacArthur, Copeland, B Hinn. Get in your Bible and pray your heart out to Jesus....
