2015 David Rawle, “Why Charles Fraser Matters”

2015 Charles Fraser Lecture Series featuring guest speaker, David L. Rawle. David L. Rawle is the retired founder and chairman of Rawle Murdy, a marketing and communications firm based in Charleston, SC. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, David knew and worked with Charles Fraser over a 27-year period. They worked together on Sea Pines, Kiawah Island and Palmetto Bluff. Other real estate developments David has worked with include Daniel Island and Westavco’s (now WestRock) large-scale planned communities, East Edisto and Nexton, whom he continues to advise. Outside the real estate development field, David has represented organizations as diverse as Piggly Wiggly grocery stores, Orient-Express Hotels and MTV Networks. His lecture entitled, “Why Charles Fraser Matters,” discusses the current relevance and challenges of Charles Fraser’s pioneering accomplishments.
