Lis, a tip for moving the bike backwards, hold the front brake on and push the bike forward so that the suspension compresses, then stop pushing and as the front suspension springs back up, let the brake go. It will throw the bike backwards a little, keep doing it and you will move backwards.
Great episode. Don't know why but this one really had me smiling. Unusual to see Harry being the one falling over more. I'm in awe of your language skills! I think the locals really appreciate when travellers at least try to converse in the native language and then smiles appear and doors open. The mud looked impossible … good call turning around, especially when you showed on the map how much farther you had to go. The impatience (or should that be careful schedule keeping?) from Lis at the end was very visible… Harry just gets lost in conversation and photo ops!
Fair play to you guys for taking those routes. And thanks for sharing. This is why your vids are so good. It's also great to see how well you guys get on together.
I think the only thing that might work for that mud is spiked ice riding tires ,but they might be hard to find there. Congrats on 8k subs ,you deserve 100k.
The DR gets the job done. Neither fast nor balanced but it gets it done, always.XD Hary you might wanna do some sort of "Drift stich"regarding the front guard. Overlay the fenders and drill holes through the sides and zip em. Safe riding
Hi, I'm loving your adventures, wish I had done something like that when I was younger. I'm in my late 60's and have done three tours through Vietnam with Vietnam Motorbike Tours and they were fantastic. I'm going to Northern Thailand to do an 8 day tour with Big Bike Tours in April this year, so that's the closest I can get to your wonderful tour. Your later posts in Northern Thailand have been great, gives me an idea of where I'm off to.
Wow good work!!Deep in the slime!! Once those tyres are caked every inch you move forward is an achievement! Some stylish wipeouts though, nicely done, I suggest rolling over a couple more times when you fall off, just for added effect 😂 and then there’s that one local guy with the completely overloaded bike who somehow, by some kind of miracle (teleportation?) got as far as he did without losing his load… what lovely people you meet though and such an incredible trip!
Good effort guys 👍 that mud looked Hellish. Although you'd have thought by now that when Harry says " lets go off-piste, it'll be fun", the alarm bells in Liss's head would start ringing 😂🤣😂. Great fun for scribble scrobblers to watch, I'd imagine it was a case of 'Type 2' fun for you both? I would have got off my bike and kissed the tarmac when it came 😂🤣You both looked a little taller at The Equator, careful you don't go too far and fall off the edge 🗺🌎
Well done on that mud, it's like riding on ice, especially when the tyres fill completely. On a completely different tangent, I guess you've seen Kinga was robbed in Canada? Literally a brazen daylight robbery, by the cctv footage. Be safe, ride safe.
Well done! I think beating that slippy mud counts as a challenge and accomplishment in any serious adventurer's handbook. Huzzahs to you both. Glad neither of you got hurt.
Best ep yet I think. That mud was ridonkulous ! And better, you guys seem to be really getting along and super supportive of each other on your amazing journey ! Enjoy Malaysia its my fave country ever.
Did you let a bit of air out of the tyres for the mud? Makes a huge difference to the traction in that stuff. Obviously need to balance the pressure with your load.
Hey guys you just keep raising the bar, pushing envelope so to speak. If that's not an adventure I don't Know what is. Great viewing and Harry, your language skills are amazing. You're both legends ... By the look of the map when you turned back off the clay road, if it had stopped raining you would still be if you didn't turn back. Good decision. Till next... stay safe and happy
Too much rpm to climb the muddy road, even in such bad weather conditions, well done Harry and Liss, a great and pleasant journey and always in the most adverse conditions, always ride as safely as possible.😀👍
As famous Aussie Adventurer Russel Coight says"theres only one way to get there and thats flat out". No really, you pair did a good job on that clay.Just keep going on your trip, cause its very enjoyable.
We joke we call that "technical terrain"..ie, slippery ass clay which that reminds me of, deep sand dunes, Boulder fields god I hate those 😖 Which tires were those?, I don't know if you installed rimlocks on the bikes, but did you try knocking the air down to about 16-18 pounds in the rears????👍🥃
That 'slippy, slidy' mud even looks exhausting and infuriating. Surprising we didn't hear more Bahasa Indo swear words. Luckily the bikes can't talk 🙄 But, one more country behind you. Well done!
G'day mud people, you made me laugh at 2min 03 sec looking for ATM there was one to your left haha. drop your tyre pressure for the slippy 💩 you will go better. have fun.
Not wanting to speak out of school but, considering your speed and and terrain I would be letting out air to at half of what you are at. You foot print is not adequate for the wet clay. The terrain is very slick so there is no prospect of a flat. The tear is the first one to drop.then just pump it back up when your thru the worst of it...
Oh yes i very much remember that Borneo mud it was a bloody nightmare.
Good effort
is that THE James R?
@@RidingOnEggshells yes i suppose it is haha.
How are you guys tracking? Very jelous you're out there atm

Thank you Bill!
Great stuff. I was feeling your pain in the mud. Had a similar experience in outback NSW. Go the mighty DR.
Hi Pete ,don't you just love this channel?
@@billcotton1551 G'day Bill. Sure do enjoy the Eggshells mate.
This episode … OMG is all we can say about the challenges you faced with that hellish slippery route 😮

Yes we did see that! Cheeky beggars. Glad that the internet sorted her out though and she's back on the road
Impressive riding and good video, thanks! Been watching you guys for several years, Liz’s riding has really progressed.
It's good to see *@margarita* has come along for the ride!
multumesc darlinks- I ride also - c my chenny !!!
Nice riding both of u.. welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾 & have a great time exploring west Malaysia.
Greetings from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Thank you! We wish we'd gone to Kota Kinabalu but it was raining SO MUCH!
Well done! I think beating that slippy mud counts as a challenge and accomplishment in any serious adventurer's handbook. Huzzahs to you both. Glad neither of you got hurt.
Good footage and a great adventure you're both on. Be safe.
Awesome effort on that greasy clay road! Good call to bail out and retreat. Following intently, safe travels!
That's really slippery the mud looks similar to what's on Kenyan highlands it's impassable during heavy rains. Glad you made it through.
Mud looks slicker than snail snot

Jeez Harry, your stunts on that muddy road looked so realistic I sense a career as a Hollywood stuntman is beckoning
Well my career as a Bollywood stuntman is behind me, so I'm well versed in the art of putting my body on the line for others enjoyment!

Awesome adventure travel! I hate snotty mud. I'll take deeeeep sand every time. Thank you for sharing this with us

Awesome you two. Brilliant.
Oh man, I think you guys should stick to the blacktop when in tropical rains! Great episode, but we dont want to see broken bones!
Feel free to stay with us in Sarawak !

We didn't that time. It was just so glassy I thought that wouldn't make much difference. Now that two of you have said it in hindsight I could have.
That 'slippy, slidy' mud even looks exhausting and infuriating.

Darn good efet on the clay wet stuff u2 😎👌 i would have droped it waaay more 😥😒
keep safe and well guys😉🍺🍺
ADVENTURE!!!!
✌😁✌
Brown ice natural for thumper traction. I don't think I've seen any bikes with TC try this. Would need slipper too.
POWER
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Harry, how do you find the gopro remote? Any issues with it?
How can a track look like so much fun but at the same time not 😅 That greasy clay man 😬
It is utterly bonkers. We hit another patch recently and it is amazing how quickly it slipped. Like the grass and surface were spray painted on.
Sampai sana :::: there to finish ,, slippery 😊
the road look like my country

Yeah okay maybe you're all right on that
@@RidingOnEggshells I had a xr 600 for 8 years used to go down to 10 psi hugh deference.
what air pressure is in the tyres

Of course!
@@RidingOnEggshells where your location now?
40km of lumayan 😀😀
Was a lot of lumayan! Terlalu Banyak lumayan!

Hi is that the garmin montana 700i that you are using. Do you like it for the bike
Umm... I'm a bit so-so on it. I am probably not using it right but invariably find using the phone is easier.
I'm actually about to make an episode about navigation and gadgets, let me know if you have questions!
I'm looking at the garmin inreach for contact when there's no reception. Keep up the fun and honest videos
I love you ❤️ 😍 💗
So, the big question ... happy with tyre choice ?
For the mud, no. For the bits of sand we've done they were great.
@@RidingOnEggshells Yeah I reckon for that clay / mud any tyre would clog up and slip all day long.
Big mistake not wearing gloves, regardless of the heat.
@25:20 looked close 😬

Hi How are you video 📹 Nice Good 👍 I'm Pakistan 🇵🇰 😊😊
You know you don't have to do everything the hard way, just saying guys.
But these days are my FAVOURITE! Harry's. Not Liss'. She likes it when things go to plan.
The muddy roads were deliberately made to make it difficult for illegal loggers
liss, u will need to find a hair salon !!! get all that mud out !!
air down your tyres next time.
We sometimes do. On that I think it'd not make much difference it was glass.
@@RidingOnEggshells it would make a significant difference
@@6226superhurricane yeah you may be right
😄
Is a good time . to. throw in the towel !!!
find a mechanic,, he can weld some training wheels to the swing arm !!!
Liss , I will ring you on the whats app, what is good time ? 😍
