Good stuff! I wish I knew years ago that learning the Major scale and intervals like the back of your hand was the way to start. Soo much becomes more clear and explainable when you get your intervals down.
I'm very well versed in modes and it's a regular part of my writing, but hey it's a Giuseppe video, you always offer some refreshing ideas even if it's something I already understand. You are a great teacher bro and we all appreciate!
The traditional explanations of theory make people think it is way more complicated than it is. I tell everyone I only use one scale and play the same thing everytime, you just have to know what degree of the scale is your tonal center and which of the 12 keys to plug the major scale pattern into. One scale. That's why it's called a key
Dude this and your Phrygian video are about the best videos on modes I’ve yet watched. Thanks for putting your spin on these concepts, so digestible. 😊
Yo! An Italian that can teach music in English... that's cool...i live in Italy now and nobody speaks English, let alone music, notes and stuff. Well done bro, nice lesson...keep doing it others will improve their guitar playing and you'll improve your pronunciation. keep chugging Ciao 👽🤘
I dont like thinking of modes as their base key. I prefer the second way he described, lydian is sharp 4 and dorian is raised sixth. Because thinking of it that way gives you more options than what are technically modes. The major scale with flat 3 or flat 6, the minor scale with sharp 4. Lots of other options but those ones are easy to work for me.
Super player, really like your playing and phrasing. In terms of chords changes, do you still use the same approach by following the major scale each chord are in. I find that a bit difficult sometimes when there are a lot of chord changes. In this matter wouldn’t the parallel approach be easier? Cheers from Denmark 😊
You're confused? You couldnt understand a simple topic? So your immediate reaction to your inability to understand a simple aspect of music theory is to insult people? You have two brain cells and both of them are fighting for third place lmao

You are the only person on UA-cam that explains modes properly.
That might be the best and simplest explanation I've ever heard regarding modes and modal play. Nice work G.
dude i've been playing for like 18 years, and your video got an audible "oh shit" out of me. thanks a bunch.

Nice. Thanks. I'll definitely try to apply that.
I've been researching and practicing modes lately on bass. Great video, Lydian is my favorite!
That mode is a real treat for my fingers!
Love your lessons, lots of little lamps lighting up over my head watching them ^^
Absolutely great how you explain things simply........................

You're German, and you're flying the Ukraine flag??? Wow. Have fun this winter.

thanks budd
Thank you.I need the TAB note.
So on the B maj scale when moved over other chords was it still the same notes being played? Or for C# example, was it that chord note?
Amazing sir music.
It works only on maj 7 chords?
Can you send tab or teach us the solo you played in the biggining of the video
that was improvised, sorry

great
Is it the Nolly plugin here? 🤔
nice
I just always think of the lydian mode as the Simpsons theme. Picturing a song that uses it helps.
this
The Jetson's theme.
Same here! The Simpsons theme is in Lydian Dominant, almost the same as a normal Lydian but with a flat Seventh interval instead of natural seventh!
Just subcribe. Its good. Thanks bro
Classe !
Why not an 8 string? Great playing btw. Bless UP
❤️❤️
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁🤘
The Satriani Mode.
then people say learning scale is useless lol
Yeah, I got nothing, lol.
I can repeat what you’re playing, but my brain just completely rejects theory and all this just sounds like gibberish.
Don't you go thinking I didn't hear "The Lick" at 4:08 🤣 Keep shredding man 💜🫵
i can't figure out what's worse. The terribly confusing mode explanation, or that horrible tone. youtube is gradually destroying us all.
what are you doing here
If you think hes tone is horrible you have ear problems. And if you think his explanations are confusing you have men.. tal problems
