Hi there😊 I was wondering, was the $250 including the insurance or did you pay more for that? I'm planning on going to Cancún also and was looking on renting a car from Avant.
@AnaCruz-xn3je hey there! $250 was including all our taxes, fees, and basic insurance. There was no extra fee we went and they offered we can pay $18 per day to cover additional coverage. For example, basic insurance will cover if you car got stolen but won’t if partial item was stolen such as tire or wheel and others. We decided to not get extra since it’s an edge case scenario and we will be valet parking most places. Once you go there they will explain more but this is the high level. Please let me know if you have any other questions! 😊 Also, we didn’t rent the cheapest car. So if you are looking for more budget friendly you may save little more than us.
Aww happy early birthday 🎉 If you are coming from USA then it’s pretty similar and safe. Luckily we only drive Cancun to Tulum Conrad resort so it was a straight road. Some areas it’s hard to see a lane paint so you just have to follow other cars. As long as you don’t go deep forest should be safe! We even went to convenient store. Also one more tip, if you are fueling gas, make sure the $ starts from 0. My rental car company recommend to check that because sometimes they may overcharge you. Hope this helps!
