Rest in peace Sir Stirling Moss, you'll be missed enormously. x
A legend has been lost
Wait stirling moss died? 😟😟
@@beamishlotus7269 yea in April this year
"What era of F1 would you liked to have raced in?"
Lewis : "Probably the mid 80's"
Shows a clip from the '91 Spanish GP.
Look at that for an engine boy!
Ouch!
+Hengroen My favourite part of the whole video. That one sentence.
that was such a lovely moment in that video, the old master sharing something with the boy!! lol.
idk if thats racist or not
@@blackgirlsrock264 I don't think so that was just the way men from that generation spoke to younger men.
"Look at that for an engine, boy."
The connection they had between them was amazing
I agree totally,I saw another clip I don't know if it was there first meeting ,but it was on the grid at Monaco,I think Lewis Hamilton was not in F1 , Martin brundle introduce him to moss, and the chemistry between them was there .
I shed a tear. Two great racing drivers. Loving their time in Formula 1. Talking to each other like old friends. Truly a meeting of generations.
*R.I.P. Sir Stirling Moss. Enduring proof that the WDC is not the definition of a driver's greatness!*
One of the best humans ever.
Best comment 👍
I just realized again how much I love this sport.
The world lost a treasure today.
“Boy, there’s a lot of drama!” Lewis Hamilton takes Sir Stirling Moss through his start procedure and the two Silver Arrow drivers share anecdotes about their racing experience.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Mercedes I'm such a huge fan of urs and Lewis Hamilton's too. Best team!!
This was less than 5 minutes long. Surely after going to the trouble of having both these greats present, you took more than just a few minutes of video! Can we see the rest of it?
I was smiling all the way through this video! Just so special..
Humility personified .
Survived racing in the most dangerous era of F1, went wheel to wheel with the great Juan Manuel Fangio, still commanded the respect of racers decades after retiring. Life well lived. Rest in peace Sir Stirling Moss
What a video - welling up a little bit in the office. Favourite moment - "Look at that for an engine boy". Beautifully put together. RT
Ask more questions! I could have listened to them for hours.
Rest in Peace, sir Moss. A true legend.
16 days 'til the #BritishGP at Silverstone. Let's get in the mood folks... #F1 #NoF1NoFun
Rest in peace legend, hero, sweet man..... .
I had the pleasure of meeting Sir Stirling in 2004 at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. Such a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
2 legends..
What a great conversation.
I've seen this a few times before but UA-cam suggested and I couldn't be happier to watch it again... 😊👍🏽👌🏽
Yes, and tears of joy & pleasure just watching something so special.
A couple of months ago I bought a piece of art featuring Sir Stirling Moss in his Maserati 250F. What a Legendary racing driver!
The two legends, beautiful, thank you.
Two true legends of their era.
Two legends together and as for the Mercedes F1 cars no words would describe.
If Lewis had been born when Stirling was, I bet he would have been as good a driver then as he is now. If Stirling had been born when Lewis was, he would be as good a driver now as he was then. Imagine both drivers in both periods, racing against each other ! R.I.P. Stirling.
Race in peace in heaven you absolute legend.
Here again after reading of the sad passing of Sir Stirling Moss. Just a joy to see him still enjoying taking out the Mercedes, enjoying the track with Lewis Hamilton. What a sad lost which will be felt through out the sporting world, within all racing series & classes.
The vessel in which he occupied has left us, but his spirit will live on within the growing F1 community...RIP Sir Sterling Moss...
I like the competition better than the victory, the fighting better than the winning. Stirling Moss. RIP Sir Stirling Moss !
RIP Legend
Love to see a series where Lewis joins F1 drivers from every era. That would be wonderful.
Two days ago - on Easter Sunday Stirling Moss went away and the race is racing elsewhere. A great driver.
I really enjoyed that, what a classic video! Many thanks, I couldn't stop amiling all e way through. ..."have a look at that boy"... What a legend!
The two British legends in one whoa could not stop smiling
Wow I liked this. I feel the respect coming from all the Legendary Pillars of F1. The fact that Lewis still has not stuck his chest out.! Thats my DAWG!
ah this video is so beautiful, we need more like this!!
What a wonderful man
So glad he got to live a full life, it could have been so different.
Short sleeve shirt, builders hat and a 170 mph car with no abs, power steering or very good suspension on dodgy roads. Racing drivers back in the day were bloody brave to say the least. RIP Sir Sterling Moss.
Two legendary drivers
Love how sterling calls Hamilton boy
This was nice to watch.
pure magic
Stirling Moss: true F1 legend and also true gentleman, I love him.
I Giorni really sets this off. 🎹
Love the passion from Stirling and you can see Lewis is a little humbled.
What a legend!
I wish the video was a tad longer, BBC is the best!
RIP to an absolute legend
A true legend - respect Sir Sterling
What a legend!
Fantastic! Thanks BBC for this short but great moment ;-)
That was simply perfect.
Brilliant interview thanks for the upload.
Soulful.
they share a bond like all racers do the concepts are still the same
Stirling is such a legend. What he achieved is still incredible by todays standards
Who's watching this in 2020... Rest in piece
Haha. Drop by again 2 say hello. I am glad this was made years b4 his passing. Same with Niki. Both are faces of Mercedes. RIP legend.😎😎🏎🏎
This was nice.

R,I,P one of the best ever a true champion.🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
A legendary racer, Sir Stirling Moss. Heard the news. God bless 🙏. Jesus loves and saves
BBC has their way of making videos...it's just brilliant...
Rest in peace sir Stirling moss
Back in the day these guys really have some big balls...
The modern F1 car is no doubt a superior machine, but the cars like the Mercedes W25, W196 and pre-war Auto Union were far more significant and revolutionary as they pioneered many technologies we take for granted today.
Amazing...
2 most fantastic lengends :)
Fabulous.
Legend
R.I.P Stirling moss a great legend
Rest in peace legend
Anyone else noticed that the tires on Moss' Silver Arrow are wider on the right than on the left? As if the right side has the rear tires and the left side the front tires or something.. :P Anyway, awesome video!
Legendary
LOVE TO SEE STIRLING DRIVE LEWIS CAR! RIP MR MOSS
Rest in peace Legend :(
That was really cool!
12.4.20 RIP Moss.
Back then, there was no electonic help. It was you, the track and the danger of not crossing the finish line.
Thanks for this amazing video. :)
Has Lewis waved to his competitors while sitting in his car on the grid yet? If not would love to see him start doing that!
Rest in peace...
rip in peace sir sirling moss!
Excellent little clip! I would much preferr to drive the old car (with only me on the track)
Sir Stirling Moss O.B.E. LEGEND!
this is brilliant!
Comparing steering wheels fantastic piece....
awesome!
Well, same here... :)
Rip Mr Moss
Moss reminds me of this video
Rip sir Stirling. 🙏🙏🙏
Rip Sir Stirling Moss
If Sterling Moss was young today he would be the best.
The two number one with Ayrton
The star of the video for me is Rudolf Uhlenhaut, seen during the first few seconds.
wonderful idea, gang.
thank you.
at one point the old dude said the lost 3-4 drivers a year he just like whatever
Motosport is still the same dangerous nowadays. Check out the Isle of Man TT for example -- several fatal accidents per race every fkn year. Three in 2017.
R.I.P Sir Moss.
This video needs to be longer....please for the love of the viewers make it longer or make a series of this
