I bought the Kinder race vest a couple of weeks ago and will be trying it out this weekend. I'm training for the Ultra North 25k Trail run in July, so not quite as far as you but still the longest event I've ever done......got to start somewhere!
Thanks for this Claire. I've ordered the harrier jacket and trousers which should be arriving soon so I'm excited to try them out. Also thinking of getting one of their race vests which I'll need for my first ultra (53k) in October.
One thing to remember with RTTS and RTTK is that all the food in all the aid stations, half way stop/finish and the final finish line, is all vegitarian/meat free. Just make sure you train with this in mind. At the finish last year of RTTS, I had spicy potatoe wedges, vegi sausages and 2 fried eggs, and it was the best thing I have ever eaten. Just remember vegi stuff is great, but it can do interesting things to your tummy if you are not used to it! 🚻🍔🍟🍺
The 10ltr vest is very good value indeed, I have one, only niggle is the soft flasks are tricky to get back in after refilling if you have other items in those front pockets. Those Carbon poles are super light, I have them also and will be trying them out for the first time in Wales this weekend. Good luck with the 100K! PS it is nice to support a family run UK company when we can.
Maybe you could ditch the little light in the first aid. I add a tick remover (if needed) and a little bag for the phone if very wet. The carabiner is useful on the outside to put your cup for drinking! Harrier stuff is great and that jacket has SO many pockets... looks very tempting!

Yes! I remember the days when running for 20 mins non stop was an achievement for me! Have a great race and enjoy that 25k! Well done you!
You PLAN so well.
Everything is detailed and up to the mark. 😊
Haha thanks, apart from getting bronchitis after making this film and not being able to run the 100k! ;)

Nice addition Kingsley!
That’s a good top tip re taking a sandwich bag to put sandwiches collected at pit stops in. Thanks for that. I’m doing the 50k coastal route 😎
Awesome thanks have a great race! Sarnie bags ahoy!

Fab! Thanks Martin! I find that problem with all packs!
Great video Claire. Hadn't thought of ditching the first aid kit bag!
It's only a few grams, but with us racing snakes, hey every little counts!
Thanks for this Claire! Am doing the full 100 so see you there!
GOOD LUCK! I've had to drop down to the 50k coastal cos I have bronchitis! DOH! Hope to still bump into you tho say hi!
