I think having a designated color for each of your grade levels will be extremely helpful with organization and planning. For example, you can have purple math folder for your kinders and so on for 1st and 3rd - the designated colors can also help you prep for small group and organize materials and manipulatives. I teach art to K-5th and I use designated colors all of the time - I love it so much and it helps me keep their projects, grading, etc organized. 😊
Use painters tape and the put hot glue over, or command strips. It will keep from damaging the walls. I have to use sticky tack this year and have no idea how good it works but will let you know.

Will your students be going in and out from their classroom to yours? I have cement walls and hot glue or masking tape works well.
