Coolendel Campground Shoalhaven NSW Camping in our Jayco Journey

Coolendel Campground is situated on 52 Hectares of gorgeous bush land which is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife including Giant Goannas, peacocks, wombats, wallaby’s, and beautiful bird life. Coolendel Campground offers loads of adventure as it is surrounded by the Shoalhaven River and had plenty of bush walks and bike tracks. We did not fish at the Shoalhaven River at Coolendel however we’v e been told that the fishing is great. The river runs rapidly so you could take a kayak or canoe and drift along.
It is about a 4 hour drive from Sydney and it gives you the perfect opportunity to unwind as you have no phone reception throughout the entire campground. It is suited for everyone as they also offer Cabins as well as Flash Camp Glamping accomodation.
At Coolendel there are no allocated camp sites, you are free to choose a nice spot near a fire pit, or at a secluded spot. The entire campground is very open and the grassy areas are well maintained. They offer bins, water taps, camp kitchen and amenities blocks which are kept very clean.
The drive in is about 10kms along a dirt road. Whilst at Coolendel we visited Fitzroy Falls and Kangaroo Valley which we loved. We also visited a couple of lookouts which we enjoyed.
Overall we loved our experience at Coolendel Campground and we give it 2 thumbs up.

They charge ridiculous fees 👎🏼 go to Yalwal dam Camp grounds, they have heaps of fire pits with hotplates and toilet, dog friendly and does it cost a sent!
