That V12 badge on the Aston means two Ford Contour V6's glued together. Lol
As a carguy, let me make sure nobody falls for this: less automatics than manuals does NOT raise the value of automatics. Manuals are always more valuable due to the fact they're tougher and easier to salvage and rebuild.
mr carguy there is now universal code like that, what goes true on sports/enthusiast cars might not do on economoboxes
Thanks for sharing the 911 turbo. I have found that knowing more about these damaged cars is great for me, but bad for bidding. The more you know, the less you bid. There are lots of people bidding blind that blow the pricing up.
Moving up north next week I’m tryna rebuild my first car by my birthday next year . I’m greatly inspired by guys like you and hope I can soak up knowledge from all the game ppl
Drop on here . Stay blessed up 🤟
Good luck with the move and I wish you luck on the rebuild!
Dang! Of all the Co-part walkaround youtubers....you are a wealth of knowledge, information and the perfect commentator....keep it up and you'll will definitely increase your sub count! Cheers!
AWESOME VIDEO! THANKS FOR WAKING ME UP THIS MORNING WITH THE COMMENTARY!
If my memory is correct, On those newer BMW cars, it might look like the hood is popped, but it's not actually. You have to pull the hood popper handle TWICE. Pulling it once half pops it(like it is in the video) you have to pull it again and it fully releases the Hood.
Cool walk around, that C7 was so jacked up for a second I thought it was the Callaway Stationwagon!
No joke I thought the same at first glance.
That 997.2 PDK is a beast. Shifts like butter. Simply amazing.
Fun fact the fire department cuts the batteries for entertainment. If they aren’t lucky enough to use the jaws of life they have to Cut something to make it worth your while for coming out 🤣🤣. Now you know. First responder ⛑
Hey I get it!
Awesome video, love these copart walk arounds I find these awesome! Some really cool cars in there! For the Porsche yeah if you could get it definitely worth the money just in parts that’s the switch over to DFI engine pretty bullet proof with bolt ons! Can’t wait for the next video!! Keep up the great content!! Watching from over the pond in the UK 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!!
it's an efi conversion kit. the "carb" is just a throttle body.
Love your videos and BMW with airbags deployed don’t start again. They have a fuse in the battery that pops when a airbag deploys
997/987.2 pdk transmission awsome.
Glad I happened on your channel with the red vette. Loving it, im hooked
The first year GTOs were 5.7 with double exhaust tips on one side, And unless I'm mistaken, the 05 06 models carried the 6.0 and had two exhaust tips, one on each side. The hood also changed in 05. They added the scoops. There were stories about some dealers adding the later hood to unsold 04s. Never really cared for them personally, They were nice cars but priced high for what they were.
Love these Copart walks !
Love your channel! You’re in the right business and know the Corvettes value like no one else. As far as the Camaro went that looked like a 1970 and 1/2 rally sport Z28. Ultra rare if vin supported. Keep the content coming Brother!
Unfortunately it's so new at copart they haven't released the full vin on the site yet!
I want that Q50. 😩 The red and black looks to be a fifty some Chevy old folks love them, they are going out of style. Built no problems maybe 25k. If I had the money, I would scoop that Porsche. Lovely. Take it easy focus on the Porsche.
First time I’ve seen your vids and I love them. New sub.
That Camaro did have EFI that is a kit that can be mounted to a carburetor style intake manifold. Chances are that Camaro had some sort of tune.
Nice, a new video as a birthday present for me. Thank you very much!
Happy birthday and thanks for watching!
Holley Sniper is an aftermarket efi set up for older carbed vehicles they are like 1500-2k.
Wow, what an exciting adventure! 😍🤩
Love to content. You’re so much less annoying than the other dude who does the coparts walk arounds.
I don’t know which dude you’re talking about but I’m glad you’re enjoying them!

Yep, Porsche switched to the PDK box for the 997.2. Huge improvement over the auto, though the PDK has improved since. For turbos, there were some weird, very rare 997.1.5 models that had the old engine and trans options but had the interior update. There is a bit of a premium on .2 models for the newer interior, and this one is suuuuuper clean, though there isn’t as much of a premium for 997.2 turbos, as the 997.1 turbo was the last of the Metzger derived engine, and it wasn’t a faulty design like NA/Carrera 997.1 engines. As you said, the Metzger fanboy army would probably prefer your engine!
I bought a 997.2 Turbo S last year. The PDK is pretty good, but definitely not quite as refined as the newer ones.
I lived in my surf van for 2 years here in Huntington Beach. I had a blast. Saved $40k and looking to buy a Viper :)
All I can say thanks alot to you tubers like u guys that messed up copart for good !!...I know alot of my friends that used to buy cars from there for years for a great price especially nice sport cars, not to fix and re sale, just to enjoy for ourselves knowing that you never be able to buy that car from a dealer...now that every tick tocker knows about it ....you may as well go to a dealer and get a better deal then getting it on copart
@Boggs D, sucks to suck….The salvage auction market has certainly changed. You have to be able to adapt and change with it. Otherwise, wasn’t meant to be anyways. Don’t sit there a whine about it like a child.
@@scraplifedalt who's whining!? I just made a comment about it, I don't whine I spitt facts!!
That Buick is awesome it actually looks to be almost the same exact car from the movie Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead.
Looked into getting a q60 infinity but heard the auto trans was trash. Went with my f22 m235i x drive
FD cuts the battery cable.
They do it here in Australia as well.
Insurance companies hate it.
That old school Camaro was a split front bumper very rare ...
New subscriber here. Loved one of the walkarounds so now i am subbed
Welcome to the club!
997.2 turbo s ...love it...as a proud owner of one!))
and yes, totally agree that's the best spoiler on it!
The carbon fiber air box is OEM (exclusive option) and yes it's a real PDK, which no human being can beat with a manual)).
Good luck with your project!
Awesome! What color is yours?
@@LeeC ..it's meteor gray
@@TheBestsellermd I funny enough had a Meteor Grey 997.2 Turbo S as well but it had hideous sea blue interior w/ yellow stitching, not even 2yrs later traded it for a Racing Green Mclaren Mp4-12c thought I made the best deal of my life time but then I ended regretting it not even a year later after trading 🥲😂
OMG, a 997.2 Turbo S in GUARDS RED?!? That is a rare one. The carbon fiber airbox cover is OEM on the S
Man I have too keep watching you
You are off the chain 😂😂😎👍🏾
Glad you liked it!
Love the channel! The only thing that would increase the value of that 997.2 Turbo S would be if it was manual. 997.2 is the last with a manual Turbo. Hope you get the winning bid on it!
If it was manual I May have risked jail and just tried to drive it straight out of the lot.
997.2 Turbo S were PDK only. Interesting that it doesn't have centerlock wheels. The original owner must have ordered 5-bolt wheels as a special option.
Ahh you’re right all the 997.2 Turbo S were PDK.
do you have an online merch store id like to buy one of your shirts ? Subscribed great content. no 2x or 3x shirts dangit man lol big guys wear tshirts too lol js
I appreciate the support! Right now we’re solely focused on putting out good videos! We will get around to merch at some point!
The Pontiac GTO.
They are Australian Made, We call them a "Holden Commodore" the 2 door being known as a "Monaro".
All over the place in AUS.
Underrated channel!
The 1956 Buick starts with the gas pedal! Get in the car, floor the accelerator, turn the key to ON, then floor it. That's how you start them. Starter switch is on the carb (if still stock). Not Kidding.
I can’t tell if you’re trying to set me up to bang one off rev limit ice cold next time I see one or not 🤣
Yes
You have to pull BMW hood pulls 2 times to pop the hood. They will not open jut pulling them one time.
It was BMW amateur hour
6:23 I wonder if this Corvette belonged to Todd Packer...if you're a The Office fan, you'll get it. Cheers 🤘🤘
Love the videos. Could you possibly do a video on how the public could buy at these auctions with a broker or something like that? I would love to see that process
I’ll see if I can find a way to make a creative video out of it! I’ll reach out to some brokers and see if any have interest in outlining the process with me
@@scraplifegarage Do you have a contract number or information?
what is the reason for covering up the hellcat Copart windshield sticker when you can see the lot number written on the driver door window? and later when you were looking at the front end.
That was the only time I was close enough where the selling insurance company was easily read. That is what they do not want us to show.
@@scraplifegarage Roger that, that’s what I figured after typing the comment😂! Thanks for the response.
Yes it's a split bummer and that is the one everyone wants and it is a carburetor it's not E.F.I
No its a throttle body EFI. They converted it with the Sniper kit.
That red Porsche is Gorgeous even thoe it’s wrecked it’s a sexy beast
That's the truth!
Chrome bumpers = big money with the Camaro. 66-72 are the sweet years.
Didn’t start making Camaros till 1967 !
If your in NY up in Marlborough Or Newburgh You're gonna find some sweet cars
Next two videos are at Newburgh lots!
Nice alot of good cars up here
Sweet Buick
I’ll take the Porsche
Great vid bro
HA!! I guess it was the wing on the Turbo S
If I wanted to build a cheap sleeper for 40k..... Camaro SS with a supercharger?
And if u could get that old Buick cheap that would be a good buy
Something tells me it won't be cheap!
Right after the Aston Martin rapide you skipped over the Maserati levante trofeo. I don’t care for it but pretty rare, has Ferrari v8 I thinkk
There were actually THREE of them, all brand new! I did actually film a segment on them but I didn’t want this to be a 40 minute video!
Hmm, 50 likes on this comment and I’ll drop the segment as a short on this channel 🤔
*will have to confirm I didn’t delete the video after editing once I get home and will update!*
Unfortunately I did delete the raw unused footage after uploading.
The story on those 3 Trofeo’s:
They are all BRAND new with flood damage. I talked to a lot guy and he said they’ve been there forever.
There was a 4th Maserati from the same event that was taken and crushed a while back.
The white Trofeo has weeds growing into the back of it.
One had minor collision damage on the front as well, but otherwise they are your typical flood cars.
I’m not sure if these 3 will ever be sold, or will had to the crusher for reasons unknown.
@@LeeC thanks I saw in your most recent video about ghiblis and other lesser Maserati models that someone may have mentioned that. I only have an interest in the those 180k plus models which I identified due to the tricolore stripe I saw on one. Due to the fact it was a flood and couldn’t be started I agree with you skipping over. I have no interest in the v6 consumer models and just wanted to hear the Ferrari v8 which I researched and realized that it is a 3.9 in the 488 gtb Ferrari and a 3.8 producing almost 80 less hp that I was curious. Thanks for your response and please don’t show any v6 Maseratis lol.
you missed the lowered s10 lol
guards red, Turbo S 997.2. If you can slap a new tub on it wow....
So you're saying we should fix it and not cut it up for parts!?
Despite being a Brit, I am not a fan of Astons. But that 4 door V12, is massively rare 😳
That's Aston is an Aston Martin Rapide. It's fairly rare.
That bumble b is a 71 and a half rare
That was my 911 turbo S in Guards red
Sorry to see it! Shoot me an email if you don’t mind sharing details lee@leecparts.com
How much was the hellcat?
I didnt know you are aloud to walk around the yard
Maserati BBQ :)
On the M2 did you pull the bonnet latch twice ?👍
Uhhhhhh
If I said yes would you believe me?
I’m not a BMW guy obviously 🤣
@@LeeC 😆 you seem like a very honest guy but no 😆😆😆All the late BMW you have to pull twice no under bonnet latch to mess with 👍Can you guys get the F80 M3 in manual in America i have one an amazing car 👍
@@matthewwebb1045 In the interest of honesty, though I’m not sure I should admit it, I was playing with it for Atleast 30 seconds before I gave up 🫣
But thanks for the heads up! Next trip I’ll look like a bmw pro.
BMWs also have a battery safety terminal which disconnects the positive cable after an accident so the cars shouldn't be able to start either
Sold my gto last year
Had a Q50 it was alright not my favorite car I’ve owned
By the time you pay all the fees, buy the needed parts, and put in the hours, it’s not really a bargain to get a salvage vehicle.
That Z/28 with the RS Package is just tragic 😩
The infinite car how much
let’s gooooo
Bumblebee
I love your videos definitely underated but your channel is growing at a decent rate🏌️
Thank you! We'll get there!
No way man, I've wanted a red sport 400 for the longest time. Ever since I've seen one a few years ago.
Such cool cars!
@@scraplifegarage I know it man. I always the way they look. Along with the color blue that infinity uses. Unlike most cars on the street. Those cars are so unsuspecting. That almost nobody would have an idea There awd 400 hp tt animals from the factory. That can hang with, or beat. Alot of daily drivin street cars. Also is the car a 2018
Hi my name is Anthony and I'm looking for particular car is there anyway I could pay you to find a car.
With cash that is
Oh sure show me my favorite model Camaro ever and it’s wrecked.
You kept circling that car; that made dizzy
Shout out tommyfyeah
Are any of these salvage vets for sale?
All of them will be for sale at copart auction!
Fire department cuts power to battery in case of a fuel spill when there's an accident fir safety reasons.
If you came to those 2 lots your by me
That turbo is PDK....bleh, just steal the wing.
That corvette looks like a damn wagon
personally id just bring a toolset and take the trunk whose gonna stop me
Love your videos I just don’t understand why y’all pay so much for wrecked crap that why everything is priced so high new stop paying it everything will drop
The interior color kills the 997.2 Turbo - 997.1 didn't have a PDK
It’s not my favorite, but I’m not picky on a guards red!
Go for the 997.2 turbo s and send it to aim. 9 second street car with just bolt ons and meth injection to start.
You can go further too if desired just like the other 911 turbo generations.
They already have my 997.1 Turbo engine! I can't afford two 911 turbo builds!
You could also just give a Florida man some meth and he will run a 9 sec quarter as well...
Love watching your videos and projects, but I would never buy a totaled car
Bro just dis the R32😭
997.2 not mezger
That camaro made me sad
"I'm trying not to get tetanus!" Good plan. That Porsche is a real shame!
It’s only a shame if I don’t end up with it!
@@LeeC True!
Why don’t you buy cars that are taped?
We do buy them! I just don’t rip the plastic off at the auction lot, sometimes they sit for months before they go up for auction, last thing we want is for them to be full of water!
Can anyone just go to a auto auction? Or do you need something
Shots fired? 25:30 low blow for no reason
Oh there’s a reason..
@@scraplifegarage 😆 Thanks for giving me a reason to go down this rabbit hole
@@redeye2324 you’ll understand after you watch a couple videos.
Shots fired at myself 🤣
17:20 Hmm, that interior color is dreadful. I mean, it hurts my eyes and it totally doesn't match the exterior color. And, it's not a manual.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned
from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime :-(!!!!
Sounds like you live in a communist country, id say flee if you can.
For gods sake.....it's Por Sha
Not gonna happen
It's funny and shocking that you didn't know that this was a Buick.
This was my car growing up era.. You weren't there so of course you don't know this car.
Buicks were known for the holes on the sides of the car. 1955-58 were the stellar design years for the Buick but also Fords and Chevrolettes. I can't identify new cars , most look the same to me. The newer ones ALL have Giant grills in front. BIG GRILLS, BIG GRILLS, and BIG GRILLS. Did the big 4 car manufacturers all have lunch at McDonalds one day and ALL decide big was better and located in one spot. The big grill isn't anything. It shows no style, no thought and no care. Puke, puke, puke. Now I feel much better, I will move on.
You said, "Like a lot of older cars it doesn't take much to total them." I don't believe that is true/or correct. They were made out of tons of thick and heavy metal including the fenders: think TANKS. When you closed the door on the Buick it sounded like a steel vault door closing at Bank of America. Note: On the old "Jay Leno's Garage" TV show that is the car that rolls out at you as the show starts.
I loved these cars back then but then is back there and now is here.
I am NOT one of those guys that holds on to the past like the guy that says, " I want a 57 Chevy lowered to the ground like I did in high school, when I played football and all he girls loved me."
I love Porsches just like you, young man.
Not for show, not as a status symbol, just because when you drive one especially for me the older ones 1986-1998, you experience being alive, the essence of driving. Sometimes when I go into my garage I just sit in the driver seat of my '86 with the engine off - the car not moving and that is some very calming time. I love that you are stupid crazy about P-cars and drove out to the salvage yard just to see this one and how you drooled all over the rear spoiler - sick. Side note: the car behind the P-car looks like a 1954-55 MGTD which I owned when I lived on Oahu, HI in the middle 60's... a million light years ago. Part of the frame is wood, wood I say.
You were certainly on a roll with your words, observations. I love that you appear to be a junk yard dog but after hearing you talk about what you want out of life by the side of Jeff "amazon's" van you have the vision of what you want out of your life and it is happening. Not many can say that. I keep watching video after video on your channel on salvage yards (we used to call them junkyards) and am completely happy, relaxed, learning and fullfilled like I just had the best homemade chocolate milkshake in the world. Go Porsche go Scraplife..
