    I have one as well and I love it! It's like they took all of the top-notch guitar parts that's made in China and installed them in one guitar. It's like a Schecter and a Gibson had a baby. The pickups are the best generic pickups I've heard. Well worth the money IMO.

    Hey, greetings from the sunshine city, Orillia Ontario. Great to see a fellow Canadian playing with such style. Not much of a guitarist myself but like to try. I think Musi better give you that Fusion for doing such a great job demoing it. I'm sure they've sold a few after this video. Even better I think they should call it the J-MAN signature model. You seem to have taken to it pretty quickly. Musi's look to be good quality at half the price they should be. Anyway my friend enjoyed the video. Play on.

      Hey thanks for watching and reaching out! I have 2 of these. 1 needed a string tree over the E and B strings in order to get more break angle over the nut, but the other one did not. Just depends how the nut is cut. You will not need a string tree over the G&D strings. The staggered tuners add enough break angle. No problems at all.

      @@j-man9457 Glad you checked my sanity on the Parker bit... I'm comparing this with my Firefly FFTL which is all I got comparably speaking. Stainless steel frets are a key feature IMO, (on both) and the M Musis have the additional advantages of staggered locking tuners, and NO fretwork needed (FFTL had some overhanging frets to be filed, with some small areas of defects on the treble fingerboard sides where it looked like final QC might have been trying to fix those... in a rush).
      Also, dealing with Amazon for the Musi is a big plus compared with the vagueries of the same with Firefly.
      Is the Musi's Split Combo pickup position noise-canceling? That's another key detail that Firefly appears to have neglected...

      @j-man9457  Рік тому

      Hey Colonel,
      That's a tough question... although similar in design, these feel very diferent in the hands. I'm not sure (haven't measured yet) but I think the fusion's neck is slightly chunkier than the classic. Should be the opposite in my opinion. I kind of prefer the feel of the neck on the fusion and the heel joint is simply perfect. I prefer the hardtail bridge and single coil sounds of the classic and also prefer the roasted maple fretboard on the classic over the rosewood fret board on the fusion... if I could only have one, I'd probably go with the classic only because of the hard tail set up. However if I needed 1 guitar to cover a wide range of styles, the fusion would be my choice for sure with it's 8 different tone combinations!😁

    @zuperdee Рік тому

    1) I totally agree about the break angle of the high strings over the nut. No doubt they were probably hoping the staggered tuners would negate the need for string trees, but it didn’t quite work out. To be perfectly fair, it’s REALLY difficult to get a good break angle on those high strings with a 6-inline, non-angled headstock that way. The Music Man 4+2 design is the ONLY design I’ve seen to date that can simultaneously achieve both optimal break angles AND straight-line paths for all 6 strings without string trees on a non-angled headstock. Too bad Music Man’s trademark prevents others from using that design. 😔
    2) This is another AWESOME guitar! I’ve been debating whether to get this one or the Classic model. Both seem good! The “Andromeda” humbuckers on this one, while not quite twangy like the Classic model, they really do come surprisingly close to Tele/Strat sounds on the bridge/neck when the coil split is engaged! The humbucker-neck and split-bridge combination sounds especially good!

    • @j-man9457
      @j-man9457  Рік тому

      Yeah 100% agree! I don't think you can go wrong with either one. This fusion, I feel has an even better build quality than the classic. Love how the neck meets the body. Very well done. Very similar to a music man!

    • @zuperdee
      @zuperdee Рік тому

      @@j-man9457 I agree, the back of that sculpted neck heel on the Fusion model looks REALLY elegant, doesn’t it!?! I also totally get why they didn’t do this on the Classic though. The Classic is like a modern take on the traditional Telecaster, trying to bring some modern refinements like body cuts and a sculpted neck heel, while still keeping everything that makes a Telecaster truly a Telecaster. The Fusion model, by comparison, is obviously meant to be an all-out attempt to make something truly modern that can do both humbucker and single coil sounds, and that can appeal to both classic rock and country players, as well as heavier genres like metal, etc., and those that are hoping to play some of it all. My sense is that “Fusion” guitars like those being made by Musi and Harley Benton have a LOT of appeal for precisely this reason.

      @@j-man9457 Also, I definitely wouldn’t change the pickups on this one! They sound REALLY good. Maybe not EXACTLY like a true vintage Tele or Strat, but they sound good in all modes, and they seem TOTALLY appropriate for the intended Fusion concept of this guitar.
