Mac & cheese with broccoli in it. I find its quicker to just throw the broccoli in with the pasta during the last 2-3 mins of cooking. Just easier than cooking them separately.
I always make my vegetable alfredo this way with a vegetable mix of cauliflower, carrots & broccoi, drain them ; add the homemade Alfredo sauce, stir gently & well, llate it up & top eith freshly grated Parmigiano Rigiaano cheese & serve hot with fresh baked rolls. Yummy. Looming forward to trying this dish once my new lasagna pan arrives 😁❤👍❣🙋♀️

The best broccoli is Cutting your broccoli up adding olive oil little bit of salt also at Webster garlic and herb seasoning toss it put it on a cookie sheet and bake it for 20 minutes at 400°. Depending on your oven you may have to stir it it’s so delicious. My daughter doesn’t even like broccoli but she’ll eat it that way.
Tinkyada brown rice pasta is what I use. Doesn’t get mushy like Lundberg, holds its shape, and tastes great! Great substitute for those of us with allergies.
Looks delicious! Just one tip. Never ever put oil in your pasta when cooking. I know a lot of people think this keeps it from sticking, but in reality you end up with oily pasta that does not stick as well to the sauce you are adding to it.

That's basically the recipe my wife and I use for macaroni and cheese. We have put broccoli in it. But never nutmeg. And we use a lot more cheddar. Ours really is cheese and macaroni! We use 1.25 lbs of cheese (a blend of sharp & extra sharp) per lb of macaroni.
I love the recipe and the background jazz music is wonderful, the only problem is, I just made the entire recipe but now I can not see what temperature to bake it at or how long do I bake it in the oven ??? You have a strip running through where it says the time and temperature. I can barley read it but I think it says 360 deg until melted and browned on top !
I was thinking that also. But, I’ll bet you could use a butter substitute and skim milk. You could also combine a reduced fat cheese with the regular for another way to cut down on the fat in the recipe. It should still taste good. I think I’ll try it!

I always use skim milk anyway, and Ii think it has only 4 Tb butter for the entire dish. Mozzarella is a lower-fat cheese.
I would only use full fat milk and real butter. 👍
