- Been a while since I set up a Tak. Here's their GC1 Nat Classical Guitar - student quality but oh so decent, as usual!

Very nice guitars. I have a Takamine G330SB. It's almost 20 years old and it plays and sounds lovely.
I think that's a great price range, deal for that classical you have.
Taks are very reliable. Some of the older ones are treasures.
Nice classic 🎸
Cheers Daniel!
Bought one on rush store is closing, no returns allowed 😂 I hope this is a good one for beginners, my kid is learning to play.
My first choice was Yamaha C70, warm sound very cheap however the new stock was not good.. so many blemish. So I grabbed this Takamine instead- I noticed the bright sound, is it just the strings? What string can you recommend? I think they pit D’Addario here in factory. It’s missing the bass sound, but I like the sustain, you can feel it sustain a bit compared to the cheapest Yamaha CP7. Got it new $120.
They are decent for the money - but it will probably need some set up work.
Just got one and it needs a truss rod adjustment to lower the action. I'm used to the truss at the other end in my electric guitars. Do you know which direction you turn it on this one to "tighten" the neck/truss?
Same - right to straighten - left to add relief.
@@FlowforthInstruments Perfect - that was my guess so thanks!
What was the name of the German guitar, Gayway?
Gewa
This one sounds better than Yamaha c40?
Toss up methinks. Some cheap Yammies sound good.
Which one do you think is better? Takamine GC1 or Yamaha C80?
Dead heat - try them both out!
I know it is an all laminate guitar, but it sounds good to me. I know a lot of people poo poo laminate instuments, but I appreciate their durability. A solid wood instrument would crack quickly with our temperature and humidity changes.
Very true!
thanks,, can you mention what is the total length of the guitar? takamine never mentioned tat...
38" I believe
Price never makes a guitar better. Expensive guitars are more price but cheaper can always play and work just as good.
Too true!
Did you play the GC3 with top solid construction?
Yes, nice guitars.
Hey mate, try to TUNE that guitar - prior of playing it.
Mate, you're the only one complaining!
