    Love this video! Thank you. I have a similar problem with my store. We are selling a quality product for a very niche audinece in a small country for a very high price compared to the local products. Passion is still here, but we are very limited with options for example offering different promotions due to the low profit margin. Any advice?

    I think my biggest challenge has been everything I need to learn. I have my Shopify up but I really should have had high-resolution images posted. I'm in the works to replace those images and just keep at it one step at a time. My sales have always been in person. I have to learn to utilize the Shopify tools such as the blog and learn how to make videos with editing. :) I think the huge amounts of information overwhelm a lot of people and that is what leads to burn out (for some of us.)

    Started my ecom some years ago, on marketplaces ebay etc....added shopify after 2 years of messing with magento and other legacy platforms, then got pissed at shopify store for being slow and was told by my devs that its the best I can get, since it's Shopify and you can't do anything with performance unless you go to enterprise...went to wordpress for 2 years. Took 1 year of building out a site with 4 different teams, all the meanwhile paying 20% commissions to poshmark, ebay, amz etc... now going back to shopify, after starting to re-learn everything i thought i knew about ecommerce...
    when you're working in your business, it's very difficult to work on your business and take a 60000ft view of the entire landscape...oh well better late than never 😅

Sharing a product post a day on your Facebook Shop or Instagram. Then work up to Instagram Reels, UA-cam Shorts and Tiktok content. The most important part is consistency, even if it's just a post on Instagram a day, make sure it is every day! Consistent content is the key.

      Thanks for clarifying! Have you tried editing your abandoned cart email notification? You can do so by going to Settings > Notifications in your admin. Under the "Orders" section, find "Abandoned checkout" and click that. Then, on the upper right-hand side click "Edit code." You can look for your address and erase it from the "Email body" text box. If you need assistance doing this, we're also happy to help. Maybe promos and offers work for dropshipping stores. My lil online shop is my handmade jewelry and I can’t run offers like BOGO or a Flat 20% off unless during the Holidays!!! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to do this video! Hope it helps others🙌🏼

    • @learnwithshopify
      @learnwithshopify  Рік тому

      Totally understandable! Have you found any other methods that help you encourage sales? For example, many handmade businesses will hype up a product launch before it happens and give customers the date of the launch so they're ready to shop. This kind of anticipation can make a product or collection sell out quickly if you have an audience eager to buy.

      @sandandsnowjewelry Рік тому

      @@learnwithshopify yup! Do that each time I’m dropping a collection. My email subscribers get private access to the whole collection for 1 whole day before it opens to others. I also did free initials charms on orders over a particular amount during the whole month of December!!! I’m coming to think that it’s probably the market in Canada..lol
      I find a huge difference in acceptance in terms of sales for the kind of jewelry I make. Hope this changes once I move back to the States later this year :)

    I do agree that execution is a key player for the store success.
    But is having the ability to execute a skill that can be learned? Or are some people just natural in doing it?
    Personally, for me, the reason why I lost focus on managing the store I built is that I couldn't secure a payment gate in my country. Which I do consider something very fundamental to an ecommorce store.
    But hope is not lost as I am doing some research on creating LLC in the US through stripe atlas.

      @learnwithshopify  Рік тому +1

      Hi, there. If you're inquiring about payment on delivery or local bank transfers, I recommend checking out our resource on manual payment methods: bit.ly/45z2jQC. When your customers use a manual payment method, you can arrange to receive their payment in a way that works best for them. You can send an invoice to your customer. After you receive the payment, you can then manually approve the order.

      Thanks for your reply. I can definitely understand the importance of wanting to reduce the number of abandoned carts. We've listed here (bit.ly/3oFfVt1) some ways to help minimize the number of abandoned carts. You can explore simplifying the checkout, sending abandoned cart emails or starting a rewards program - just to name a few.

      Hey, Suzan. Entrepreneurship always has its ups and downs. But it's important to push through the lows to get back up. Let's try a few things to get those ramping up. I've shared some tips for you below:
      To increase your sales, consider expanding your product offerings to include different types of art, such as prints or digital downloads. Additionally, review your social media strategy to ensure that you are reaching your target audience effectively. You can do this by reviewing your hashtags and engaging with your followers. Are you posting consistently and at the right times? Consider partnering with influencers or artists in your niche to help promote your products and reach a larger audience.
      By making these adjustments and trying new strategies, you can increase your chances of making more sales and growing your business. -Rio
