- Cooking SENEGALESE Unique Food YASSA !! West Africa Onion Sauce !! Traditional Local Food in Senegal.
YASSA RECIPE
Yassa is actually a traditional Senegalese dish and the sauce can be made with other protein as well such as beef or fish.It is really one of those dishes that iI find intriguing. It is amazing how some of the onion slices practically dissolve during the cooking process while other slices remain to give some texture to the sauce. This sauce is a must try.

There's nothing wrong with where they are cooking because it is in village and moreover, they are living according to their means. Let us show love to them for supporting our brother. Orekodu❤❤❤

I am getting hooked to this channel o! Well done bro! Keep it up! Much love from Cameroon! You need to plan a trip over here, with over 500 ethnic groups, each with over 6 local meals each you can just imagine the food diversity over here! It's crazy!
Bro I was only disappointed @ 05:54 when they added Maggie. That Maggie is a killer throughout Africa it has MSG in it which causes high blood pressure. Maggie is a terrible additive that some people use. Please research the ingredients of Maggie and let’s educate our people.
@rgsporting thanks for watching and highlighting the problem at hand. I’m much aware of the maggie issue but this my people are not listening, I have been talking about it even with our local oil but they still prefer the sunflower etc. it really sad we have a lot in Africa but they still using what outside
My bro, I appreciate what you are doing, you have a great channel and now I’m aware that you mention healthy alternatives I understand that you are making a difference.
@@cookingwithsindacoI'm trying hard to cut down on Maggie, rarely used in my cooking, and when used just one cube. 😊I am learning to gain flavors from natural spices and vegetables.
I dunno anything about Maggie, but just wanted to reply on the msg claim. MSG is not dangerous at all. It's just salt. If you add MSG, just reduce the salt you use. (obviously for people with high blood pressure they need to reduce all salt intake).
Countless studies have debunked the early 90's BS about MSG being unhealthy (that stemmed from anti Asian bigotry, especially in Europe)
@@danielhabibian9420 hey man you saying a synthetic food additive is not dangerous at all is an irresponsible statement. Most of these products contain the synthetic glutamate not the natural glutamate which can be found in seaweed etc.. you said you don’t know Maggie so it’s probably best if you didn’t comment. For your information in Africa companies sellers are importing mostly synthetics food additives and processed foods. All of which are extremely unhealthy.
This is beautiful. I am an African in America who has never visited the Motherland. Watching this made me feel an indescribable homesickness. These people have a wealth that the rest of us cannot fathom.
Indeed

Saly is nice, I stayed at African theodssues house. The guest house food was hard and nasty. I ordered Chicken yassa.Was.during Ramadan and I couldn't find food places. SMH. I ate at KFC in Mbour. The best local food I ate was at the beach. She charged me extra for a big piece of fish than what was on the menu. I liked Senegal more than Gambia
