That’s the reason I got the album cover writing tatted on. Same with the red BAD Logo. It’s a shame what Sony did to Mike smh. Ran him over cause he was about to leave them OWNING 50% of Sony.🤦🏼♀️
Invincible was way ahead its time. No matter how much they may try to ignore or underestimate such a masterpiece. The true art, the pure talent will always find a way to flow through hearts.
me too, no band can make me as emotional as michael jackson does. Sony Music ought to hang their heads in shame for not promoting this album and booking the world tour for it, they wanted michael to sell more of his 50/50 shares in the label and he wouldn't give in, so they didnt back him. Thats why only 2 songs off the album had a video, sony ceased work on all the marketing and tour etc.
Little wholesome fact about You Are My Life: Michael decicated this song to his kids. He really loved them with his whole heart. I can't help but cry whenever I listen to this song.
The whole album eats.... 1. Brandy does background vocals and harmonies there on the opening track 2. Heartbreaker introduced dubstep before it became a thing 3. Heaven Can Wait, is fucking superb RnB cut, "Youre not alone" on steroids 4. 2000 Watts had Tyrese Gibson fingerprints all over there 5. The last track "Threatened" is bad ass, Rod Sterling's lines being manipulated into a rap is genius move, i believe he was thinly dissing anyone who was out to ruin Mike (namely, Tommy Mottola, the media and accusers) The last detail you should took notice was the default album cover, which you notice the pixel effect on the left eyebrow, which symbolised being ahead of time in terms of the millennium sound (dubstep, electronica) and the right side represents his softer side, in form of ballads. There'll never be another Micheal Jackson, given the fact it was his tenth and final album before his death.
Yep! MJ said himself that people won't get the sounds on this album for 10 years! Then lets Introduce Skrillex just over 10 years later! Pure Glitch and Dubstep! MJ was way ahead!
Funny cause Tyrese wrote and produced 2,000watts for his own album self titled and was gonna include it but his record label didn’t like it so Mj added it
In Privacy when he sings "some of you still wonder why, one of my friends had to die...my friend was chased and confused" he was talking about Lady Diana. Best album ever, period. 🔥
i now love it, having sat down and properly listened. Only issue is i think some songs were too long and actually didnt need to. Like Oasis album Be Here Now, top songs, too long, peace!
With the song Heartbreaker Michael was first artist to actually bring the dubstep onto mainstream 10 years before it was actually popular. Always ahead of the others.

A few background details/contexts about this album for the Gen Z'ers and some Millenials... 1. This was supposed to be Mike's big comeback album, following all of the drama he experienced throughout the 90s. 2. Mike wanted the album to be very futuristic (like the first few tracks were). His label president Tommy Mattolla (a very powerful guy in the music biz) wanted the sound to be more like his "Off The Wall " & "Thriller" eras. They fought a bunch about it. 3. Most industry insiders believe that this album was purposely sabatoged, due to his differences with Tommy. Most critics said the album was terrible (some were paid to rank it low), and the label stopped promoting it almost immediately after it came out. Mariah Carey (Tommy's then-ex-wife) later said Tommy was physically and mentally abusive; and did the same thing was to her). 4. The producer and songwriters he was working with for this album, were also working on Brandy's "Full Moon" album at the same time. Brandy does background vocals on some of the songs & Mike did some ad-libs on Brandy's song "It's Not Worth It". 5. Mike did not want anyone to know who the writers & producers were on the album. He wanted people to hear them, but not know it. He wanted the focus to be the songs and sounds (like a movie soundtrack), and not who was on it. The label disagreed greatly, and were trying force him & the producers to add collaborators. So, his way around it was to use a then-unheard Biggie verse (Biggie was dead); Fats (a rapper no one knew) doing the raps; & Brandy, Marsha (from Floetry), Tyrese, and songwriter LaShawn Daniels all secretly adding background vocals on different songs; and Teddy Riley adding sounds in the background (but keeping is hush). The only way you knew who was on it, is you'd have to read the album booklet. All the features were aware that they wouldn't be publicly mentioned. When the label found out, they started beefing with Mike. 6. As a songwriter, Mike preferred writing ballads. That's why the second half of the album is so ballad heavy.
I listened to this album so much back then it never occurred to me that it was a flop. I remember people saying it was a flop, but it sold 10 million copies. For Michael, that's considered a flop--but considering the drama and controversy from the previous decade--it seemed reasonable to me. But reading your comments--GAWD.

this album was around the time his relationship with Lisa Marie Presley came to an end, for anyone who knows about their relationship its extremely obvious who a lot of these songs were directed to. Lisa,. and a lot of the songs Lisa recorded where about Michael. A lot of people feel it wasn't a proper relationship, but it was and very deep. You Rock My World, Break of Dawn, Dont Walk away, Whatever Happens, Heartbreaker
I suggest that you learn the truth about the relationship with Lisa Marie before you write about it and there are people who know the truth and I suggest you look at the clip from A Current Affair, information about the attempted union that was done in the Dominican Republic because their attempted union was not legal and had that attempted union been legal Lisa Marie would have gone to jail for bigamy. The United States only recognized her marriage to Danny Keough, the father of her two children (Riley and Benjamin) Lisa Marie later married a musician from the UK and he now has full custody of their twin daughters.
@@michymabelle1965 What I have said is documented and I'm only telling the truth and where to go and look at it. I have also seen the handwritten note Michael wrote to Lisa Marie that she turned over to the bankruptcy court and the reporter who it posted in his article telling the documented truth. Michael wrote why he was filing to annul the marriage. Michael had no further contact with Lisa Marie. It's up to you to know the truth. Have a Blessed Day.

Love your reaction to this truly underated Masterpiece. It is sad how the record company did nothing to support or promote this gem. But, it's ppl like you who spread the word with your reaction videos, because now, finally, MJ's Invincible can reach the masses, especially those who never heard the album and the countless others, sill, who are only now discovering the King Of Pop. Long live the KING!!!
Sales wise it’s his worst album. Few weeks after the release of that album MJ decided to leave Sony and Sony didn’t like that bc Mj generated more than 1B dollars for them so sony decided to sabotage this albums so they decided to stop the promotion and production. They were literally beefing like you never seen before many people even believe that Sony was behind MJ death but that’s different story but this is why the album is not big like off the wall, thriller ect but before they sabotage everything this album was number 1 WORLDWIDE except US like I said it’s his worst album but remember his worst album sold more than some artist most successful album. MJ was just different
Everyone knows that when Mike realease new albums, they're worth a lot, and his sales wouldn't be in the low range. Sony are absolutely disgusting for what they did 😤
I love invincible. It really does show Michael jackson the man. Especially tracks like "Break of Dawn or Heaven Can Wait" he took "i just can't stop loving you" and went deeper. And he talks all kinds of things.his family his power his money
The best album ever made. Bought it on the first day it came out in November 2001 and had to buy 6 new copies as the cd has worn out. What a masterpiece .
Futuristic sound effects from another dimension! Those who understand, understand! Or should I say those who feel and know! YRMW and Invincible are the best tracks followed by Heartbreaker, 2000 Watts and Threatened, Cry, Lost Children, Speechless … ok the entire album 💿
Michael will be loving your reaction and it will be giving him the feels too sir!!!!!!!!! Its the first time iv sat and listened through the whole album, and now I appreciate it more than I should have, thanks man!!!!!! gerard
Whatever Happens, Butterflies, All The Lost Children, Unbreakable...okay ..all of it. This is by FAR, my favorite Michael Jackson album. It's incredible! ALSO, as far as The Jackson 5...the "Looking Through The Windows" album was my favorite as a kid and still is at 64!❤🔥❤️🔥🔥👋🏾

invincible is my forever favourite album of mike j! he’s a music genius and this is why he’s the king of pop!
I couldn’t agree more with you, this song is urghhh can’t explain it, MAGICAL 🤌🏾✨
There are stars , then there is MR. JACKSON the King of music. The best showman every to do it. Da GOAT Da Great Goat...
Sony are absolutely disgusting for what they did 😤
It sold more then thriller out the gate
Invincible hit number 1 in the US too, not just worldwide

King of Music
My favourite album after history, much love from uganda
The feeling and voice in "Butterflies" are in another level . God Level 4 sure. That song make me cry everytime i hear it. Super underrated.
your passionate reaction brings tears to my eyes.
You hit it right on the head
I love invincible. It really does show Michael jackson the man. Especially tracks like "Break of Dawn or Heaven Can Wait" he took "i just can't stop loving you" and went deeper.
And he talks all kinds of things.his family his power his money
The best album ever made. Bought it on the first day it came out in November 2001 and had to buy 6 new copies as the cd has worn out. What a masterpiece .
Did you buy them in all colors?
I really enjoyed the whole album as I relistened to it with you. I especially enjoyed Speechless and Privacy. God goosebumps.
Thank You He Sure Did touch the Hearts 💕🥰
this my favorite album out of all his lol . so glad you were able to listen and enjoyed 😊 !
Im taking notes 😂. Oh, I love you man, you made my day 😂. And Yes, Mike was, and still is Invincible!
Thank you love MJ ❤️ and love your reaction to Michael ❤️
This album should be played all over the radio so people who wouldn’t think to listen to it would be exposed to it!
It’s funny how it’s his most underrated album and still sold millions along with 2 #1s I think…incredible
Futuristic sound effects from another dimension! Those who understand, understand! Or should I say those who feel and know! YRMW and Invincible are the best tracks followed by Heartbreaker, 2000 Watts and Threatened, Cry, Lost Children, Speechless … ok the entire album 💿
This album takes you on a quest into your heart
💯 👌🏾
Whanether Happens and The lost Children are SO underrated!!! It's criminal that these songs are not better known by the public in general 🥲
He was a lover ,not a fighter. Beautiful 😍
Michael will be loving your reaction and it will be giving him the feels too sir!!!!!!!!!
Its the first time iv sat and listened through the whole album, and now I appreciate it more than I should have, thanks man!!!!!! gerard
Masterpiece❤❤❤
i agree, but i think some songs were a little too long, but ive rediscovered it now with his reaction, and wow , love it
I absolutely love "Cry". Inspirational and uplifting. 🤍
One of his best choral songs
Unbreakable I LOVEEEEEEE
The best Michael Jackson is ever
I am not surprised invincible went platinum, but if Sony put more energy behind the marketing it would have been bigger.
That sigh in butterflies- just ugh
Whatever Happens, Butterflies, All The Lost Children, Unbreakable...okay
..all of it. This is by FAR, my favorite Michael Jackson album. It's incredible! ALSO, as far as The Jackson 5...the "Looking Through The Windows" album was my favorite as a kid and still is at 64!❤🔥❤️🔥🔥👋🏾
Thank you for doing this. Don't sleep on History!
Man, I just love this album ❤
Unbreakable....Wow! How did i miss that track?
It should've been promoted as a single. Too few singles from Invincible.
@@MichaelJosephJackson02all bc Sony Music is the devil
He still gives me chills.❤
I'm so happy that we are here listening to this gifted man's offering years after his death. This album is a wonderful experience.
