Driving a slow car fast is WAY more fun than a fast car slow. I recently sold my e90 M3 ZCP that wasn't that fun around town. That's why I enjoyed about my e36 so much.
I got mine like a year ago it’s an 05. So much fun to drive. Head turner. Mine has full alcantara interior seats as well. They designed the car for a good time to drive. The steering the handling the shifting the revs the power band the interior design you can tell it’s all very well thought out to make driving this thing just fun period. I’ll be on the highway and I’ll see tight turns coming and I won’t brake I take my foot off the gas ..measure it right and it just huggggssssssss the fucking turn . Without hitting the gas I’ll look at my rear view and everyone is just way back because they all slowed down for the turn lol . Sometimes I want to sell it because I know I’ll get good $ for it but I’ll drive it and be like oh yeah nah deff not selling this thing.
I own a 6-spd ZHP. I'm planning to convert it to an S54 swap and suspension. If I was going to use this car for a daily driver, I would keep the M54B30 in it. No need to "upgrade".
When mentioning the upgrades, what was it you said after the K&N cold air intake and the carbon fiber strut brace? I can’t quite make out what you said and I’d like to know because I just bought one of these, an ‘06.

@@DMartCHS euro cars had different ECU for higher octane fuel as 95 octane is min for EU. An EU car doesn't need the ZHP pack. Most will produce 210hp at the wheels bone stock.
Forgive me but you genuinely have your facts very wrong. I own two e46 coupes. A 323 & a 330. The M3 is over a second quicker to sixty than the 330. As you will have noticed it pulls like a train once hitting 4000rpm. Also if you drive the car your in in manual it will change up at red line
The M3 is very slow regardless, even if it’s faster than this. Wasn’t my point, my point was it’s just as much fun as a M3 regardless of having 100 less horsepower.
I own 3 E46s. So that means I know more than you I guess. LOL There's not too much difference between the M54B30 and the S54. It's just like the US 240HP E36 M3 vs the Euro 286/321HP counterparts. 0-60 MPH were essentially the same. 1/4-mile times weren't that much different. Most people won't notice much of a difference. At the end of the day, the displacements are so close, most driving situations are going to be essentially the same experience.
@@christopherriley1187Delusion? Lol I actually track my cars. I'll post a video of my ZHP vs an E46 M3. 0-60 MPH and 1/4 mile races. I'm even hoping to get videos of them against each other at a track. Will probably be at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia.
@@andydhillon1977 Have you ever driven a healthy S54? There's a literal abyss in performance, feel and character between an M54B30 and an S54B32. Sure, below 4000 rpm they're quite similar, they have very close displacement and thus provide very similar low end torque - but above 4000, once the S54 comes on cam, it just pulls leagues ahead. And sounds so much better too. I deeply disagree with your point. 0-60 times might be similar but that's it. The E46 M3 is a completely different animal than any ZHP or any 330i for that fact. Similar story with the US E36 M3. The only aspect the Euro S50 has to envy from the US S52 is the reliability and relative simplicity of the single-vanos engine. Any ZHP owner trying to justify any semblance of closeness in real-world performance and character between their car and an M3 is completely delusional.
the way you smack that gas pedal and the way i love my 320 m54 engine AT have to say that even though you have driven 5 or 600 hp cars, you haven't driven enough, or just dont know how to drive. Before smacking the gas pedal you did it several times, you dind't let the trans to put it self into a gear and i am sure you felt it , it kicks you and this kick may cause really big troubles to the trans like not wanting to shift by it self or you it cant put it self into a gear. you have to be really gentle even before a race which is stupid to race or even burnout with this kind of trans. If you want to go in fast corners or drive like crazy , get a manual but if you want to keep the trans healthy and not let your stupid driving ruin the car and drive even a million kilometers , get a automatic. And about the ,, Transsimision TunE'' my car is BONE-STOCK and when is put in sport mode it shifts the same as this 330i. Man you have to be gentle with such great cars.

Love the e46 ZHP. I’ve owned mine since 2007 and can’t get rid of it.
Most people I talk to only have great things to say about these!
I just bought my ZHP. it's a 2003 model year with a 6 speed manual. Very excited to get it when it arrives in a few days.
I have a 2003 in Jet Black with a 6 speed as well! I’ve owned since 2011, you will love it! Congrats!

One of the best vehicles for 10 -15K, you should do a night pov
I agree! Coming soon
The best car I have owned.
Fun fun fun and reliable.
Highly agree, very reliable for being a BMW haha

Stock ZHP for daily is perfect, they’re super reliable. One day I’d love to swap a wagon E46 with all the M3 bits

Is that what would be called a clubsport in Europe?
