You could have used watering using a filled bucket at a height and a rope from the bucket into the pot. There are many videos on youtube regarding how to water plants during vacation.

To be honest, I've been watching this channel for the person in the videos, not the content. Yes, his English wasn't perfect, and this narrator isn't half bad, but it isn't the same. The quality is really good, I am sure new people will enjoy it, but for me, as a original subscriber, it feels like a different channel. The videos before felt like something made purely out of passion, just a guy doing his best.
