I picked up a G Shock casioak a while back and it’s been my only watch since. I bought it on a trip with my daughter and every time I look at it I’m reminded of that trip
I also got a green casio g shock when ever I look at it it reminds me of all the camps and trips I've been on or the thing I've experienced it's always working and very reliable
I've got several G-shocks that cover different jobs (gym, work, outdoor stuff, etc.).
Great, inexpensive watches that can take abuse. And you don't have to use your phone like an "old timey pocket watch"
Same here. I hate flashy watches and I hate smart watches lol
The item that changed my carry the most is a small pouch. Ever since then it's my wallet and holds my flashlight, mini champ, headphones and chapstick and fits in the front pocket perfectly
What make and model of pouch did you get? I'm on the fence about getting one.
@@Shannon_RobbieI use the maxpedition micro and love it! It probably won’t fit well if your pockets are really small though.
@@Shannon_Robbiesomehow all too big for Front Pocket
@@Shannon_Robbie dude doesn't want to share
@@Shannon_Robbiehave you gotten one? I just picked up the Alpaka gear zip pouch pro, seen good reviews about it
People ask me why I always carry a flashlight, and my answer is always the same. I can’t see in the dark 😅
I don't get why people hate on EDC lights. I've used my Streamlight WAY more than my knife-- once even to find my black phone, lost in a rental car with black interior.
If I had been relying on my phone as my flashlight, I'd have been screwed 😆
each and every phone got a flashlight, just at your information 😂
@@suk4ed No shit
@@suk4ed Unless it's your phone you're looking for-- Then you're just screwed
Leatherman arc is just too fancy and costly to be practical for me. When a tool gets too expensive, I’ll definitely second guess using it. And a tool I’m not comfortable using just isn’t an ideal carry in my opinion.
agreed, plus there are clones of decent quality for much less
You have a point. I carried a Gerber until someone at work broke it. After that i carried a Ozark multi tool and a screwdriver to work. I love multi tools but they were disposable
If I was going with a high end multitool I’d get an Charge+ Tti before even considering the ARC. Very similar tools smaller form factor (to me it looks cooler) and it’s less expensive by around 50-60 dollars
Totally agree. Stupidly expensive.
My edc carry pistol used to be the Glock 19. When I moved into a very rural home I changed my pistol to the 4 inch S&W 29. I tend to see more bears on my property than people.
I just recently picked up the Leatherman Arc and I absolutely love it.. it has replaced a pocket knife for me which is a bit of a bummer because there are still pocket knives that I’m interested in but I don’t want to carry an extra pocket knife when really the blade on the arc is incredibly sharp and extremely capable. I have no complaints about the Arc, it’s everything I would want or need in a multi tool and it’s exactly what I wanted, I was holding out from the p4 because i was really hoping they’d come out with something with the free technology featuring a bit driver and the arc just ticked all of the boxes for what I envisioned a perfect multi tool to offer. I highly recommend the Arc to anyone interested in carrying a multi tool.
To answer the permanent change question: No more multitool. I carry a small Knipex pliers, key ring Victinox Rambler in a small leather wallet. For about 2 years now, a large black binder style paperclip for my wallet and whatever folding knife for my "flavor of the day" have been there. . Currently trialing a reversable micro bit driver a set of 4 small torx bits. Thinking of adding a couple of small zip ties. I work in a factory for a living though...
Try cutting a metal coat hanger with your Arc and see if it chips your wire cutters. Been happening very often on the new Arc cutters
I cut some wire on a chainlink fence and the cutters were fine on my arc
Been an issue with leatherman wire cutters for about a year since they changed the design. Sounds like they’re going back to the old wire cutters.
The four items I have on me at all times:
1) Knives
2) A good quality, very bright flashlight
3) A multitool or more capable SAK
4) A duct tape wrapped cigarette lighter
I as a excavator/foundation drill mechanic carry a leatherman signal and an extra set of bits, LIFE-CHANGER
A heart stent at 54 changed my EDC. My keychain now has a Titaner pill case that holds nitro glycerin. It’s just a precaution as I’m fit and have 0 unhealthy risk factors. Just bad genes one would suppose. Get a baseline at a cardiologist guys. I was hiking in Alaska when my symptoms hit. No warning. 😂 no red meat, no drinking, no smoking, no drugs…maybe all of that would have helped. 😅
45... Guess I'll get problems sooner or later. My father and grandfather both went due to heart failure. But when I drop, I drop. Aside from my mother no one would really care anyway.
I changed my carry too - I carry more money now since i stop buying edc stuff.
lol
But…but…how do you keep up with the ‘gram and not buy things like a little kid with money then? Impossible
@@MotoNoir86 self control
After carrying the skeletool for years, I decided the new Arc was worth the upgrade, so it's earned a permanent spot in my pocket as well. But your Bum Bag has been the biggest change to my edc. It goes with me everywhere and has proven quite handy for me.
50 cent pocket notebook. Slowly replacing my phone.
From where?
@@luke2272any craft store like hobby lobby dollar tree etc
Physical note books are awesome-- I've used several types over the years, including cheap spirals from the $ store. If you can't text bc you don't have their #, it's WAY easier to leave them a note. 😏
A small FLASHLIGHT 🔦 on my Keychain.... to me comes in super handy!
Garmin instinct 2x solar. Built in flash in the watch. Absolute game changer.
Yes! I started carrying my own kiridashi and it’s pretty cool. Very useful. Small fixed blades FTW!!💯
Leatherman Arc and a custom fixed blade from a local maker - big changes
The Blue Ridge Overland Bum bag has changed my edc completely. Having a pouch small enough to put everything I need inside and just toss it in my truck on the go has been a lifesaver. If only the Organized that goes down in it would restock!
There in stock now. Ordered last week and I live on the west coast and received my organizers yesterday.
Yea one thing that changed my EDC is the Houghton Era Outdoors Kermit, its a fixed blade but its very comfortable and i never feel it in my pocket 👍
I changed from the wave to the arc
It's old news now, but I switched to a Para 2 by spyderco. I love it. I also now wear a small neck knife
Knipex wrench pliers. The smallest size is 7" overall. This is fine for my pockets.
I can not break them. I put on a cheater bar, then went to getting my lifetime warranties worth.
Slid on an 18" long, 1" opening wrench as a cheater bar. Stood on it, beat the fun out of the pliers while I stood atop the cheater bar.
Rest assured, knipex has plenty of margin at their price point.
$40 non-marring pliers, that can break grade#5 3/8" bolts without deforming.
Tbh my EDC is always changing I never have anything set ..one week I'm feeling this abd the next week I want that. So my gear is always changing and I've spent a pretty penny to have variety in my gear and that's what I'm going for
Ever since I purchased a used Leatherman at a garage sale years ago, I've always had a multi tool on my hip. Sure, I've made an upgrade or two over the years, but as long as I'm wearing a belt, I have a set of tools ready to go, and it has saved my and other people's butts MANY times over.
what model and brand is the leather wallet?
As part of my edc I carry my flipstick cane and my ul poncho from wilderness innovations and the poncho comes clear down to my ankles and amazingly they both fit in my propper usmc assault pouch. It's really nice to be able to have a seat and be able to be protected from getting soaked everywhere I go.
Down to your ankles? Get real - unless you’re 3’6” tall.
@@chrishamilton2527 they sell ponchos in different sizes.
@@chrishamilton2527 it's unfortunate that you're not smart enough to look up the different sizes of ponchos that they sell instead of claiming I'm wrong.
My biggest change was d switching back to carrying a slip joint as a secondary knife along with a primary folder. Currently it’s a McNees Mac 2 3.5 and a Jack Wolf big bro Jack. The big bro honestly gets more cutting time than the primary. It’s hard to beat the walk and talk that Ben gets from his slips. They make the kicks perfect for amazing acoustics.
The Victorinox Midnite Manager became a permanent item in my EDC. It is small but mighty and I use it at least 3-4 times every day.
5.11 EDC 2xAAA flashlight. Slim profile that fits in my dress pants and now I have them in every color. Could be self defense tool in a pinch considering i go into jails and court a lot.
I carry a lumintop keychain torch on my keys along with a victorinox champ swiss army knife. This covers me for 99% of edc tasks. No need to be carrying around any other unnecessary junk.
Fixed blades changed my edc.
I was carying a folding blade and a multitool. And i decided there was no reason to have both, so i just used the multitool. It worked for all my folding knife uses, but there were some cases where i needed something more robust, so i got a fixed blade. Cant go back now 😂
Never gonna have a knife fold on my fingers when cutting Amazon's aweful tape ever again (the wierd stringy tape. Not sure what y'all have in the US)
The arc changed my carry completely
Upgraded to The Vertex basecamp Backpack with all Maxpedtion attachments for my p226, Surefireflashlight, Mircrotech OTF, Sebenza (Maxpedtion is light years ahead of the Vertex tactigami). The Orbit key has made me go from a janitor to a tactical civilian. I also use the orbit key nest to keep important stuff and has nice holder for my Microtech Pen. Costly but worth every penny to stay organised as I carry an abundance of stuff.
How did my EDC change? Threats of violence obligated me to carry a belt mounted fixed-blade.
The Arc has changed my carry as well
Bellroy 6 liter venture sling, I bought it as a travel bag and now I'm a nerd with a man purse. That being said I'm no longer forced to wear pants with pockets. I can edc full-size flashlights, battery banks, game consoles like a psp, a pocket notebook, sunglasses, lighter, advil, a slingshot with ammo, a silke gomboy saw if I feel like it. There's a reason indiana Jones carried a satchel
My key clip is now a Gamblemade Mini-D. I love this thing so much.
Surefire Aviator White/Amber. It’s SO good, saving your natural night vision is highly underrated. Also, candela > lumens.
Changed from carrying a Mini Maglite to an Acebeam x1 AA.
Most impactful item in my EDC? The X47 Uno1 wallet. Had those rather cheap Oakley style velcro wallets before that. Only because they were flat. Once I discovered the X47 (they make outstanding paper planners as well), I fell in love and went from rear carry to front carry. The leather is sublime, there's a pen slot and a nice big fold out area for your coins so you don't need to dig around. I started using those around 2012 I believe and am now on my 2nd or 3rd.
I just bought my 1st fixed blade. I might buy more. Thanx
Yes the Olight arkfeld pro! Got it and Is my fav piece!
When you said you got a new knife i was like *of course* hahaha
Leatherman squirt PS4. Absolute game changer for the jeans watch pocket. 👌 So much utility for the size.
Put a laser on my .40 Sig, needed a new CC holster
Review on the Wuben X3...?
Switch back to Casio and G-Shock watches from the Apple Watch was the best EDC decision I’ve ever made. The Apple Watch is barely useful as a vitals monitoring device. And I always have my phone if I need it. Highly overrated for most people.
A pocket organizer is what changed in my EDC this month. I also started carrying a utility knife by Oknife. I blame you!
Yeah, my SOG Powerpint to similar but black...
Here's the thing that changed my EDC forever, my budget.
Ever since i started buying rockclimbing stuff... Its changed my EDC
My EDC change is that don't carry my Leatherman PS4 multi-tool anymore. I now carry the $6 dollar Cabela's multi-tool everyday. It is much stronger and better quality.
I just got down to what I need. Knife.. metal match.. cotton with Vaseline..flash light… 550 belt …
Chucked out my surefire for a streamlight. No regrets!
The UltiClip 3+
That question at the end reminds me of that everlasting discussion bout EDC are items you carry EVERY day. So, for me there is not ONE knife that I carry every day. But I carry a knife every day. So the term EDC for me is not meant to be related on one specific item, more related to the sort of tool I carry. EDC does not mean to be determinated on a specific item...
The Victorinox Midnight Manager@Work. All my daily needs (blade, thumb drive, bottle opener, tooth pick) in a package smaller than my thumb. Ok, the flashlight sucks and there was no clip available, so I bought a RovyVon Aurora A8 and comissioned Cuscadi to build some custom Micarta scales. Since then, my essential gear is my AppleWatch (payment, telecommunication, music), Airpods, my OrbitKey, a Fisher Bullet Pen and said tools. Yeah, I am living in an urban environment 😉
I swapped out my Leatherman Free P4 for a Victorinox Swiss Tool. Lighter in weight and slimmer, it just fits easily in the pocket.
Docs custom cutlery sparrow hawk, forged in NC, have to get the multi clip now to pocket carry
Milwaukee Fastback 6 in 1
if you do any kind of handy work or construction type work that thing is the most useful EDC ever plus you get a fresh blade in 4 seconds. Honestly even as a self defense knife it is crazy effective.
I switched out a (too large) hip carry fixed blade to a small fixed blade CRKT neck knife and a holster hip carry Rangergrip 79 SAK. Very discreet, now and the SAK gives me options I didn’t have before.
The economy has forced my carry NOT to change-- for a while now
*smirk 😏
The ease of flip on the leatherman arc really reminds me of the sog powerlock not so much for the tools but for the plier opening I'm really tossing the idea of getting one back and forth I'm still stuck on my trusty wave plus
Instead of carrying a pocket knife plus a multitool I used a armbar style multitool as my primary edc knife because dual purpose, and I also started carrying a fixed blade edc knife and a self defense knife on my weak side. I still got my ccw steam light weapon light and flashlight but I'm trying to switch over to a trayvax bifold so I can carry a bit of cash on me easier than I can now.
Yeah, I think my Jacob & Co tourbillion had definitely charged how I Think about EDC
I got a DSI and moded it so I swapped it with my DS Lite and i swapped my generic pen with a utility pen with a flashlight and screwdriver pen
No powerpint anymore?
i have gotten a belt multitool organizer. really like it.
Snakestaff ETQ with the Guerilla Tactical ECS. Makes it easier than ever to carry a tourniquet.
Went from a normal knife to a Kershaw launch 18 auto
The Knipex xs cobra changed my edc. I replaced my in pocket Leatherman Wave for a Victorinox Climber and the Knipex. It's lighter, cheaper and fits my needs (loosening, tightening bolts) more.
Carrying the X3? I love it. Mine is on the shoulder strap of my sling and it's perfect there. And the item that changed my carry is the dp leather pocket organizer. It is the nutz!
When I got my CRK Large Sebenza 31 in Magnacut, it never comes out of my pocket. I used to switch knives daily. Also the ASK I started carrying 2 years ago is everyday.
Skeletool CX and Dango wallet with notebook and pen. I don't think these will ever leave my edc.
This was only about the leather man arc this guy is a billboard for bigidesign
Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro changed my carry forever. I can’t even look at other wallets anymore
My Victorinox multi tool has changed my life! (And outlook on multi tools that use to be to bulky and heavy)!
Dude… how do you get the magnacut to pop like that on your Arc!
Can leatherman Arc omit a knife from an edc? Is the blade on it that good?
I've always been a big olight fan but I got a streamlight wedge about 3ish months ago and it hasn't left my pocket
A pistola will completely rearrange your pocket priorities. TQ >>> multi tool once you understand how they work and that you mostly use the multi tool for the scissors that an sak can do better
Yes. Recently spent $500 on a sick custom PM2, so so pleased with it, imma still use my other knives but 9 times outta 10, it's my edc
Whats the knife on the second slide?
Biggest change was switching to a super minimal wallet. A one pocket wallet. Removed all cards that have a version that can live on my phone.
I don't carry a clunky Leatherman. Game changer!!
Very recently giving my Trayvax Summit Notebook wallet (1.0) a rest and switching to a Scudo Switch. I am quite impressed by the quality and how comfortably it fits in my pocket.
The EDC Community is sleeping on SCUDO. I just upgraded from a switch to an S7.
Flashlight pivoting and knife out of pocket is rad af, tho
what is the name of the green knife?
Only part of my EDC that's changed is how I carry my Leatherman Surge.
My EDC: Phone, wallet, 2 knives, 1 mask.
Swiss champ the og
And a daily custom ak1 for years
When does that knife come out and does it come with that sheath with the clip?
I got a lynch nw pribar and its been way more handy then i thought it would be
That green knife at the beginning is beautiful. What's the make and model?
How do you carry the x3
Once i went titanium...i never went back to stainless steel, or wood items. Now, im about to do the same with carbon fiber.
CF isn't great for tools
@Yielar1 - I meant knives..but that's good to know...I hadn't thought of CF on tools...that makes sense
Olight arkfeld pro
Spyderco enuff 2 in k390
Since I have it I sold all my knifes 😅
I changed from a Sig 365 XMacro comp to a Staccato C2.
