Yes! more long intro AND outro playing! - makes one happy to be a gentleman :)
one of the greatest intros. Always a pleasure to hear you play, and the timing for the theme song was almost spotless.
love you guys, always.
Well that has to be your best intro so far
I commented this before Adam said it either had to be the best or worst
"attitude of gratitude"
i love being a gentle man and agreeing to things
More playing please guys! Great to hear you, lovely intro
That jam was absolutely killer no filler.
Love it guys. As ever you speak the real truth of what we’re all trying to do within Jazz. Keep putting out killer discussions and content. Best wishes from a likeminded bassist/educator. Much love to you all, keep inspiring and pushing the message. P.s Brian rules!
LOVE Brian Blade. Seeing him play and hearing his music is never short of life changing. One of my favorite musicians, thank you for sharing!
What a great episode - that phase shifting stuff at the beginning is so cool
Some grown men playing right here…good stuff, men 👍🏾
Good discussion guys. It's great that these days the psychological attitude stuff is talked about rather than just nuts and bolts information. When I first started playing jazz around 1980, there was nothing in the mainstream about it at all, and early on I knew there was something important there. For a long time, especially since Effortless Mastery came out in the late 90's, I've been very interested in it. Adam summarised it nicely when he said he's more interested in the process than the result. Thank you
Service !! Perfect word for musicians. You bring us the word and it’s connections !! Nice to hear you guys play. So fun, exploratory, and fine. Great wit extended in your music. Bravo !!
Adam's rhodes solo at 0:42 really sounds like someone scatting, he brings out the 'be-bop' sound of the Rhodes bell
so good to hear you jam together! i missed that.
What a fabulous episode! Thankyou so much.
Wonderful discussion! Gratitude and Service informing the bedrock of musical endeavor...love it.
I thumbed it up for the intro alone! Thank you, guys ... I'm still cheshire grinning :D
that intro was ill'n! i love that song, bros! we need to hear all that pls!
Beautiful discussion. Playing was awesome. Love. We don't need no sustain pedal! Love you guys!
Beautiful episode. I've really got nothing to add, but silence is deafening to that algorithm!🤣
I love the dialogue for this podcast. (Adam) 9:08
It's always about the music, and the music will always be bigger than any of us.
Letting go of the EGO? YES!!! 100%
Ego comes in many forms, not only from our perceptions of ourselves... but also from judging others.
Adam, you touched on a few gems that I also feel strongly about.
As you know I'm always posting content on FB and Insta. It's never from a place of "hey check me out." lol On the contrary, it's always been from a place of - "I know so many amazing pianists (i.e you and Peter etc) might see this. I can either live in fear of not feeling good about my playing, or I can show the world my weaknesses and vulnerabilities, what I'm passionate about, what I'm working on and grow from that."
I know my strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully whenever it's time to PLAY, I pray for a peaceful mind so that the only "noise" in my head is JOY, and connection with those around me.
I wish you all the same!
Elia
Def give us more playing. And don't plan anything! I'm pretty sure that we ALL love this, no matter what happens. 😊
Thanks - great info. Loved the playing! I *did* miss the live show on Mondays.
Great episode. Love the playing. Fell in love with this podcast partly because of the always sound advice and inspiration, and partly because of the outstanding musical examples and playing. Keep it up, guys!
That intro was sweet
I loved the intro, guys.
GREATEST INTRO
More Intro Playing please ❤🎉❤🎉
Monday live was cool but I really miss the listening sessions
What is the song they are playing in the intro ?
Thanks
On second thought - what is this thing called love
It's What is this thing called love
please play more on the podcast!!
First time ever watching your show and was sad to hear you say you don't start every episode like that. As soon as you started playing I thought "Oh that's a really smart/creative way to start a show!"
BRIAN BLADE
love this shit
Why. all. the. full. stops?
You mean like "Religion" maybe you should look up the word "cult".
