  • Discover how studying bird flight could help inspire the development of better future aircraft. Engineers and scientists from the Flight Lab at the University of Bristol and the Structure and Motion Lab at the Royal Veterinary College have been analysing the science of how owls, eagles and falcons fly.
    Explore the latest research on:
How do birds use their tails?
How do birds cope with gusts?
This workshop includes an activity to do at home making simple paper gliders to show how the tail of a aircraft works, how birds tails operate differently, and how this could help make future aircraft more efficient.
See stories.rvc.ac... and eagle.rit.bris... for more information and resources for the workshop.
