The Bengals are in a great position here. Let's see how they handle it.
I like Tee and I hope he's able to help this team get back to the Super Bowl. But if he wants out, I'm a Bengals fan, not a Tee Higgins fan. Adios and all the best. I'm not optimistic about signing _anyone_ represented by Mulugheta.
I'd be great to get 2 draft picks for Tee, but I'm not sure he's such a hot target that there'll be a team willing to overpay. It does seem like the Bengals hold all of the cards, though, so that is a good position to be in.
i agree. Trade Tee Higgins. Since he asked. i think there is an 89% chance he'll get traded.
I knew this day would come 💔
Honestly it hurts… i love Tee. I would love to see him signing a long term extension but if we would trade up to NR4 and get MHJ i would be definetly fine.
very unrealistic
I do like him sorta. Talented yes top 10 receiver no.
@@Robert-1979 Higgings you mean? I‘d say Top 20
@Robert-1979 sure but we already have a top 10 receiver... having another one who's really good is the icing on top
I think this would be easier to swallow if he wasn’t such a great person. The way he carries himself, his attitude and his positive vibe that makes our team special. Dang it Tee. Now the agent…. 🤨
Tee don’t leave, we love you! I have never seen a duo like you and Jamar .
DJ Reader is more important IMO. He’s a huge part of the defense. Clearly we need him. Tee is just an awesome compliment to Chase.
100%. DJ is the heart of the defense. We need him.
Hope he stays. Great guy.
That’s if DJ reader is actually healthy.
@@513ovaeverything7Exactly, can't help if he can't play.
Tee is so important to this offense, especially if Chase is out from injury.
Bengals will not blink
Oh they won’t? O ok
Cause they’re sleeping.
He’s doing the team a favor. At least we’re gonna get something in return. And we don’t foolishly pay $100 million for a #2 receiver.
I agree you can't pay a second receiver top money
I say trade up with him in in the draft and go for Marvin Harrison Jr.
Absolutely. Use Tee, the 18th, and your 2nd to trade up and take Marvin Harrison
Absolutely great idea or Malik nabors
@@thatoneyoutuber463 Absolutely! Even if you can't get MHJ give me nabers or rome they are not gonna only fit in they are better
Bengals fans do not freak out. This will make the team better. It's a hard band-aid that we need to pull off.
Take no less than a number one draft pick
We'll be lucky to get a 3rd
@@SnoopyReads i was gonna say a 3rd and a 5th nobody is going to give up a 1st and have to pay tee lol
lol…that’s a big reach. 😂😂
Dang, this is a bummer.
It's OK. Keep Boyd..
Hate to see him go, however, I wish him the best 🏈
My understanding for Higgins is if traded and extended his options are a little more limited...whereas if he plays one more year for the Bengal making a ton of money on the franchise tag, potentially winning a Super Bowl, then next year he could sign with whoever he wants? Whereas this year forcing a trade potentially limits him to Bengals trade partners. I get him wanting to move on and be a Number 1 guy, but if he's patient he could benefit in some extra ways for his career and legacy.
If the agent did this im not surprised. You can actually tell he has a real issue with the bengals and he is purposely trying to keep the bengals as a team down so they can't win and have a future. If that ain't the case then and its just Tee wanting a boatload of money regardless of the team aspect then there's more of an issue going on about how business has to be done from the players point of view. Everyone wants to get paid but does the money really overtake a chance to my a legacy with a team and make history in the NFL. Nobody remembers if you make X amount of money but they surely will remember you being a big part of legacy with a team.
He doesn't ask or demand the Bengals of one dam thing.... He can go and
talk to teams and make his own deals: and the Bengals can accept... The
agent can go out and find deals..... The best for us would be for 2 or more
teams that want Tee, and the proposals keep getting better...
We are in a good position... but yes, if someone does not want to be on our
team, then I don't want them here..... Let's see how this plays out and what
we can get.... Who Dey!
Giants are interesting because they have a couple second round picks, but i think they want ammo to be able to move in the draft and get a qb, so it could be hard to get a deal done
Use him to move up for Brock Bowers and put the money towards chase's extension
Best idea of the lot. A positional need of the highest order while securing the future at the position affected.
Wow, Bowers and Chase in the same receiver room would be a pipe dream, I love this idea.
Bengals have the money for Chase. I agree move up for Browers. Get a second for Higgins. Use Higgins money to keep Reader (more important IMO) and sign a RT. Sign WR Gabe Davis, release Mixon and sign D Henry to a short term deal
@@EFD167 it's starting to look like that's the plan I don't hate that idea would love to keep reader and if we can fix the online I would absolutely love the king Henry signing
@@Jason-Austinor malik nabers would be incredible too
I think Yoshi would make a great replacement and Joe trusts him
Absolutely not
Not yet
I agree not yet I'm just saying he shows alot of promise and who knows how he'll look this season he did great his rookie year
No way😂😂😂
He's a wr3 at best
I’m happy he’s calling for a trade. He’s injury prone and that agent was never signing a deal with us. We all knew the Bengals wouldn’t do the smart thing and trade him.
Burrow injury prone. He always hurt. Stop that
@@513BENGALS i guess everyone else with an ACL/PCL/MCL and calf tear/achilles is injury prone too. Its not like his twisting his ankle or spraining constantly.
He's gotten hurt twice, 2 full seasons 2 AFC championship games, 50/50 @@513BENGALS
No. Just no.
@@513BENGALShey ass holl
He’ll hold out for awhile but end up showing up and playing. I’m not worried
I said two months ago higgins was going to be traded and boyd was going to stay. I was laughed at.
Well i still think your wrong but anything could happen. Mike Brown dont give a shit Tee wants traded he wont budge unless its a good offer
The Batman meme where he’s holding his parents saying “DONT LEAVE ME”.
Yeah that’s me.
We will sign him and keep him though the Super Bowl wins! Won’t go to Baltimore he’s a Tiger not a Raven. He needs to heal and prove himself again with the Bengals. Who tf are Dey?!
Well it was a fun ride Cincy.
It ain't over it's just beginning. We're evolving into a better team.
As long as we have 9 we’re going to be fine
they lost their wr2, they'll be fine. tee was off the field with injury as much as Burrow was last year.
@Prestoncurry543 you are either tripping or don't know football if you think they will build a better team than they had when burrow was on his rookie deal.
@@Chiefs555he said what he said period TF
Awesome as always thanks guys go bengals
Tee will play on the franchise tag. He doesnt have a choice unless he wants to give up on 21 Mil
Seem to me it about what y'all wants not what he wants the man family to feed u don't pay his bills
Business is business.
I was saying his past year would impact him in FA. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals offer this time is less than whet they offered last year.
I don't understand trading up. We have plenty of needs that a extra 2nd or 3rd would go a long way.
I hope they find a way to keep him. I know this is just business but it sucks!
Being an aggressive agent is a selling point to new players/clients. Making noise under the guise of getting the most for their client is free advertising for the agents. I doubt Tee wants to leave. Tee wants some guarantee, 1,000 yard seasons, and a ring. The tag gets him no guarantee.
The Bengals are in the cat bird seat in a similar way as they were with Palmer years back even though Tee's not a QB. If his agent wants to play hardball with Mike Brown he's picked the wrong guy to play with.. I seriously doubt Mike and family will play this game. They hold all the cards and Malugheta holds a player coming off an injury ridden season and quite a history of injuries..basically a hand of 6's and 7's and 9's and already changed cards and now wants to bluff with a big mirror right behind him?
Sounds like the same thing that happened with Jonah last year except that Tee is a much higher profile player. Jonah requested a trade due to lack of communication from the team. Tee is doing the same thing. Not accepting $21 million is just stupid.
Yes, I was worried that we would sign him
Great insight James👍
They don't blink baby that's why I love em
Maybe they should change it up. Their strategy hasn't worked.
@@Chiefs555maybe you should stop trolling 🧌 LMAO 🤣
Go find us that 1st and 4th tee
Trade for the 4th pick and give up whatever else the need! MHJ In Cincy is the biggest game changer for us!
Good! I was worried we were gonna keep him and miss out on all that we could save and get for him. Hopefully we honor his trade request. Trade to bears for 9th pick
Do you think we'll get a first round for him? I hope so, but I doubt it. Second seems much more likely.
@@SebastianGhering 2nd is too high they'll get a 3rd and a 5th
@@SebastianGhering trying to trade higgins for a second round pick is a desperate move. tee higgins was drafted at the 33rd pick and has exceeded expectations becoming a star wide receiver. his value is honestly at worst a mid-first round pick or higher. the bengals are looking to trade up in the draft for high quality picks, not second round picks. the bengals would only trade higgins for a second round pick if they was desperate to get rid of him
@@SebastianGhering I think the bears have enough draft capital and are in really good shape. They have money. They are likely to trade either Justin Fields or the 1st pick and get a ton more picks. Either way, they really need a weapon or two. Tee fits the bill. Bears have 2 first round picks ATM and likely to get more. I bet bears would go for it. Even if it means we throw in one of our extra sixth round picks. But I have my doubts that we even trade tee. Would be stupid but that's my guess
@@heathswinson6506 I like your thinking. I hope that works out, that'd be great, but I'm skeptical. The draft looks so WR heavy that I'd imagine even Bears would be happier to draft one with a 1st than trade it. We'll see tho, hope you're right!
Tee will always have my love no matter what. He deserves to be a WR 1 on a team. This was sadly inevitable but it's for the best of both parties. Hopefully we can get a good trade
Anything less than a top 10 pick would be less than I would give him up for.
Is anyone willing to take a team friendly deal to keep a superbowl caliber roster together for a long time? Of course it has to be a team mindset, not just the mindset of 1 person.
Can we please avoid dealing with mulagheta in the future. It clearly is never going to work out
Higgins and a few picks for Justin Jefferson or Higgins and a first round pick for a higher draft pick to get Marvin Harrison Jr. only two options I can see
Never happening
What? Justin Jefferson is gonna be asking for a bigger bag if not the same as Jamarr Chase at some point, if that was the case, they would be better off just keeping Tee
I am all in on your dream. If the league gives another cap increase next year like this one, they could definitely afford Joe, Chase and JJ. LET'S GOOOO!!! WHO DEY!
Guys is a no.2 WR and mostly hurt the last 2 years. Get a 1st for him or let him cry on the bench tagged.
Totally sucks to lose him. But this is a trade that must be made.
The team has many holes. Trading Tee will definitely help improve the roster.
I FELT SICK, BUT NOW THINKING LETS TRADE TEE AND MOVE UP FOR TE BROCK BOWERS!!!
I’d be surprised if they trade him, although I can’t blame Higgins for wanting more money that he deserves. Going to be interesting to see what the bengals do and would be interested to see what teams would offer us.
Come on bengals we have all this cap space. Ownership and the front office has got to be making moves. Fine we don’t blink and keep Tee tagged for 2 yrs. That’s an all in move. What isn’t an all in move is only signing Drew Smaple and Trayveon Williams. Doesn’t have to be a tier 1 & 2 free agent but you have to do something….
That dam agent
Move up in the draft with trading T Higgins to get Marvin Harrison Jr and use the money saved to go get another defense of guy
If all the players hate the franchise tag then why the fuck did they negotiate it into the Collective Bargaining Agreement??
I wouldn't use tee to move up in the draft. Tee Higgins to move up a few picks? Ok now pick 4 I probably would. But I wouldn't use tee and 18th pick to move up 8 or so picks. You could probably get the bears 9th pick with tee alone. Maybe ad a 6th rounder. I'd rather have 9th and 18th pick. Bears need a weapon for whichever QB they go with. They could use pick 9 on a possible weapon or trade pick 9 for a absolute weapon. They have the money to pay tee to. If I was GM, bears are the first call.
trading Tee and moving up in the 1st round to get Bowers would be great
@@gothard5 I just think we could keep pick 18 and trade tee straight up for the bears 9th pick. Maybe add one of our Xtra 6th rounders. Then have pick 9 and 18. Pick Bowers and Brian Thomas Jr. I do like Byron Murphy though. But maybe we address that position before the draft. We should make out by trading tee. Hopefully we trade him and not be f n dumb
I’m huge tee fan but imagine we get mazzarati for him 😮 wow
Well done James. Your analysis is always solid and well presented, but this one is on another level. Clear, concise, all of the key points identified. Keep up the great work…
Damn this sucks, yet I understand it's a business and players have to want what's in their best interests. Last season he was riddled with injuries, but when he is healthy he is still an elite receiver IMO. Without him on our field, teams can zero in even more now on Jamar Chase. Although we have a nice receiver room, we don't have another bookend of Tee's caliber. Hope it turns out for the best somehow, but if not best regards to Tee Higgins. On another note man we need DBs and offensive line men. Who Dey
Tee is the best WR in free agency and it’s not even close. Pittman signed a 3 year deal for 70 mil with the Colts a little while ago.
I if I was the Bengals management would t fuck with any of David Mullegetas clients. I would draft anyone he represents or sign any free agents he represents.
Great opportunity. Take full advantage of it
I know he don't want to leave cincy, it's his greedy agent. Hopefully higgins stay but if he doesn't, getting at worst a mid-first round pick for higgins straight up would work.
If you arent going to sign him to a contract then trade him. Teams will overpay for him so get what you can while you can.
Marvin Harrison Jr please
no chance in hell
@@gothard5agreed, but we can dream.
Him or nabors I'm fine with. Even odunze
Won't be there when they pick.
Tee Higgins can easily be traded up to get him
No! I dont want him to go.
All of y'all on here are crazy!!!! T is a camouflage beast. I use that term because he and Chase has two different dynamic of talents, unfortunately for him Burrow got off of making the relationship with Chase first on the field, but every time Chase was out and Higgins was next in line he balled. Not to mention Zac Taylor sucks at play calling let alone Brian Callahan!! They didn't use their whole WR core correctly!!!! They're the reason a powerful offense like that has seem stagnant!! (How is Callahan a HC!!!) I would be highly highly surprised if Higgins go somewhere else and not be monstrous and one of the best WR in the league, especially if he goes somewhere that only needs a WR and have everything else!!!
It's an agent thing.... Still don't think they trade him.
If we get what we want for him, then I say sure trade him.
Noooooooooo 😢
We cannot pay 2 WRs number 1 money. Because Chase will be the highest paid WR in the league and rightly so. The Chargers already tried this experiment with Mike Williams and Kennan Allen both 20 mil or more. They tried that and they started the season 53 milllion dollars OVER the cap. It’s a dumb idea. You can pay DJ Reader and sign a RT for what Tee would cost. I think they should get him off the books trade him to the highest bidder use the pick you get to draft another WR sign Mike Onwenu to play RT or potentially LG if we draft a tackle and also sign either Mike Geisiki or Hunter Henry, Noah Fant or Jonny Smith. And extend Reader for 2-3 years and get another nose tackle like Greg Gaines and still draft 2 DTs a 3 tech and a NT. Mike Giseki won’t cost that much and is is way bigger than Tee Higgins and he is faster and a better athlete than Tee is. Geisiki is 6’6’’ 247 ran a 4.53 and has a 41 inch vertical for Christs sake. I’m also glad they locked down Drew Sample for 3’years. He is Adam good blocker especially run blocking.
We should trade Tee to the Panthers right now for the 33rd pick. Tee Higgins was the 33rd pick in 2020 although I would also want one of their WRs Terrance Marshall jr a former LSU WR who played with Burrow and Company.
I heard earlier the bengals were eyeballing Thomas from lsu🧐🧐
I'm probably the only one uncomfortable and mildly frustrated that the First Healthy OFF-SEASON that Joe Burrow will finally have will not have Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon and Tyler Boyd.... 3 out of 4 known dependable receiving starters.... Definitely concerning to say the least!
He said the same thing about Jessie Bates. At what point do we look at the talent we have and value it? I don't think Tee has been hurt the last few years. I think he didn't play because he wanted an extension like JB
Not playing is not a particularly good way to enhance your value.
His agent is disruptive, its the Bates situation all over again but more dialed in. Request the trade that the WR market is in the draft and weapons are available, meaning this is Tee's chance to grab that bag. I understand the pressure but it seems like he isn't down to win with us for the next 2 years. Do what you gotta do homie but we moving on and we getting something. Iosivas, step up and dial in, be a star!
He money hungry and had all dem drops and was hurt
Nooooo!
I really hate that damn agent
Hollywood brown would be great to trade in my opinion.
Go Bengals make it happen keep yo qb up right
😢
It isn't a team game it is individual greed seekers that are unwilling to do what is best for the team and the QB that made and still makes him look good to start with. Same deal with Jonah Williams.
If we could turn Tee into MHJ or JJ somehow? I’d be thrilled
Bro Higgins was just starting to go off again😢
Big deal …. Literally !! JR is spot on.
I love Tee , but don’t want him if he might he be salty all year
Just extend him Bengals!
If not let’s trade up!
Chiefs gave up their #1 receiver & won a Super Bowl so can we WHO DEY BABY 🐅 💯
We don't have Patrick Mahomes or a defense
@@brianrobinson4710 Of course not we Burrow, the only 1 who has knocked off Mahommy & trading Higgs is where we start building a defense & better OL.
See You
Bro he just liked a post by on Tennessee
Cardinals have a lot of cap space. Have two first round picks. Maybe they'd do # 27 for Tee, and they wouldn't feel pressured to take a wr at #4. It's a long shot i know. Think tee won't go for that much.
Burrow should have taken a TEAM Friendly Deal
All that talk from Burrow and the front office about keeping the trio together was BS...not saying Burrow didn't deserve that money, but all that talk wasn't necessary if it wasn't going to happen....
Burrow is about Burrow.
@@brianrobinson4710 The Salary cap went up 30 million after his deal. It's not as bad as it seems
Having 2 great receivers won't win a super bowl. We need OL and DL help.
Plus TE and RB. Lots of holes.
Maybe the Bengals could trade Higgins and a 3rd round pick for Bates and Pitts.
Remember Carson? We won't blink, get our price, or he holds out and don't get paid .
Bengals not gonna do a damn thing in FA
Wish Tee could stay but I get it. Hope they can somehow get a 1st this season for him or an early 2nd and maybe 3rd or a 4th. Cincy can use the extra picks to boost their OL/D. Maybe now can resign Boyd. Just don’t trade Tee to KC lol
if traded ngl browers better be guranteeeeed
You guys need a reliable quarterback, one that can play more than a half season in a row. Justin Fields had almost the same stats as Lamar.
#stay
Yeah this is a power play from TEE corner and i know TEE has had some health problems over the years and he was a 2rd pick but still 1st pick of 2rd and just because that doesn't mean he's not valuable there's guy's players who's pick in later rds that we all know should easily went in the first and the same players becomes some of the best in the NFL what i see is what a player like TEE is how good is he on the field has he proven it an yeah TEE has besides health who thinks Hollywood brown is better than TEE or Calvin i believe TEE is more valued so i wouldn't take less than a 1rd in were between 15-35 but that's my opinion
Tee requesting a trade is like me requesting to win the PowerBar, good luck.
he loves to be in cincy. it's his agent that wants him to leave
