    Brings back memories for me to when i was Uchi Dechi in Wales/Cardiff for Shihan Gary Bufton and i was excersising 7-8 our´s monday to friday, making 1 000 situps every day, running in the morning, and in the evening about 15-20 km all together , on sunday only 2 ours training, but 1-2 times a month we had championship or grading at the club so i dream, training kyokushin karate almost every our in my life at that time.
    I also remember the waterfall training in Wales in wintertime and BBC was there to film us because they say we couldn't do it when it was below minus outside but i was from Sweden so no problemo...?
    It was hard but a god lesson for life and before i move to Wales i have train karate for several (8) years but it was first when i came to Wales and train for Shihan Gary i understood what Karate is all about.

    Nice played by the winner, excellent reflex and bang on target. Absolutely amazing sportsmanship. I feel sorry for loser, in fact he could have maintained speed - instead of attacking lower gate repeatedly from awkward stance he could have used simple back side kick or back heel kick to deter opponent.
    Nice video.
    Good wishes for both winner & loser.👍

      @@powerplay4real174 there is nothing like oyama karate,oyama is just founders name, I'm also Kyu Kushin student so Iam aware of what they are telling you in your dojo, full contact doesn't means others are not doing well & others are not going to hit, belive me every style of karate is lovely even every martial art is beautiful & deadly.
      Our Sensai use to call taikwando teacher he use to show us beautiful kiks , any katate student can never match the high kiks like that, it needs alot of dedication for that,
      When I joined kung fu our Sifu was a boxing champion so we got chance to learn boxing there. Just 5 days after attainding the class I came to know how versatile kung fu is. there are 100 things I was unaware of, but I was good in fighting just bcoz of my karate experience. It's my dream to learn judo & jujutsu, may be some day I will practice them.
      When you find kyo kushin is hard hitting just think about ninjutsu, myu thai & Krav Maga
      It's a journey dude enjoy it

    "If you always put limit[s] on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there -- you must go beyond them." Bruce Lee
    Would you please share your thoughts on how the two differ? Thank you

    • @BaradanMainali
      @BaradanMainali  2 роки тому +3

      Emphatically, the key to success lies in their mind, not in the bodies alone to any extreme endurance athletes. Bodies will succumb to the pain if and only if their minds allows it to. So, the limitation of oneself is the bar self created or the thought of a end point of the maximum limit of a person can go. If you allow it to make a margin (boundary) and uncertainty in anything you do then it will be the major factor not to push further more and can spread in your life not only in sports. In simpler words, Bruce lee simply tells not to make a limit for oneself as you can always push more and achieve more. Likewise when you are on a certain level or have success yet you can always have room for improvement and get better. Plateaus being a high flat land meaning you reach at top but the land is flat then you shouldn't think there are no more mountains to climb but have a vision of having no plateaus or not staying there and go beyond that level. In simpler words, just always keep pushing forward without limits and even after reaching certain level keep progressing and go beyond them. These are my thoughts regarding this quote. Thankyou !

    I agree on the rules of conduct being more important than live. It is with heavens help death before dishonour. Of the three big Karate forms, full contact, kyokushin and semi-contact, I prever semi-contact, because it teaches discipline and control over aggression and on cut with a sharp knife is all enough to die or kill if put in place appropriately.
    Just where I do come from, one of earth's hells kitchens right next to the stove, it is who is your enemey that defines your honor instead of how you fight your enemy. It would be disrespectful to fight provos' enemies respectfully to all honoroble creatures out there.

    Kyoushin has preserved the actual fear of fight and mastering the mind, but its too dangerous - full contact... especially for school kids doing karate and participating in every month in mushroomed tournaments... Even as a hardcore old Shito Ryu 2 Dan in late 90s, I will not put my kids into full contact tournaments, gone are the days when in 90s we used to do full contact fights in diff cities and districts and our parents unaware of it :) Good luck
