Warren won. But of course this is Thailand. There will always be biases for Thai fighters. Nevertheless, Warren won a lot of respect and I look forward to more of him. Fun match!!!
1st round was close but I gave it slightly to him but lost the 2nd and win the 3rd but I can see it being a draw.

From watching the vid twice:
Round 1: blue- 1 sweep, some glancing kicks to the head, punches to the head
Red- 2 sweeps (1 he fell with blue tho so it probably didnt score as well), some knees to the body.
I see this round as a draw.
R2: blue again with 1 sweep and some head punches.
Red dominates in clinch, throwing blue off balance multiple times to the point that it makes up for the sweep against him. Multiple knees to the body. Pressing the attack the whole round.
I think red wins this round
R3: blue holds his own much better in the clinch this round, basically keeps it even and is pressing the attack much more often.
Red basically just keeps it even in the clinch.
This round could be a tie but its leaning towards blue imo.
I dont know much about the scoring of muay thai, but i know some of the basics. I also dont want to say national bias doesnt exist, because it does everywhere. But tbh I think a draw was a very fair call for this match. Im up to discuss why and try and answer any questions. Great fight either way.

@@nathanbrown4689 moreover points are also awarded for how good your defense is. Hence the reason why most Thai fighters stand infront of their opponents with their hands up. They heavily felt on how much damage and hits you can take. You need tk absorb some power but at the same time, attack with more power. They'll never try to dodge or weave, they'll always take the hits in their own ways

Ref was no joke either. A few times I thought he stepped between them a little too fast. And the ref didn’t have a problem with snatching them around the neck to get a clear break. 🙂

Damn I love Muay Thai! It's awesome to see boxers like Lomancheco. The skill he possess is uncanny. Watching someone with skill like that is amazing. The only thing that sucks is boxers don't have a long shelf life. You don't see to many with 350 professional fights and still dominating at the sport in there late 40's to early 50's. Es0ecially without suffering some type of brain Injury.
But Thai fighters can almost go forever. It's not about smacking the person's head over and over. Watching Thai' s fight is like watching a chess match. The upper echelon fighters don't throw anything without it having some type of plan behind it.

Honestly I found this match so entertaining, who gives a fuck who won or lost, the fight was amazing, no one sided domination thru the whole match, fighters showed a lot of heart and respect. The way the vietnamiam guy came to hug the American guy is so great. Idk I just had a blast watching this. I'm happy it was a draw !!

Don't know what fight you watched. In any competition the strikes have to land. Warren landed more, more solidly, and blocked most of Lings shots. No need to insult people for having a different view.
What a great match. I think the American won but what are you going to do? This kind of thing happens even in more organized sports and in more organized countries as well. It sucks but unfortunately that's a part of combat sports. I hope one day things will improve. Maybe AI can help.

great fight both warriors, i will explain the thai scoring system : judges don't look at the blood or the fatigue or the apparent domination or whatever, any clear hit will generate points, also sweeps, blocked hits counts for 0 then they can withdraw points for someone who lose balance also. by this counting system, even if the knees to the body doesnt look very strong, in the sole round 2 the thai guy make maybe 25 points vs only 6 point for the US guy, but then the US dude he lands some greats swipes and head punches the other rounds that compensate. it's a legit draw.

In Muay Thai, showing you have good Balance (whether offensive or defensive) give you a huge point advantage, this is why Buakaw get really Angry whenever an opponent of his tries to take him down.
