It's apparently worth $500. Asking price is not "worth." His auction win was the highest paid for an undrilled one in the last 3 years on eBay. Drilled, they go for about $150.

@@220avg If you use ebays terapeak research feature in the seller hub you can see back 3 years but won't show the full listing, just the result and maybe a photo. I searched for Mikasa bowling ball and sorted by highest sold price. 5/3/22 a clear orange sold for $149 + s/h. You can't see the full listing but you can zoom in on the photo. Ball has two sets of plug marks.
Do it right at the pro Shop. That Ball deserves it. I'd be curious to see how it looks in Cosmic Bowling.

You cannot drill a Mikasa by hand. Even with a drill press you will need to drill it under water. It breaks drill bits.

Wrap in plastic if you keep it in cardboard box. Or on wood. So it doesn’t dry out

Honestly based on its reaction, I wouldn’t even drill it. Leave it on the mantle or repost it and maybe make 7k off it😂 just my opinion of course but I wouldn’t drill it.

I'm thinking the same on this one. That ball is just too perfect to drill. I have an undrilled storm golf ball that I refuse to drill so drilling the Mikasa ball would just be painful

These are around alot in orange county. Very few people drill them cuz they're so hard to drill. But they are worth a pretty penny too

I had a blue ball like that for a couple of years. The weight block inside looked like a sparkly Hershey's kiss~~~!
I have a yellow one with a sparkly Hershey kiss looking weight block that is undrilled.

Ok, they're acrylic but the green and pink don't look translucent. The purple one does however
That ball don’t curve at all haha sometimes plastic curve just a lil bit so if u like super super stright it’s perfect haha
how do bowling companies not have an option for this? Guitars have "custom shop" editions where you can get anything done. All they would have to do is use an existing mold and put different colors in it. And for that money? So worth it for them. I guess the PBA would hate them for that, but serial numbers exist?

Does that ball have a weight block in it? I once had a plastic ball that had a bullet shaped block inside back in the '70s. I tended to use it as a spare shot.

Would love to see you throw an Ebonite Clear Wolf from the mid 90s. I had 2, one dull drilled for early roll and one that was a marble drilled to go forever. Yeah, I know they were plastic. But oil was expensive and bowling alleys didn't like to use it in the 90s. That Mikasa hits like a train.

I know a guy and his step son in Vacaville that each had one drilled up for use as their spare ball. I think it was the standard green and orange one though.
I know of a couple 1 of 1s from promotions that i have seen got for right around 10k. Theres this ball that McDonald's commissioned Jentek to make 1 of and last saw it in a pro shop.
I remember these in the proshop i went to as a kid!

This is why Gem Tech was such an awesome ball, they had cool looking colored see thru balls, with weight blocks inside. Why drill a plastic ball with no weight block? You may as well leave it as decoration in your home. I wouldnt have thrown it even undrilled as it can only get nicks from wear and tear and then it wont looks as marvelous with light behind it.

Drilling it would only cause you to compromise the surface and ruin it(Plastic starts to chip and crack around drilled holes... save it and don't drill it.
