Given that we have two Dracula movies from Universal this year (Renfield and Last Voyage of The Deemter) it wouldn’t be hard for Universal to give us two different Mummy movies, one being a sequel to the Bredean Frasher movies and the other being a more faithful horror remake of the 1931 original that Luca Guadagnino wants to direct but give it at different title like maybe call it Imhotep.

I would want to see them reboot the Dark Universe and first of all rename it to the “Universal Monster Universe” and have the entire universe have the entire theme, tone, and music of Van Helsing from 2004. It’s sad we never got to see Van Helsing 2 and the Transylvania series or the Universal Monster Universe. Hope we get a Invisible Man 2 & 3.

Beautiful cgi and with much more practical incorporated. More focus on horror with sprinkles of badass action scenes is what I would want to see in a universe monster cinematic universe.
That last fight between a young werewolf and an older werewolf in the wolfman 2009 was nasty.

Thank you for telling me this I am a universal monsters fan. And I didn’t really know they were originally going to have sequels/movies. So thank you for telling me of the cancel movies of my favorite franchise. 👍👍👍👍

One reason you may not have gotten a sequel to Phantom of the Opera, is that Lon Chaney would not have agreed to it. Chaney had a falling out with Universal, and had no interest in doing more work for the studio. Chaney even refused to do any voice work, for the release of the Phantom, where sound had been added. It's also why Chaney would have refused to have played Dracula for Universal. Chaney had a great working relationship with MGM and Producer Irving Thalberg, so he had no interest in doing any more work for Universal.

I just don't understand using the ridiculous reasoning for hating musicals being its unrealistic for people to break out in song, and then carry on in a full episode of discussing worlds where unrealistic events like vampires, wolfmen, mummies, and other fictitious monsters show up throughout the films as if seeing these types of events happens in the real world.
All of these things are called "Fiction" for a reason.
If you are going to hate something at least own it as your personal taste, don't BS us and try and feed us such a hypocritical nonsense reason for hating it.
It made me not place much value on any of the rest of the comments you had through the rest of the video.

and it's a moot point anyway. Because there was nothing to suggest it would be a musical in the first place. Just a story that takes place around an opera. Not to mention the Claude Rains version wasn't a musical either.

Van Helsing is a great movie. :D & I also love the animated prequel, the London Assignment.
