Beautiful beaches?? Blue waters?? There are many in Malaysia, Pulau Perhentian, Redang, Tioman, Desaru, World famous Manukan, Sabah, Tanjung Aru.

Penang go during weekdays & off peak is the best. I never go during public or school holidays.

Cause Penang does not have the best beaches or waters to swim. If you want really turqoise waters and white sands, nothing beats Perhentian, Kapas or Redang Islands in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, or the world's best dive site - Sipadan Islands in the Borneo part of Malaysia.

I highly recommend u guys go to Melaka or maybe Genting Highlands located in Pahang. Gengting Highlands is act a tourism hotspot like everythings gonna be expensive but u can just watch, experience and feel the different vibe in Malaysia. I like it so much there. It's so cold up the mountain, have a cable car as well to get to the entrance of the theme park and hugee malls. It's a big place up on the mountain ngl. It's definitely fine not to try all the things coz as local, we dont do tht either way. Just i hope u can experience the vibe up there. I like it so much. And more about melaka. It has a lot of portugal's influence as Melaka is one of the state tht have been colonized by portugal long ago. It's simply a heritage hotspot in Malaysia.

Probably because there are only locals going there but as usual, when it is just at your backyard, you probably won't go there as much as you expected to be when you weren't there 😂. Only locals since others (outsiders) wouldn't go to Penang for beaches because we have all the beauty beaches and island at the other side of Malaysia, the East Coast which have cleaner and clearer water from South China Sea. The water on the West Coast side is from Malacca Straits, the most busy straits in the whole world, the big ships highways. So check out Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang beaches and islands.

The water in the Straits of Malacca is a bit murky. That is because the strait of Malacca is the 2nd busiest sea route in the world after the English channel. Penang beaches are beautiful but they are probably not in the top 50 best beaches list of Malaysia. Bear in mind that West Malaysia is a peninsular and East Malaysia is on a huge island, therefore beaches are aplenty. If you guys really love beaches, the East coast facing the South China Sea is better. Or better yet, simply head to Borneo.

What time of the day was it when you were on the beach? Locals won't go when the sun is high up in the sky. Plus the water looked murky.

You should try to walk down along the beach a bit further..there's a spot isolated from the main beach which i think the water tends to be clearer. Try Perhentian islands(also known as the Maldives of Malaysia), Redang island, Tioman island etc. Further down from Batu Ferringi there's another beach called Teluk Bahak.

    • @kamarulhisham3203

You need to go to east coast of peninsula to find crystal clear waters on these famous islands:
    Perhentian islands
    Kapas island
    Redang island
    Rawa island
    Tioman island
    Lang Tengah

Hey you two! Glad you finally found some vegetarian food. As others commented, nicer sand beaches with clear water are Langkawi, Terengganu and other parts of Malaysia. But when you come back to Penang, do visit the National Park.

    Lets conclude it as:
So here's every state and what it promotes,
    1. Selangor: KL situated here
    2. Johor: Big modern city live
    3. Pahang: cameron highlands and genting highland(i do recommend GH tho)
    4. Terengganu: mesmerizing Islands
    5. Melaka: Heritage city
    6. Sabah: Beautiful beaches, islands and CHEAP SEAFOOD
    7. Sarawak: Orang utan sanctuary and CHEAP seafood also.
(P/s: There're act a lot more states but ik u guys r only stay here for 3 weeks so i just recommend states tht i *personally* think worth to visit. It's just my personal view and idc if any of u disagree so keep ur hands away from ur keyboard rn😂. Also this is only a general points, like i stated "mesmerizing islands" but i dont name it or i just simply dont name any shop's name to visit. U can choose by urself or just ask us by doing pole or maybe ask us on youtube community. We're more than happy to answer them. Have a blast both of u!)

The waters of the Straits of Malacca is not that clear... Just 80 km away is the island of Sumatera... so relatively enclosed ocean (rather than open ocean). Langkawai is relatively cleaner...
