    Bach is a man with anglic feelings no one can ever beat him in composing music ,, when actuly listen to bach music from start to the end its all written just perfectly and butiful this man 100% he was blessed from someone ,,,, he is trully legendary and his music is not natural music its something like blessed music and he is the master of music all time,, not even mozart or beethoven can compose those ( fuges ) that bach was composing them easly,,, the fuge is very hard music to be composed it needs someone really really jeenus becus this kind of music maybe from the bigining its easy to be composed but after 2 min its gona be harder and harder and harder thats why bach is jenus he can compose a fuge with even 7 min and its all written perfctly thats so amazed !

    Hi Allysia first of all I love your videos, they're suuper informative especially for a beginner like me. I have a quick question. I've only been playing the piano for about 3 weeks now on the ones at my university, but I want to continue practicing over the summer. Do you have any recommendations on keyboards? Preferably something affordable. I know quality ones are going to be really expensive, but I just want something I can practice on. Any input would be great. Thanks!

    • @joshs.5384
      @joshs.5384 7 років тому +2

      I have to agree with moglipianist. Look for a digital piano with weighted keys, that's touch sensitive, and has a decent amount of polyphony (amount of notes that can be played at once, this is important when sustaining lots of notes). The Yamaha p45 is a great starter piano. It has 88 keys, 64 key polyphony (not great but plenty for a beginner), and weighted keys (feels like a real piano). Casio has some cheaper pianos in the PX series also. I think Kawai and Roland have a few cheaper ones too.
      Watch out for "keyboards," a lot of them have very light spring action and don't feel like a real piano at all. This would be obviously be bad to practice on, because when you switch to a real piano it's going to feel very different!

      Thanks everyone! It's really not my area of expertise, so I'll defer to you guys for details - and just want to state again how important weighted keys, and a full-length keyboard is. Plus you'll want to pick up a damper pedal if the keyboard doesn't come with one.

    It's very often a matter of perspective with Bach I think, some of the pieces of Das Wohltemperierte Klavier could be considered as Henle 9 I think, just look at the a minor fugue of book 1, but it depends what your way of interpretation is with Bach, if you want to play it with a bit more legato it can be extremely challenging, I think since Henle is all about the authenticity of the piece, and the piano Bach used really only being able to play staccato, Henle puts some of these pieces at a lower level

    • @DirkdeZwijger
      @DirkdeZwijger 9 місяців тому

      I think henle 7 is not a bad rating for the piece. I have not played it and it certainly looks hard. Though you must take some Goldberg variations and some pieces of the Art of the Fugue into consideration too, which I think are harder still

    • @TomSistermans
      @TomSistermans 9 місяців тому

      @@DirkdeZwijger Yeah tbh, I think Henle 9 is a bit too much anyway, like Beethoven Appassionata is the same level as Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit? Like it doesn't even come close.

      Ben Atchison It's a late intermediate/early advanced piece, around RCM grades 5-7. It's one of the easier preludes.

      It is an underrated one, but great start for beginners who love Chopin, just make sure that you can reach a 10th on the keyboard, coz there is a 10th note in the 9th bar.

    Hi! I have a question, what do you do to attain ear mastery? like being able to play by ear

  • @johnkiunke5617
    @johnkiunke5617 7 років тому +1

    A little picky but, the R is pronounced in clavier, Bach was German, Klavier/Clavier was just a word for clavichords and fortepianos.

    I think Bach's Little Fugue is one of the hardest cuz you have to play a melody with the right hand, a different melody with the left hand and a different melody with your feet so it looks like your dancing around its kinda ridiculous.

    What are you thoughts on Anime piano? U type piano on UA-cam and most of them are from Anime sound track what's so special about them? You could try - the first variations, if I remember correctly, aren't quite as difficult.

      @dcunited710 7 років тому

      I'll try, and I found an edition of them by Czerny with perfect fingering. The first variation feels like his book of little preludes, and there is another early variation that is slow and short.

    The BWV 847 is not really easy. Especially the prelude seems to be harder than the fuge. I still struggle with the fast notes in this piece.
    The well known c major prelude is easy and ist followed by a quite hard fugue.

    • @varunsathya696

      That depends, Henle is based on difficulty, abrsm and rcm are not really good at determining the difficulty. For instance, mozart Turkish march is RCM grade 8 and so is most of Bach's inventions. But henle is different
